Holy shit! I just discovered KEXP tonight while looling for a "All them witches" live video and I'm blown by the amazing quality of the mix and the different bands! I feel like I just found a mew gold mine!

Adia sings so softly, it's almost as though you have to strain to hear her over the other musicians, but wow, is it worth making the effort. Such a wonderful, unique, truly human voice.
Watch her other show! She doesn't sing softly there. Very intersting to compare those two

@@chrisanderson6611 at 14:27 she's talking about the effect of corporate money on the city and how the city is gentrifying and rejecting a lot of the history that's made it unique. the city has never ever embraced its Black roots but they were always "tolerated," now those areas are being demolished for condos and office space
