Yeah if I know I’m going to a steakhouse and I’m going to be having like a 2000 cal meal. I will try to eat like a bird earlier in the day and possibly the day before.
So I’m assuming you’re wanting to lose fat while also maintaining muscle mass. In this case, a calorie deficit is necessary but you want to make sure you’re getting at least .8g per pound of body weight (1.6g per Kg). As far as fasting goes, from what I’ve seen in terms of losing body fat, it’s the same as a caloric deficit it’s moreso a matter of how quickly you need to lose that body fat. Long term, calorie deficit would be your friend. I think a lot of the “lipolyis” stuff is more of an overhyped marketing play for people pushing an agenda or product. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its use cases but it’s definitely not necessary. It’s about creating the deficit over time while prioritizing adequate protein intake
Slamming chicken breast, protein powder, fat free fairlife, and cold brew coffee the day before going out is an elite life modality

In terms of losing fat, do you think its just about a calorie deficit or should you also have your body in lipolysis mode (fasting)?
