every time i listened to glimpse of us i felt sad because it felt like an incomplete story, but now that i heard this mashup with la la land, i feel like the song is now complete and it made me very emotional and happy. please make a longer version of the song

It didn’t take me until just now to really consider how the lyrics of Glimpe of Us could really fit the situation that Mia and Sebastian ended up in once the audition ended.
Joji definitely took heavy inspiration from La La Land for that one song. I'm not complaining. It's beautiful.

Never cried over a song let alone a video, the part where Mia and Sebastian’s part played after the glimpse of us broke me whole
Damn I literally ugly cried hearing this. The last thing my ex and I sent each other was a screencap of that final frame of La La Land with Emma Stone smiling and us both saying we will always love each other. La La Land was our favourite movie. When Glimpse of Us came out it was right after I had ended a short term relationship with another girl because things just didn't feel right or the same as they did with my ex, so hearing that song was like a fucking sledgehammer to my chest.
But this video was a whole god damn freight train. Fantastic editing for this mash up. I've not felt emotions so strongly since the break up itself a year and a half ago.

This is such a magical mix. I this a pure form of artistry.
i walked into this movie expecting a really romantic build up of two glorious and talented people to come together and bring their talent to other people together. I know why they split up and went their separate ways, i know, i really do. But this cannot help but hurt me every damn time, the ending of “what could’ve been” ached my heart, along with their theme. I found the theme on accident and found it so romantic and loving, but now that i watched where it was from aches me even more. The “what could’ve been” thing just will not ever leave my head and i know it. It touched me too much, way too much than it should’ve.
But, as i said, i know why they had to split up. When it comes to big dreams and wrong times, you have to make big and horrible sacrifices.
