Kind sir, I have to say that yours is among the most entertaining, educational and rewarding experiences to be found on you tube. My father of German descent, fought in ww2 for the United States Army in the Big Red One so I have a personal interest in the history of that war. What you provide with unbridled enthusiasm and an engaging narrative is so much more fulfilling than the sterile or propaganda driven historical recitations that can be so readily found in traditional media presentations. Your audience has the feeling of inclusion as each adventure unfolds, with the gift of literally sharing the suspense and excitement of every step. Well done, I say and I look forward to each new "Holy Madonna" moment yet to come. Keep up the good work-you are a treasure yourself for your viewing audience!
Great comment and appreciate Your kind Words. Greetings from us Chuck and have a great summer.
I think the rocket should go to the museum to be displayed.
"I went fishing this weekend"
"What did you got ?"
"Aw, just an auxiliary engine from a WWII rocket"
"Aw... ok, i guess"
Awesome mate :) keep up the great videos !
that's a 1 in a million chance to go fishing I'm a pond and find a rocket engine.
more like 1 in a trillion chance! location is key obviously, but Canada has billions of ponds you will never pull a rocket engine out of. We have mines instead lol
I am waiting for him to pull up an old mine from the ww2 era! lol, he he he "GA~BOOOOM"!.
Rocket is a booster used to assist lift off of large heavy aircraft. Also has artillery application to increase the range of larger caliber artillery rounds. Typically used in very long range fire missions, for example cross-channel barrage of area targets in Britain. I think it was also attached to detachable undercarriage on rocket fighters to increase lift at takeoff
Thanks for that Steve and greetings from us.
That large piece you found looks like what us Americans would call a "RATO" pod (Rocket Assisted Take Off) - used to help propeller powered planes take off faster/better when heavily loaded.
after a bit of searching, your friend is correct. it is a booster rocket used with larger missiles, although I haven't been able to find which missiles it was used with.
ok , great to see. Thanks
The rocket is from a Panzerwerfer,15 cm Panzerwerfer 42 auf Selbstfahrlafette Sd.Kfz.4/1 (based on the Opel Maultier, or "mule", half-track) or 15 cm Panzerwerfer 42 auf Schwerer Wehrmachtsschlepper (or Panzerwerfer auf SWS).
Maybe u can find the panzerwerfer itself in the bottom of the pond
+Ocelot Not at all my friend, the PanzerWerfer's rocket had an explosive warhead. This one did not
+Nyro Cross This is auxiliary rocket booster, it was attached to the back of the Panzerwerfer giving the rockets the demanded boost.
I would love to see a picture
+Nyro Cross www.lonesentry.com/ordnance/tag/nebelwerfer part K, L ,M and O
It was so exciting to see the rocket part. The brass tips on the ammo was interesting. Wonder why they were made like that. Love it when you go magnet fishing, there are so many neat surprises.
That is a great location and loved to find and share that :)
This is by far my favourite channel on UA-cam now, love the optimism with every find! Would love to be able to go out and do this, if these finds could tell a story, what a story it would be! :) Keep up the good work!
+Mat Speedle So glad to read that Mat and realy appreciate Your Words. thanks and Greetings from me
Here in Minnesota all we'd find magnet fishing is fish hooks, maybe a boat anchor.
There you go , history is everywhere :) Thanks for watching.
A Walther Rocket Pod, that rocket kind of thing ;)
used to power a Arado Bomber on take off or other plane who could use a hand in take off.
+janusx66 hm , you could be right..Thanks for watching Sir
+janusx66 Yep a booster that would be jettisoned after take off, they also used them on early aircraft carriers be for the steam powered hook. Very cool!
Every time you find something cool I get the chills and I have a big smile on my face. 😄👍🏼
you had my heart racing as you pulled that out of the pond,,keep up the exciting adventures 😊
WOW!!!! Great finds HH. Can't get enough of these videos. Thanks HH
Thanks 👍
"Rocket Propelled Booster Something Or Other"! Perfect! What a find! 😀😃😄🤭😯
There you go and loved to share that my friend :)
thanks for posting. The 7.92 kurz cartridges are a good example of the galvanic series. Metals with incompatible voltage potentials result in the metal lower in the series corroding badly.
Hell of a good day! A rocket booster no less. That is one serious find, and a great part of history. A museum might want that booster for a display of restoration project.
+Johnn Schroeder i think i will never find one again so ill better keep it :) thanks for watching Sir.
Great job love watching your video's thank you for taking the time to share your adventures with us you doing a fantastic job keep up the good work well done

+Tigerace88 It warms my heart to read that. Thanks for that.
no problem just keep discovering the buried relics
Absolutely loving your video's, not much like this in Australia. Keep up the great effort, big hello to your family.
Thanks Greg :)
Hey WW2HH!
I enjoy your magnetfishing videos and would be happy to see more of this stuff.
Keep up your good work!
you should build a rig to mount all the magnets in a line to get more area. also it's easy to put a plastic baggy over the magnet to get little stuff off them
Great video as always! Maybe this summer you can get some waders or a wet suit and actually go into the ponds to magnet fish, or even metal detect! Looking forward to the next video! GL&HH!
How exciting for you Hunter, great discovery. Cross that off your list.
awesome video man, can wait for the next one and congrats on all of your treasures especially that booster
Now that was Amazing thanks for letting us join you on your Adventure.....

Great finds they were and glad we could share it with you :=
That Magnetic rock you find at 14:00 could be a priceless metorite... They stick to a strong magnet!
hm , would be cool. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for another fun expedition. That little rocket launching motor was very cool.
+Mary Theodosis So glad You liked it Mary. Thanks and Greetings from me.
Fantastic finds! I saw similar rocket engines attached to the Bachem Ba 349 fighter.
A solid rocket booster. That was VERY VERY COOL.
"It's quite relaxing actually, to pull your magnet through a stupid piece of water" you crack me up my friend! 🤣🤣 Great video, asks amazing rocket! Flip it upside-down and you'll have a neat vase!
He he , thanks for being here.
Man, you dod awesomely today. Congratulations on now owning a piece of rocket history. 🚀
Wow what a find! Love the magnetfishing videos!!
OMG! Only the title made me already excited! Nice work.
Thanks for sharing your exciting hobby with the world. Good job. Keep up the good work young man.
+Loren Peterson Appreciate yOu watching Loren.
I am so pleased for you for find the rocket booster. That is a great idea doubling up the magnets, i will try that the next time i go mag fishing. One thing i find very useful for heavy and awkward objects is a grappling hook on a rope (for getting things loosened up) i got mine from ASMC in Germany for about 18.00 euro. with the rope inc. Thanks for another great vid.
Amazing find plz keep the videos coming great watching here from the UK
Very cool find. Thanks for sharing & HH!
It's cool how excited you get over bullets it shows me you have passion in your line of work, great stuff man🤗😎

Mate you put some effort in here you really do. Brilliant viewing, keep it up and happy Christmas...
Just fantastic find! Really nice video, keep it up!
Greetings, Martin
how do you know where to go for magnet fishing? A friend of mine and i bought a 110kg magnet each and are looking to have a good time but we also want to find something better than old bikes and chairs like we pulled out today..
Very nice find!! Congrats :)
another surprise, thanks for the video, keep up the good work :)
Love this guy these videos are brilliant and I am learning too, thank you
That is appreciated and greetings from us.
Just found your channel..love it cant stop watching
+robwalsh916 Happy to read that Sir. thanks.
Once again Thank You for taking us along
Bless you when you sneezed
May I suggest a helmet adapter for you go pro to allow two hands
Also perhaps some fishing waders you can get right in there neoprene ones will keep you somewhat warm and you could use em year round
I look forward to you bringing us along to where some of us may never be able to go
But if I did make it there would you consider taking me along 🤔
You just picked up another fan. I've subbed and have been enjoying all your videos!
+Dawn S Warms my hart to see that and thanks.
Super cool man love your videos!!!
Great finds..looking forward to more magnet fishing..
+Justin Bagley more of that stuff coming up in thenear future. thanks for watching
love your videos, really lovign the magnetfishing ones :)
Great find with the rocket engine..
Love your videos man keep up the good work
Will do my best Sheriff ! Thanks
Greetings from Texas. bless your heart, you need a tripod or a monopod that you can stick in the ground for your camera or like another person said a head mount for your gopro. oh! can you bring the camera up so we can see your area, landscape looking down all the time is kinda boring. we would like to see the country side also. great videos keep up the good work.
+John Sullivan thanks John
+C “Texcritter” Chase I imagine he does this on purpose. If he did, other relic hunters might recognize the area and start looking themselves. Worse yet, amateurs tend to be more destructive and can leave an otherwise pleasant looking public area very unsightly with ankle snapping holes in the ground to step in. I would do the same. Thankyou WW2HistoryHunter.
+slinkyfpv your right about it all, thanks for the mind clearing on those thoughts. still needs a mono pod stake. 😉
This is just a total guess, as I haven't seen all his videos... But, my guess is, he doesn't show the landscape, because he doesn't want to risk giving away his location...
+breezyjr Thats smart
awesome videos mate enjoy the channel loads . thanks from Scotland
+alan mcculloch Greetings to Scotland
That's so awesome! Great find!
amazing find!!
Binge watching your videos again, always look forward to what you find next! Obviously the States don't have things like this to find but sometimes civil war relic's are found which is very cool too!
Thanks Pete :)
Hee Mister Bigtime ,Thats a awesome find at the end ! ,a take a homer ? ,also like the stg44 ammo ,thanks for sharing !
Very nice find, most certainly some sort of booster, the shape of the thrust nozzle gives that away. I would imagine it was filled with solid propellant, thus no need for a fancy engine. Just light it and hope for the best, a mini version of a space shuttle booster. great for adding thrust, only disadvantage is you cannot throttle them or turn them off once lit.
+100SteveB i agree. Well spotted Sir and thanks.
wOw another great history lesson. It is starting to rain again here in Texas and it looks like our lake may be up another three weeks before we can get to our two mile long beach to do some serious metal detecting. Thanks for your history adventure and lesson again! Take care! Chevy...
+chevywheels56 Rain is sometimes great and sometimes just so annyoing :) Best of Luck Chevy and Greetings from me.
My Pin Pointer came in this afternoon... We have too much lightning here for me at this time in my life...I don't want to push my common sense and get out in it. Best regards to you and wish your kids my best from Texas USA... Chevy
I really enjoyed this video keep up the good work!
Greetings
Really am enjoying yr videos and am starting to metal detect on my apartments property. I found some relics cir 1920s to 1940 era.
+Kristine Hughes cool to know. History is everywhere You know. So glad to read that. Thanks.
The STG rounds are awesome. Have you thought about getting a wet suit, mask and snorkel? You said the water isn't very deep and yes it would be cold but it's totally doable.
Great finds again! I should take out my magnet again...
Truly amazing :) Great stuff
Wow! What a great day! Thanks for sharing. It would be cool if there was a ammo box full of STG rounds in that pond.
were did you get those magnets you should make a video on the magnet
was there heavy fighting in that area? the flakes could be shrapnel from artillery and what not..
I definately enjoyed this one! Awesome finds.
love your videos. keep making more! 😀
Will do.. Thanks
There you go now you get some good stuff.
The germans used something similar to that on meserschmit 262's called JATO's to help them climb faster on takeoff. Or atleast there was blue prints and test beds for them. That sure would be interesting if it was somehow a part of that, somehow.
"hope its nothing dangerous inside..." haha very nice. Cool videos :)
+Schullitz i always hope for that. thanks.
Wrap the magnet with a plastic bag, then you can easily clean the small iron filings off.
wow to find a part of a rocket that isnt in a museum is rare one unique find right there
Your reaction at 7 mins was perfect
Wow what a find congratulations!
I’ve never been magnet fishing before but may give it a try one day around some boat docks or bridges. Nice find on the clip and cartridges. I wonder if you could take a piece of thick aluminum about an inch and a half wide and long enough to attach three magnets on it to give a better coverage? I don’t know if it would give it a better chance of getting hung up on something. You’ve done this more than me so you would know better. It’s remarkable what your finding in the pond. It must be like a booster rocket like you see on the rockets they launch into space. It’s a nice find.
MF is fun so try it my friend :)You never know what will stick to the magnets :) Thanks Anthony.
Hi love the videos don't stop
Make my days when I watch
Where did you get the new magnet from?
just saw your second vid fishing for the rocket boosters did u keep everything as some of the bits u pulled was the boosters housing.the first stage of the multi stage missile.if u did u would have close to a complete stage
+shaun laverick oki , i look into the pieces. Thanks Shaun.
Finding the clip with the cartridges and then finding more cartridges is crazy. How did they get there? More 20 mm flak cartridges. Then the big find ,a booster rocket. I did a few searches but haven’t turn up anything on it. You should strap it to the back of your car lol. I hope you carry a thermos with you that has hot coffee, tea or hot chocolate. All nice finds this time. The new magnets paid off.
i really couldnt tell but loved to be there and find that :)
Dude... When you found that ammo clip, under the clip was something gold looking pieces.
+When you read my long name, I stole your sandwich saw that. Thanks
very nice find
5:44 that's an Angels halo. I dropped that in 1947 on a goodwill mission;-)
you are an awsome historian I love your videos thanks
+Brandon Woodring Thank You Brandon
11:47 I think that's a ground staple where they stapled cords and ropes to the ground so they didn't move around. not entirely sure but that's what it looks like
thank you for taking time to reply.
