I would add two more things; belief and practice. Most of us struggle with public speaking because we don't have a passion for the subject. People see the passion in your face, they hear it in the timber of your voice. The words are accent points that will come. Public speaking is a skill and skills develops from repetition.
Doesn’t matter what you do. Chances are you need to write. Writing isn’t the easiest thing without a plan. Weak writings confuse and lose people. However, Don’s teachings really make ink dance on the paper, and writing becomes a joy. Thanks, Don!
I love how to me, this is a great addition to a previous video where you talked about capturing he audience by starting with an issue. This really is simple and to me what I have seen help the most is practicing the speech, as if you were giving it, over and over. If you want to go a step further practice with distractions going on like music or a podcast.
As I listened to Don lay out the framework for public speaking, I was thinking about all the different way of applying this formula in sales. How much easier would it be if you armed your salespeople with this scripts that follow this formula? In writing website content, blogposts, social media posts, following this formula positions you as the "guide", the thought leader and problem solver. Needless to say, I am excited about implementing this framework for my business!
Thanks Don! Always helpful tips... side note. Loving the iced drink in the background. Gives me an indication of which videos you probably filmed the same day! Props to batching... and having wardrobe changes! Keep em comming my friend.

Great gems: Intent, obstacle, plan, close with the result/climatic scene.

That is brilliant, thank you very much for sharing it. I've practiced that right away after watching the video and it worked pretty well.

I don't recall this particular bit being in the book. The book is fantastic, a must-read for business leaders.
It's not. But, the book is amazing.
