"There is no movie in Ba Sing Se."
Firebenders needed flames or fire actually burning near them. Uncle Iroh in that story was the only one who learned how to generate firebending which was a way to make him standout but also a little ridiculous. Especially when apparently it took a group of guys to do a dance and lazily send one giant rock slowly at the bad guys.
The bending and action is significantly better here.
If they did well with the One Piece Live action, I have high hopes for this series.

They absolutely get points for pronouncing Aang's name correctly. XD
The neat thing is that Netflix announced and filmed more Fire Nation scenes so that we could see more of Ozai. The original series only focused on Azula's appearance after the end of Book 1 with Zhao's defeat. Ozai didn't really appear much until Book 3. Netflix wanted to showcase more of him and Azula at the start of this series to showcase them more as the villains.
4:30 I actually think the decision to keep Zuko's eyebrow (It's gone in the cartoon) was a good decision. Maybe during the Agni Kai with Ozai, he put up more of a fight? You can see it's Zuko parting that fire blast. In the cartoon, it was shown offscreen on Iroh and Azula's reaction to Zuko refusing to fight and getting burned. I'm a cosplayer who loves Zuko and I would love to do the Netflix version (covering up my eyebrow and applying scar makeup takes a long time.) Thank you Netflix for partially making it easier for me. XD
Omashu and Bumi was awesome! The bending looks so much better and amazing.
Remember in the original Gyatso had no burns on his skeleton or robes, so the soilders didn’t score a kill against him.

And idk if it was ever confirmed but there was a fan theory for the longest time he sucked out all of the air in the room to kill them all.

This whole trailer won me over. I saw like a ton of references from the cartoon to this amazing live action adaptation, in my opinion this is already one of the best things that I had seen than the 2010 movie. Plus When I saw June, jet and bumi in this I had felt my childhood was reborn, they legit COOKED this series.

I really hope this series makes it to season 2 because I really wanna see Aangs reaction when he enters the avatar state and scolds the sand benders while katara calms him down and at the same time they better use the avatar state score because that was such a beautiful theme for that moment 😭

Looks like "the Northern Air Temple" and Omashu episodes are blend into one. You can see Aang and Theo gliding over the slides of Omashu.
Could also be Aang and Kid Bumi in a flash back though.

One of the moments I hope makes it in to the first season/volume is Aang's interaction with Koh the face stealer during his time in the spirit realm.
It might be time to start calling him Daniel "Dayum" Kim if he keeps that physique for other productions.

I gotta admit this trailer definitely won me over to see boomi and general Zhao and Jun let alone the music straight from the series. I can’t wait for more Ozai. The biggest problem I had with the original series was that Ozai was never given enough screen time to build him up as a true main antagonist. Azula was more of a threat than her own father.

Actually, Dallas Liu did not play young Shang Chi. He only had a small role as Katie’s (Awkwafina) younger brother. If you rewatch the movie he is only in the breakfast scene.

As somebody who, was in the minority I get it, back when the Avatar movie first came out in 2010 the live action one, as somebody who hadn’t seen the series in it’s entirety and actually liked it back then, again that’s not the case now before people in the comments section start trying to rip me apart like ravenous wolves at least verbally, as having seen the show for the first time in it’s entirety back in 2020 during the pandemic when it hit Netflix, there were some little things I honestly didn’t notice at first watching it on my own, that I did notice in your guys reaction.
Particularly, Zuko in the blue devil mask???? Is that what it’s called, again pardon me if that’s not what it’s called, I’m a very casual fan here that really enjoyed the series when he watched it back in 2020 for the first time, I’m sure some bigger/more hardcore Avatar:TLA fans can let me know what, his mask was called if they even said as it’s been years since I’ve seen it, but I may start watching them again on Netflix honestly in preparation for the live action series so, that way I can see what differences they make in the live action adaptation to make it work in live action properly.
As I’m sure even the most hardcore of Avatar:TLA fans have to admit that, they may have to make at least some small adjustments here and there to make it work in live action as things that work in animation may not necessarily work to translate the story from animation to live action, would I like them to pull that off and translate it frame for frame from the cartoon into live action?
Hell yeah I would, but oftentimes that’s just not the reality when it comes to adapting something.
Funny to mention the cabbage man because his original voice actor has been cast to play the actual character. So cool!

This is giving me hope. It seems a bit different from the animated series, but that might actually work in favor of the live action series. The bending seems to be more intense than the live action movie at least.

I'm not really all that worried to be honest. From what I heard, they are only doing Book 1. Book 1 was 20 episodes long, with each episode being about 22-24 minutes. That comes out to around 8 hours of show. If they do eight 45 min to 1-hour episodes of the live action, it comes out to about the same amount of time.
