If you could only watch one study video, *THIS* is the one I would urge you to internalize. Comment "I choose to put myself first" if you're serious about becoming an ACADEMIC WEAPON 🔥 What is an academic weapon? No, not a bookworm, not just a straight A student. This is the cool, smart student you were always meant to be. All you have to do is choose the right path at the forking roads in the decision tree. When you choose the right path, you are *CHOOSING YOURSELF*. All the study tips in the world are *useless* if you succumb to temptations that literally cancel out your efforts. This video's mindset is the KEY to why, even with the same study tips as someone else, I can excel in school, sports, ANYTHING 10x times easier. If you're not focusing on the 3 critical crossroads, don't say you're not smart. Don't say you can't do it. Until you consistently use my advice for 3 days, don't think you need more tips. Choose to identity as an "academic weapon", embody their habits, and you will inevitably become one 🧡
Hey Amy! I just completed my 8th grade and will be giving the entrance for 9th 😸 are there any tips for how we should prepare for entrances .... Love from India
"No matter how naturally smart you are" caught me. I was always naturally smart but in the past year i got a social media addiction that was so bad to me. My grades were so bad, even my teachers noticed my downfall. This year i choose to be the top student again, and fighting every day for my dream life.
The same thing happened with me i got addicted to social media during covid my grades fell too downand i have improved alot but i am still trying to be better but this year is my boards . Please pray for me guys!
Summary!! ●Killer Mindset -Decision tree -Golf Ball Analogy ●3 crossroads -When you get your work back -Downtime in class -After an event at home ●How to battle temptation -No one except you can control your body -Believe you can -Choices can have compounding effects -Consume healthy things with mind Thank you so much Amy!
@@BLiNk.TeUMe. Just as Amy said, watch the video first. I made the summary because sometimes I forget what was told In the video, so I come back and see the summary.
"It's all about your choices and being okay with being different from everyone else. It's being okay with standing out and not caring that you're standing out." I needed that. I Think I went through all these long months of burnt-out just because of that. Thank you! I've always admired you. I hope that just as you say I'll make the right choices for myself will help me finally recover and bounce back the persistent me I was once back in high school and a year ago. You're such a blessing! You deserve the best!
i got you gurl, being different from everyone else is so lonely, but thats just how it is.. its like wanting to be a no 1 is like being ontop of the peak mountain alone by yourself, while everyone else is enjoying and wasting their time at the bottom of the mountain im not a top student myself but im always alone by myself doing different things from my classmates, (not good because i always sketching or read novels, but im about to change that with Amys tip by reviewing my notes all that hihi) but theres this one top student in my class who seems she have a lot of friends because of her straight As results.. but when its like we have break time in class, i can see shes always alone by herself while her other friends were talking, joking around all that and thats just what i notice in succesful people, they always are alone by themself because they chose people with great qualities, and if they dont find then they will just fill the lonely time by doing things that have high qualities like studying and reviewing! :)))
I was and still an academic achiever who overworks myself just to finish homework and sleep at 3am, i got burnt out and stressed to the point i lost the energy or excitement i had when i went to school. I thought it was over for me but after this i got motivated to continue pushing forward. Thanks for making this!
Hi good to know your story but I really need to know how you got motivated after the burnout I really NEED to know ( I am dealing with the recovery from a burnout and in a critical time for motivation :) )
@@لبنىالفقيه-ي7ي I watch motivational videos such as self care and how to organize my schedule so i can slowly recover from burn outs and so. I also let out my feelings on something such as my notes or a friend you can talk with about what you're feeling. Sometimes, letting out what i feel makes me relieved.
@@لبنىالفقيه-ي7ي everyone has their time and their motivations are different. this has helped her and something else helped me but I do need a little more push
I am being completely honest here Amy ... THIS is the BEST , I repeat THE BEST (according to me:)) study-tube content I've ever encountered. Also, I totally believe if someone wins those 3 crossroads , they'll eventually come across a bunch of study tips that'll work for them. Thank you soooooo much , girl ! [PS. YOU LOOK GORGEOUS IN THOSE EYELINER
My siblings keep telling me there's no way I'll ace all my high school classes. Have an A+ in all them right now, and my main motivation is proving them wrong! Thank you so much for your tips though! I have been using one of your older tips of keeping a notebook next to me to jot down thoughts instead of going down the rabbit holes of googling random stuff...TYSM! P.S. please make more math sense videos!
That's awesome - yes you can definitely do it! Glad you're using my tips. Math sense vids like this one are here: ua-cam.com/video/HKv0qf3H21g/v-deo.htmlsi=hTvxoSYie_Yb8t4n
Things that stuck in to my brain: 1. “It is not our abilities that show what we truly are, it is our choices” 2. Believe that you can become an academic weapon 3. To live an extraordinary life someday, you need to live an extraordinary life today 4. The earlier you start the farther you would go 5. The Golf Ball Analogy 6. Be okay with standing out, because it is not them that will become an academic weapon it is you! 7. “You can’t be number 1 if you are not odd”
I am a student who is studying right now in college. In my early school days i used to get a lot more grades than i do now. This downfall started after covid 19. I didn't feel like doing my homework and always used my phone when i had time. This led me to numerous assignments pending and at the submission dates i had to rush and got really stressed. Now everyday after my college i do homework in that day, i have reduced my screen time and tried to focus more. Your videos have really inspired me. Your tips are really great and effective. Nowadays i am happy and i have no pending work. I have time for myself and my family. Thank you so much for these videos you make. They keep me going.
Girl you are my daughter's role model and now I see why . I've seen some great changes in her since she started watching you. She always she wants to become just like you and I know she can. And the best part is that before she does anything she asks herself, what would wAmy do😂😂😂. It's just great how she adores you 😊😊😊
Hi Simon, thank you so much for sharing. That's so sweet of your daughter and warms my heart that I can be a good role model to her. Please tell her a big thank you from me and that I'm rooting for her! ❤️
There's also that planes taking off with a 2° difference in their direction and landing in completely different places hundreds of miles away, it was in atomic habits iirc
I've watched this 3 months ago but it's now 4 months and thank you thank you thank you! for helping. I am proud of myself my teacher is also and even my parents. I got 90-98% in my previous class. thanks again!
i love the amount of importance you give to time! wasting time on things that we're so used to do that does not help us at the end of the road is one of the main things to change.
I dont want a dream house, i dont what a ton of money, i dont want to sell my time. We have a limited amount of time on this earth, so why should we devote our lives to imaginary paper and not devote it on youseld. Achieve things you aspire to do, not the things that were ungrained into you. That's my belief That being said, all the things she said in this video are amazing advice for you to achieve those things.
01:52 Believe in yourself to become a top student 03:44 Start making right decisions early for compound success 05:36 Pay attention to small decisions for a successful life trajectory. 07:28 Use downtime to be productive and stand out. 09:20 Utilize momentum for productivity at home. 11:12 Maintain the mindset and discipline to become a star student. 13:04 Choose the path that leads to your desired destination. 14:52 Focus on making the right decisions daily for academic success.
yess we wanna know, how did it go? If it went good than great! and if it didnt just know one exam doesn't define your abilities or future success and you always can work harder next time
You are really down to earth on this. I expect some other else but this is what I thought about whenever I failed to study completely for an exam. Each and every micro decision is important. And that bonus tip, well sometimes I thought about this, how to do this work faster and less harder. The only reason I commented on this, is due to your truth about being academic weapon.
Hello Amy!! You have helped me so much to transform myself from a Low B student in high school to a 4.0 A+ student in college 🤩. Im in my 3rd year and all of my habits and work that I put in have truly improved my life entirely just like you said would happen in this video. I started college when I was 17 in 2021 and I was already doing most of the important stuff needed to be successful naturally but after finding you in my 2nd year which was last year, My grades skyrocketed to straight A’s and a 4.0 gpa for the last 3 semesters taking 15 units each. Thank you so much for your videos, I love them and you so much! ❤
As a 32y/o college student… thank you for this. I may have aimed low on my tree earlier in life but I plan to make up for it now. Your honesty, no b.s approach is great. Thank you. ❤
OMG! This has inspired me a lot! I scored 80% in my sophomore year, a 89% in my junior year and now im in my senior year and I ASPIRE to score more than 95%. All these tips have actually changed my perspective and made me realise my mistakes. THANKS A LOT AMY..
Wow, thank you so much. I was starting to get discouraged, but this video gave me the force to keep pushing. I'll come back at the end of THIS SCHOOL YEAR to tell you my accomplishments.
Im being real.. like i swear i literally subscribed her right after this video.. likee IM SPEECHLESS!!.. she is saurrr nicee and every word she says is so helpful.. she is literally the best person ever.. she is even soo pretty omgg she is my fav youtuber from now her videos are really good..!!!
wamy, I don't know how to express my gratitude towards you, I'm currently reading atomic habits and these are the exact things you explained (those mentioned in chp 1 and 2) this video is like a guidance to me to understand those mentioned things more deeply! I'm very happy cuz these are the EXACT things I'm working on rn, THANKYOU SO MUCH YOURE SUCH A LIFE SAVER ❤
This has actually genuinely helped me. This specific study video is the only thing that has actually benefited me and the only video I’ve genuinely sticked to. Thanks so much for changing my life ❤
Thank you for the tips! I'm going into high school in a little more than 3 weeks and these tips really motivated me to keep working hard, even towards an uncertain future! TYSM! Your hard work is rlly impacting people in the most positive way!
THIS is what i needed. Thank you soooooo much Amy! YOU are my literal inspiration and THAT student, like my older sister and just someone I'd always look up to. Love you loads. Sending a BIG virtual hug!!!!!!💌
I love the tip on minimizing transition time between activities, definitely will being using/trying that tidbit of advice! Contrary to that, though, I cannot focus if I go straight from school to homework; my mind is too overloaded and tired from school to do homework well. Instead, I use my momentum to workout and refresh my mental energy, not going on my cell phone. Sometimes you need constructive breaks to keep your momentum going strong!
I think the third crossroad is what happened to me during summer break after first year of undergraduate. I had a three-month lone break and did almost nothing productive and kinda got a little depressed (because that's just home is to me) and now I'm struggling to get back into the academic weapon mindset. I guess i saw this video in the right time.
You are the most INSPIRING vlogers out there! You may not be THAT popular…but you will be after I send this to all my friends, 1000 cousins, all my classmates, all my young aunts, AND EVEN MY STUFFED ANIMAL IF I CAN!!! These should be the new popular tictoks!! Everyone who sees this comment should do the same! And btw, your eyeliner looks great!
This video encouraged and motivated me a lot. You not only gave tips to become an academic weapon, you shared YOUR experiences with us and that really helped me believe that I can TRULY succeed! You look GORGEOUS too!! :)
After summer vacation this year I was so ready and excited for university for the first time in my entire life but my classmates are so annoying they are so negative even if I tell myself it won’t affect me it does when I go back home I sleep to avoid the feelings and do my workout if I still have a little energy 😡 I’m so mad at myself ….. this video was needed ❤
I don't know if I'm already too late. Currently I am 23 y.o (turning 24 this year) and now already one month into my master's degree. Overall, this is the most studious I've been. I realized I didn't try hard enough at school so I did better in my bachelor's degree. But I still feel I didn't try hard enough. I'm not satisfied and right now I'm still yearning for that master's degree at the top 3 college in my country. Last year, I failed to apply there and I want to try again this year.. I'm like 2-3 months away and is perfecting my thesis proposal. But I'm doing all I can by really studying and applying the things I've studied this one month to prepare for my application in that top college. Wish me luck guys..
You're too hard on yourself; it's not too late at all, and there's plenty of time to make the most of your situation. You're in the prime of your life and academic career- you got this!
@@MariaSantos-uo3pb Thank you so much. I am a little insecure since people started so young. 18 or 19 and already thriving and yet here I am, still have yet to find a decent job and studying. Pandemic stole my precious 2 years of bachelor's degree so it ain't helping me at all, haha. But I digress.. again, thank you so much I needed that reassurance 🥹
I feel so called out but in a good way. Especially about the transition time when coming home. Literally it's so true, I'll go on my phone then find it hard to study again later in they day.
I only have watched two of your videos and it helped me a lot, I am pursuing a very unconventional course but everything you say applies to me as well. I only wish I were to stumble upon one of your videos earlier to save myself from the trouble I am facing now. In essence, Thank you
I am going to put the things that I learned in this video. - Being different is okay, its okay to stick out and not be like everyone else. - Peer pressure doesn't control you, you are the one controlling your body. - Being a decision maker is needed to not follow everyone else. - Doing the hard work is never easy, there will be hard times and times where you will be tested, but its up to you to put the work in. - I choose to put myself first.
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: [00:00] Introduction & Mindset - Belief in your ability to succeed is critical for academic achievement. - Dedication and hard work are required to reach your academic goals. - The video presenter emphasizes the importance of making the right choices. [02:21] The Power of Small Decisions [Lightbulb] - Small choices made today can have a significant cumulative impact over time. - The video uses a golf ball analogy to illustrate how seemingly minor decisions can lead to vastly different outcomes in the future. [04:41] The 1st Crossroads: Reviewing Graded Work [Checkmark] - Reviewing your graded work immediately after receiving it is a critical crossroads. - Analyzing mistakes and reviewing correct answers reinforces knowledge through spaced repetition. - This strategy helps you learn more effectively and study less in the long run. [06:18] The 3rd Crossroads: After-Event Transitions at Home [ Break] - The most challenging crossroads are transition times at home, like after school or dinner. - Students who are successful leverage these moments to stay productive. - The key is to avoid distractions like grabbing a snack or using your phone. [08:37] Prioritizing Focus Over Popular Study Tips [Star Strategist] - Mastering the 3 critical crossroads is more important than popular study tips like active recall or reading before class. - Focusing on these crossroads will help you create more time for studying and using the techniques that work best for you. [09:46] Overcoming Challenges & Staying Motivated [ Perseverance] - The path to becoming a star student requires consistent effort and overcoming challenges. - Believing in your potential and surrounding yourself with positive influences are key. - Unfollow people on social media who make you feel bad and focus on consuming content from successful people. I just saw this, and it's incredible! The advice is quite clear-cut and useful. I adore how you emphasize efficiency and mentality over cramming. The three-day challenge looks challenging but manageable, and I will absolutely attempt to include it into my daily practice. I appreciate the inspiration and all of the doable actions.
Came from your video on improving focus so I am practicing by summarizing and internalizing the video as soon as I finished it. Time is of the essence and every little decision you make during your limited time makes a huge difference. This is visualized by the decision tree branching out or the difference between two golf balls hit only 2 degrees apart. There are three critical moments in time when we can make a good decision. 1) when we get work back - do the review then an there so it save study time later and your understanding of the subject is stronger 2) down time - its ok to relax once in a while but giving yourself something simple yet productive (reading, looking over notes etc.) can maximize the time you are given 3) time after main events especially after school - this time is unstructured so it can be very easy to fall into spendlgn time unproductively
*spending time unproductively so try to just start with the easiest thing, like writing you name to maintain the momentum you had during the school day. At each critical moment and other times, you will be tempted to break your discipline but know that you are the only person who can control what you do so don't give in to distractions and remind yourself of where your dream destination is.
Thank you SO much for making this video. The other videos on how to improve weren't really helping me, but this one really is. It's helping me change my mindset as I go -- I was just about to start 9th grade when I watched it -- and now my grades are a LOT better than they were in 8th grade.
I swear this is the only video that has kept me motivated through this week. Whenever, I dont feel like studying, I think about this video or even watch it again if i rlly feel unmotivated... Tysm Amy ❤️
I always regretted not becoming the Valedictorian during my gradeschool years, sure, I moved there a year before the graduation, which means I didnt have a high loyalty factor, and I was also a star student, and still included in the honor section in 6th grade, but I was disappointed.. But at the start of 7th grade, I realised I can still change and make my future decisions, and I started working harder, but still enjoyed my life.. And by 10th grade graduation, I became Valedictorian with over 10 achievements, all because I woke up and realised that I could change. And so can you.
Tomorrow I have to go to school after 5 years, and I am drowning in anxiety. Thanks for your video, I get a bit calmer now, I will try to do these and thanks a lot. Throughout these years my life broke into pieces and it's so hard to get it together. Wish me luck...(:
I started questioning if the changes im making are right for me because im not putting them into practice and my study schedule is so unrealistic but i realise now what puts my work off is my transition period. This video really pinpointed my weakness thank you
one thing that helped me is to track my progress, not just in academics but also in my personal life. I am a different person to who I was before, and seeing my growth just motivates me more. Even in slumps, I might feel the same, but I act differently and am in a different position. I truly am a more productive person than I was before.
I choose to put myself first, I've always struggled with doing homework and remembering different methods mostly because of procrastination. And i don't want to look back on my academic background and frown, i want to smile, grin and laugh, i want my job decisions as wide as possible and want my dream life achieved. And little by little, every day, i will do something good for me. And i will get my life and grades together. Thank you Amy! Ill check back immediately after a few months when im all good and a straight A+ student!~Nova, out!
I usually don't comment on videos but damn Amy! This one was goood!! Really helpful, I was going through a rough patch, having trouble focusing on my exams. But now, I know what was keeping me away from achieving my full potential. Thank you :)
the quality of your content has always been exceptional, but, recently, you've completed exceeded my expectations of your potential. I don't know if it was me growing up and understanding stuff better, or you learning how to better articulate your experiences and advice- but the impact your videos have had on me has increased by a significant amount; and judging by all the other comments, it's not just me. keep it up, amy. we're all so fucking proud of your growth.
I appreciate your kind words and support so so much! Your comment encourages me to keep working hard to help you all :) I'm so fricken grateful for our A-Team community!
Litterally this week i started to think that i want to become better at school cuz im not the best when speaking of school, then i find this video. This video really inspired me and brought me determination to get better as in September i will do 8th grade wich is the last year of middle school here (i dont know about America) so everything I do counts this year, I hope i will pass the year and I hope this video will be helpful to many others!
Thx girly This is the perfect motivation that I needed since school is starting in less than 2 days for me!! I am going to a new school for high school and I'm going to make that academic comeback (I'm trying to get straight A's for principal's honor roll). Me and the new friends I make in this school year are going to ace their grades
Wow, I just came from the other video about having a short attention span, and not only did watching that video completely along with doing little things to help lengthen my attention span have helped, but I am so glad that I stayed to watch this entire video and read the comments as well. It isn't just helping me focus on one task at a time, but I feel better absorbing new information and when I focus on one thing rather than juggling so many different things and activities in my mind. Thank you for your help, Amy, both your other video and this video have already helped so much, and I feel excited to incorporate these new habits that I have learned into all of the different parts of my life- from increasing my attention span to using my time wisely. I feel like it's so funny how things we have known our entire lives have never really sunk in, and despite all of the external advice, that ability and struggle to use it internally- and that constant issue with falling into temptation and peer pressure have always taken over the controls. However, some things we watch, even just a single video, or moment in one's life- or even just an experience can somehow turn all that around and cancel out those struggles and just make everything click. For me, so far, that was the two videos of yours I just watched. Thank you, this really helped me a lot! Especially because the video was on the longer side, lol.
did anybody else noticed the bts hoddie , sorry cant help it , i am an army!!!!! this is my first time watching your video and it definitely helped me a lot!!! thank u so much ! i really loved the decision tree and "crossroads" part , its very unique !!! thanks a lot , your video made me feel motivated and inspired !
Amy you are so right about this. I realised this small mistake that was pulling me back right now and somehow unconciously I used to follow these techniques during my board exams (High school final year exams) But I was lost about what is that I am missing while preparing for this competitive exam that I am preparing for right now. Thanks a lot for this uniqerwiue and more honest video than I have seen.😄 I am gonna comeback to this comment once I clear this exam and will let you know by editing this very comment. 🤗
honestly if you school doesnt start too early I'd recommend getting up earlier and leaving liek an hour before school for revision and homework, since at the end of the day you might already be tired and might not work as efficiently as in the morning. I would also recommend finding hobbies and other things you genuinely want to learn for the rest of your free time cuz it will put you ahead in that skill if you want to do it for a job, and if you don't it's nice to have something for you that isn't just scrolling
Thank you, Amy, for being such an incredible source of motivation and inspiration. Your impact on my study journey will forever be cherished, and I am incredibly grateful to have you by my side as I continue to strive for success. You have changed my view of point thank you so much.
I CHOOSE TO PUT MYSELF FIRST 🔥 (I'm actually starting to not care about what others think 🫢🫢) Thank you 🫶🫶 P.S. I love the little harry potter and taylor shirt 💜🩷
Thank u Amy it's know 2024 and ever since I found u when I was in my binge watching era of all these college decision reaction videos I stumbled across some of ur videos and I don't regret watching ur videos it's like every videos gets more relatable I love how simple this is because I personally have watched some other videos which seem like such a huge step to start but I am sure using ur tips I will one day be able to be as disciplined as I can get U are truly an inspiration! Thank u ❤
Wow I’m so happy the universe has brought you to my channel! I believe you already have the discipline in you - the fact that you’re watching my videos shows your potential ❤️
7:11 it is so true, like i came home yesterday after school and does stuff, and it became night, i havent done my 7 assignments and doing it in midnight makes it harder, and because of it, i became late and wasnt able to go to school (our schedule to go to school is 5:20am in the morning and the finishing school hours is 1pm, and i did my assignment at 7pm)
Thank you so much for this video. I was doing everything you said not to do and didn’t see the fault until now. I’m committing myself to my studies from here on out. Thank you from Australia!
Little comment, so I reduce that transition time I just do a right decision : After finishing the video, I told myself "Well I check my phones messages and then I'll work", and then I said "no, we reduce the transition time and do things that benefit me" Thank you for your video ! Much love
Love how you give detailed and practical tips instead of just citing a novel concept or solutionfor us to try. The way you explain and the analogies you have used are truly helpful. Thanks for this♥️
Seriously, thank you so much for making this video. It's holiday in my country and I have no ideas what I should be doing by now when actually I have dreams that I haven't reach yet. Your videos make me realized what I have actually be doing by now, thank you so much Amy ❤❤
My new session would be starting by the end of this month. Students around me used to tell me that I can't constantly be in the first place and I think last year I believed it true which is why my grades fell slightly. I was very disappointed. But now I think I know what to do. Thank you so much for this video❤ It really helped a lot.
It's my last year in ks3 and i'm soon starting ks4. I'm not the greatest student, I do excel in certain things like humanity subjects, English, Math; but I do struggle with subjects like chemistry and physics, and second language subjects. I have been facing a lot of issues with self-worth and my future. This video is a boost for me, it brings me motivation. I've always tried to fit in, but now I realize, I'll get nowhere by following others. I've always been a bit jealous of those who have such extremely good grades, excelling at everything; while I struggle to be better at my weaknesses. Thank you so much!
7:10 I think i understand what you're trying to say with the whole inertia thing, but what should I do if after school I need to take a 45 minutes long bus ride ? Because I can't work in that period of time, and i stay mostly still, it feels like a break and so when I get home, I often feel tired and don't want to work anymore :( plus there are so many distractions at home so the motivation is all gone... (I live pretty far away from my school and my bus has a lot of stops...)
Ok, I know there's a bunch of videos like this and people are gonna read the comments before watching these kinds of vids but the comments are always the same, "Omg this was so helpful". But whosoever shall read this, believe me when I say this, THIS VIDEO IS JUST PURE TREASURE! IF YOU WATCH THIS, TRUST ME YOU'LL BECOME SO SELF-CONSCIOUS, YOU BECOME YOUR OWN BETTER RULER OR SMTH. I'm not kidding at all. Watching this vid is like finding a diamond in a treasure hunt for rocks. Weird analogy but stilll... Idk how I can explain how good and useful this vid is. Just watch it to see it. Thanks Amy!
Wow! I cannot believe that I've been doing all these things indirectly, which you mentioned in this video since 7th grade and I can proudly say that after applying these tips, I have always got an A in all my tests. Btw I love that golf ball analogy so much ^^
Hi! I just wanted to say that out of all the "how to become a better student" videos yours actually helped me a lot and you really made me try harder and made me believe that I can be better and don't need to be naturally gifted to be good at something. Therefore I really want to thank you for helping me in so many aspects (not only studying) and I would really appreciate it if you could help me. So recently..... I have fallen behind in school a lot and I would be very happy if you could make a video on how to make up for it and still be able to do current work and follow new curriculum. I just want to thank you one more time and I hope you see this comment.☺
Hi, that's awesome! I think that for your situation, you need to reallocate your time since you have more work than usual - pick what to cut out so you have more time to do catch-up work!
Thank you so much Amy for making this video. This is seriously the best studying video I have ever seen. The golf ball theory is something I would remember as soon as I do something unproductive ❤️
I am not in college anymore but these tips can be applied throughout your life. It's essential for you to know exactly what you want from life to motivate yourself to do what matters every moment to avoid the feeling of wasting your life away. It is especially harder to do this post-college in the age of AI where mastery of anything won't really give you an edge over others in a long enough timeline, and money and freedom won't give you satisfaction you chase. Life becomes a sandbox where you have to define what matters to you based on who your deepest inner self is, and it takes a lot of effort and experience to get to the bottom of who you are to find these answers.
Hi Amy! Big fan here, lol. I'm now a freshman and my school starts in a week, could you make a video on some tips on how I can start the year strong and what I'll actually need? There are several videos on youtube but I really don't know which ones are gonna be actually helpful 😭
Thanks Amy❤ I'm a student of 8th standard in India and I've been following your videos and study tips from earlier this semester and this has helped me so much. My exams are about to start from Tuesday and watching this was honestly so inspiring and motivating. Actually, you're my inspiration from now and I've stopped watching all those demotivating memes and all kinds of scrolling and binge watching from about 20 days ago and if you ask me, it's really not that hard to quit all these things. Yes it was hard in the first 2 weeks but since I controlled my temptation for a few days, now I don't even get tempted to scroll.
i’m a sophomore in hs right now my grades haven’t been good (3.7 gpa so not terrible ig but it could better) bc my depression and adhd got really bad but now that i’m getting treatment and recovering i really want to improve my academics 🙏🏽 a lot of my friends have told me that i can’t do it or that it’s unfixable but i might as well give my best shot
Not a student anymore but I watched out of curiosity and you've described what I was doing as a top student without knowing it. None of this felt like working hard.
Thank u Amy a lot!! U are the only one youtuber who literally changed my life by following ur steps and guess what!? I was in 19th rank in my class but when I approached this video I camed 2nd in my class.🎉🎉❤😊
If you could only watch one study video, *THIS* is the one I would urge you to internalize. Comment "I choose to put myself first" if you're serious about becoming an ACADEMIC WEAPON 🔥
What is an academic weapon?

"It's all about your choices and being okay with being different from everyone else. It's being okay with standing out and not caring that you're standing out."
I needed that. I Think I went through all these long months of burnt-out just because of that.
Thank you! I've always admired you. I hope that just as you say I'll make the right choices for myself will help me finally recover and bounce back the persistent me I was once back in high school and a year ago. You're such a blessing! You deserve the best!
i got you gurl, being different from everyone else is so lonely, but thats just how it is.. its like wanting to be a no 1 is like being ontop of the peak mountain alone by yourself, while everyone else is enjoying and wasting their time at the bottom of the mountain
im not a top student myself but im always alone by myself doing different things from my classmates, (not good because i always sketching or read novels, but im about to change that with Amys tip by reviewing my notes all that hihi) but theres this one top student in my class who seems she have a lot of friends because of her straight As results.. but when its like we have break time in class, i can see shes always alone by herself while her other friends were talking, joking around all that
and thats just what i notice in succesful people, they always are alone by themself because they chose people with great qualities, and if they dont find then they will just fill the lonely time by doing things that have high qualities like studying and reviewing! :)))
I was and still an academic achiever who overworks myself just to finish homework and sleep at 3am, i got burnt out and stressed to the point i lost the energy or excitement i had when i went to school. I thought it was over for me but after this i got motivated to continue pushing forward. Thanks for making this!

Things that stuck in to my brain:
1. “It is not our abilities that show what we truly are, it is our choices”
2. Believe that you can become an academic weapon
3. To live an extraordinary life someday, you need to live an extraordinary life today
4. The earlier you start the farther you would go

6. Be okay with standing out, because it is not them that will become an academic weapon it is you!

[04:41] The 1st Crossroads: Reviewing Graded Work [Checkmark]
- Reviewing your graded work immediately after receiving it is a critical crossroads.
- Analyzing mistakes and reviewing correct answers reinforces knowledge through spaced repetition.
- This strategy helps you learn more effectively and study less in the long run.
[06:18] The 3rd Crossroads: After-Event Transitions at Home [ Break]
- The most challenging crossroads are transition times at home, like after school or dinner.
- Students who are successful leverage these moments to stay productive.
- The key is to avoid distractions like grabbing a snack or using your phone.
[08:37] Prioritizing Focus Over Popular Study Tips [Star Strategist]
- Mastering the 3 critical crossroads is more important than popular study tips like active recall or reading before class.

- The path to becoming a star student requires consistent effort and overcoming challenges.
- Believing in your potential and surrounding yourself with positive influences are key.

That's amazing to hear! Thank you!
1) when we get work back - do the review then an there so it save study time later and your understanding of the subject is stronger
2) down time - its ok to relax once in a while but giving yourself something simple yet productive (reading, looking over notes etc.) can maximize the time you are given
3) time after main events especially after school - this time is unstructured so it can be very easy to fall into spendlgn time unproductively

Thanks for your video, I get a bit calmer now, I will try to do these and thanks a lot.

one thing that helped me is to track my progress, not just in academics but also in my personal life. I am a different person to who I was before, and seeing my growth just motivates me more. Especially because the video was on the longer side, lol.

honestly if you school doesnt start too early I'd recommend getting up earlier and leaving liek an hour before school for revision and homework, since at the end of the day you might already be tired and might not work as efficiently as in the morning. Wow I’m so happy the universe has brought you to my channel! I believe you already have the discipline in you - the fact that you’re watching my videos shows your potential ❤️
7:11 it is so true, like i came home yesterday after school and does stuff, and it became night, i havent done my 7 assignments and doing it in midnight makes it harder, and because of it, i became late and wasnt able to go to school (our schedule to go to school is 5:20am in the morning and the finishing school hours is 1pm, and i did my assignment at 7pm)
watched this vid just now , I'm now very determined to work hard and achieve my goal!
Thank you so so much amy !
Thank you so much for this video. I was doing everything you said not to do and didn’t see the fault until now. I’m committing myself to my studies from here on out. Thank you from Australia!
Little comment, so I reduce that transition time
I just do a right decision : After finishing the video, I told myself "Well I check my phones messages and then I'll work", and then I said "no, we reduce the transition time and do things that benefit me"
Thank you for your video !
Much love
Love how you give detailed and practical tips instead of just citing a novel concept or solutionfor us to try. The way you explain and the analogies you have used are truly helpful. Thanks for this♥️
honestly i was staring at your eye liner for so long, you did a good job
Seriously, thank you so much for making this video. It's holiday in my country and I have no ideas what I should be doing by now when actually I have dreams that I haven't reach yet. Your videos make me realized what I have actually be doing by now, thank you so much Amy ❤❤
(00:12) A teacher with a cane are the most scary and helpful ones 😅😂
It's a wand hehe
My new session would be starting by the end of this month. Students around me used to tell me that I can't constantly be in the first place and I think last year I believed it true which is why my grades fell slightly.
I was very disappointed.
But now I think I know what to do.
Thank you so much for this video❤
It really helped a lot.
Thanks Amy!
I choose to put myself first!💪
You changed my life and that's crazy ❤
Thank you @@wamyy5 ❤
Thank you so much Amy for making this video. This is seriously the best studying video I have ever seen. The golf ball theory is something I would remember as soon as I do something unproductive
❤️
Fantastic!! Glad you like it - thank you so much for your kind words!
@@wamyy5 ❤️❤️ You deserve it !!!!
This is gold! Thank you so much for the value you share.
Wow you’re so amazing!! I’m so proud of you for making that choice that will literally catapult you to greater heights ✨
i’m a sophomore in hs right now my grades haven’t been good (3.7 gpa so not terrible ig but it could better) bc my depression and adhd got really bad but now that i’m getting treatment and recovering i really want to improve my academics 🙏🏽 a lot of my friends have told me that i can’t do it or that it’s unfixable but i might as well give my best shot
This is gonna help me a lot when i finally get to 9th grade this Thursday. Thank you Amy ❤
Guess What! I have my exam on 7 march and getting this video literally made my day🤌😉........
Thank you so much Amy❤!!
Wow best of luck!! ✨
@@wamyy5 Thank you so much Amy!!❤
How'd it go??
@@MikimaLOVEart Pretty nice..✨
Not a student anymore but I watched out of curiosity and you've described what I was doing as a top student without knowing it. None of this felt like working hard.
THANK YOU SO MUCH AMY💗 I was waiting for this. My exams are coming soon, I know i'll ace it.🔥🖤
Yes you can do it!!
Girl thankyou! you are such an inspiration!
Thank u Amy a lot!! U are the only one youtuber who literally changed my life by following ur steps and guess what!?
