That was an insane bread challenge. You waiving the white flag was the healthy choice, especially after leaving out some of those healthy vegetables on the plate :). That cheese is called "Queijo Coalho" here in Brazil. Usually grilled on coal. About that Brazilian meat pies, I've never saw that, don't even know what they're made off... Probably a creation of the chef, but for sure it's not a Brazilian traditional dish lol!

I do miss the casual cheat days though. Miss you're favourite donut descriptions, food choices and taking the time to enjoy them. While you do give a running commentary and help the restaurant, the rush to eat within a time frame takes away from the savouring.

I’m Chilean also 😆 but I think they used puff pastry for those empanadas, not how we make them with regular flower dough and al ornó/baked. The queso blanco is actually goat cheese if I’m not mistaking
You should do a Chilean food challenge. Empanadas de pino (meat), sopaipillas secas y pasa, completo, pastel de choclo, barrosluco y porotos a la mazamorra y de tomar, un mote 😂 yum
I feel like empanadas are one of those foods where different cultures use different dough (it's like the middle-eastern falafel thing, or even pita bread). I've had Colombian and Argentinian empanadas, and they have different textures to them.
I knew when you started on that final pile of empanadas that you wouldn’t make it. No shame in that. Such a huge amount of bread! Way to give it your all.
I love that you take extra time to savor the food instead of shoving it all in... And you even describe each thing you're eating. You go girl!
