  • In this episode, I'll show you a quick and easy way to restore your modern cars headlights from looking dull to a clear, new new condition.
Simply get some 400 grit sandpaper, using water start sanding the headlights up and down, left to right, then after a while start sanding with 1000 grit with water, same direction, this will get rid of most of the scratches. Using a cutting compound and a polishing pad, polish the headlights, be careful not to polish for too long in the same spot. Apply some wax over the headlights to keep them fairly protected. I could have applied some clear paint directly after sanding this would have been ideal but wanted a quick fix for now.
Hope you enjoy the video and that you benefit from watching it.

I used a Mothers NuLens headlight kit. Around $60 from supercrap. Its a good kit if you don't have a polisher like me - its got adaptors to use with your drill. Good result with it.

Bugger mate, only took about 15 mins in total and its helpful if you have a polishing machine, or a polishing pad with a drill bit will do the trick too! cheers mate

Hahahah funny bloke you are, cheers mate would be happy to do them if you come over here hahaha I'm going to experiment with sanding back another set and applying clear coat directly to them while they are hazy they should come up mint as well. Just need to get the heater going in the shed! thanks again for your support mate

@BADQ glad you got the joke, same back at ya 😂😂 ok cool, just be careful of clear coats, more so solvent based ones, as they will eat into the clear lense, I've tried it years ago, I do this for customers on a regular basis, on your last polish, use a 2 pack glaze cream 👍 will remove the smokey/fog look and protect it, looking forward to your next video 📹 🦘🦘🇦🇺🇦🇺🍻🍻🏔🌨
