4:00 I agree, the business of medicine is really prominent and much of it goes unnoticed because medicine is generally glorified as a field. I realized this while volunteering in the inpatient SICU and it kinda strayed me from becoming a physician. I am glad I got to experience that and I wish more students were aware of this, as many find out when it is too late. Viewing medicine through the perspective of a business/system really helps in seeing if a position in healthcare is for you. Much love. Thanks Harman!

Appreciate all the honesty. Intern year can be very scary, long hours, tons of pressure, and constant learning. You really have to love humanity to thrive in medicine, and remain sane & happy 💙

curious, not judging, i just found out that beards harbor a lot of bad bacteria than a dog's fur. Beards look good but are really dirty. Should doctors have a beard cover to cover their beard like restaurant workers do when at the hospital? future video? curious. lab data is really conclusive that clean shaven is much more hygienic. not necessarily aesthetically more pleasing though.
Why would a beard have more bacteria than the hair on your head? And why would covering your beard be necessary unless you’re doing surgery, where they already wear a mask?
