I think a lot of folks forget that this film is a 2000s comic book movie - something of a genre all on its on, meant to be enjoyed by chilling with friends and just having fun celebrating the cool parts and riffing on the rest of it. You should definitely check out Blackheart in the comics which looks like demonic predator. Plus what's more metal than a flaming skull on a hell cycle, a cosmic flaming skull on a space hell cycle. That's actually a version of him in the comics

I remember hearing once something from the comics that I find really cool if it's accurate. Apparently there was a point where Ghost Rider attempts the penance stare on The Punisher but it doesn't work because for all of the lives he has taken he doesn't feel any remorse and doesn't see his killing of criminals to be acts of evil. I don't really know much of anything about the characters of Ghost Rider and The Punisher respectively, but I fee like that actually kind of makes sense in a way provided my basic level of understanding and familiarity with the characters in question is adequate enough. If I'm wrong then I openly welcome being corrected.
definately one of the better movies from the Dark Age of Marvel films before the MCU, standing alongside Blade and Sam Rami's Spiderman, but definately still at the time when the movies were crapshows like Daredevil, Elektra, and whatever else exists from this time.

Also, I think Sam Elliott is the most western actor I've seen still working, even on The Ranch I could believe his backstory was he won the ranch at the saloon and had to shoot the angry guy who lost it in a QuickDraw.

This was one of the weirdest and my favourite Nicholas Cage/2000s Marvel movies in my youth time, i loved it!
