Take heed current BTCC. Current era is more like the 80s. In 91 it went simple and it worked massively. Plan for this again and keep the cars simple. Manufacturers will follow.
Both of them would've been illegal per the rules. The Skyline is a 2.6 Turbo and the Quattro was also turbo'd even if only .1 litres too big. BMW werent always dominant, pretty much every track was suited to a different car

This is the era when Touring Car racing was at its ultimate best and had much better cars on the racetracks. Bring back those days.
