I think that's the first time in my 37 years on this earth that I saw somebody do a wheelspin for a sheep. That cracked me well up. Thank you.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
+1 lol
It was quality 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
So cool! I did a real life comparison video using Google Streetview on this map 2 years ago, but this is WAY cooler! 😂
I have endless respect for people who can put down the amount of time this takes. If we all had that level of tenacity we could accomplish _a lot._
So true!
I only recently started playing AC, and when this mod appeared I genuinely almost cried tears of joy. I've lived in Germany for almost three years but I used to ride these roads to Stanhope/St. John's Chapel almost every weekend on my motorbike as a teenager. Some very fond memories along those roads and being able to drive them again in such incredible detail is amazing
holy shit what an amazing reproduction. i fully believe it took him 3.5 years, even the small details on most houses and barns are there. lovely
Even some trees managed to grow within that time
One one my favourite roads to drive in real life! We have some wonderful driving roads in County Durham! Full marks to Brun, the efforts to get it that accurate are not to be underestimated and fully deserving of a couple of coffees at the very least!
Assetto Corsa, the mega sandbox of sim racing games , the power of community , the gift to every simple gamer who love to drive with good physics , the reason why pc gaming is the top of all , THE KING .
I wish I could have a mod with the town where I grew up, and drive virtually there and remember each corner, car and bike from the 80s. Closest thing to time travel xD
That is a lot of work he put into making this mod. I have always wondered how true to life some of these mods are so thank you Dave for spending the time to make this video. Beautiful countryside where you live Dave.
This is absolutely brilliant. Reminds me of the immersion of the GP Legends mods like the Targa Florio or old Spa. Same dedication and attention to details. Your IRL footage also shows the beautiful side of England which I hope someday I can experience first hand. Thanks Dave!
I drive this map when I feel the need for a European vacation. Like the PCH mod, we are grateful to the modders for creating such beautiful vistas for us to enjoy from our sim rigs. Thank you.
Hi Dave, wow this is an awesome mod, kudos to the modder. Great editing from you also Dave, thanks for the time that you spent bringing this to us. It is much appreciated.
Wow, that was awesome. Obviously a bit of editing for you but the mod was spot on. The LA Canyons is one of my favorite because of the accuracy of it. Thanks for the content.
this map is truly amazing and thank you for the real drive side by side. As a yank who dream of driving a Healey in and around the U.K. countryside it's the best I could do for now. yes for now
Remarkable thanks for making this! Love this mod 😀
Now building that is dedication to the sim world. Well done dude!!!!
oh wow, I remember trying this mod a couple of years back and it was pretty bare-bones back then. Looks incredible now, and I love the side-by-side with the real thing, excellent job!
I was also going to say the game version looks a little wider in the road in some places, but I think that's just a visual trick from being in a left-hand-drive car, and the go-pro having a bit of fish-eye going on.
I agree with you Dave. Amazing work from the modder. And such beautiful countryside too. County Durham I believe? I have to commend you on your video editing. I can see a lot of work went into that!
Yes mate County Durham.
And thank you 😁
That was so detailed. North East boy myself and I recognise those roads well. Nice one Dave 👍
Wow wonderful, I downloaded this mod few weeks ago and it says its a real road, i thought it's just for hype, wow, its really a real road. Thanks for this video. I love that road mod more than any other mod in AC.
i've driven this mod and liked it a great deal, but seeing it side by side to the real thing is unbelievable how much work Brun has put into this.. AMAZING! this video is great too, kudos to you both
The secret as always is the attention to fine detail, which makes the end result stand out from the rest, a lot of effort and love gone into this.
That is amazingly accurate Dave apart from the sheep you terrorised.
That guy has obviously spent loads of time putting the mod together.
A most enjoyable video.
No sheep were harmed in the making of this video 😁
This is sincerely one of the most extraordinary one person production efforts I can think of.Massive congratulations sir!
Thank you, really appreciate that 😁
Great video. We have a place behind the old co-op in Westgate... Last building on the right... Great to see the comparison. If only I could get the track to work.
I've had a few cops tell me they were a bit "cheeky" in cars but I've always shrugged it off, honestly didn't expect you to spin them 🤣
Brilliantly done Dave mate. Looks alot like my neck of woods in Dorset bar the road temps abit warmer 😉
I used to drive that area too when I was a peripatetic teacher. I must get this mod. Thank you for the info.
De yer waana see a wheels wheelspin? - Cracked me up. Awesome detail. I can imagine that it was tremendous fun to actually drive irl. Thanks for showcasing this superb mod. ❤️🤟
Thank you! AMAZING track!
"Hello Mate!" Scared me Dave; thought briefly you may be heading in a different direction! LOL.
Best content I've seen in ages, sir.
High Force has long been my favourite mod track in AC... should do a community cruise event there over xmas or on next Week 13?
PS I'm sure I told you about High Force in the comments here, like a year ago ;-)
High Force is my getaway from simracing... in simracing! Thanks for this video on it.
Some of that countryside is simply stunning, I could imagine on a sunny summer day.
One day we will be able to drive around the whole world in Assetto Corsa. Going fishing, Hiking, surfing, Assetto Corsa is the metaverse.
Actually, VRChat is the metaverse. It's been around since 17 or so, and you can already drive cars, fly planes, go to strip clubs, dance your aSH off in full body tracking. Real talk, check it out.
You might be onto something here sir
Will we be able to drive to an ex-gf's house and kill her new boyfriend? Asking for a friend.
I love quite a few mod tracks for AC, Fonteny and Feldberg are stunning as well, if they don't support mods in AC2 it'll be more than a shame.
and Battenbergring.
I love cruising on highforce with the old fords, it takes me back.
On a smaller scale I feel the same way about the Pudsey track. I've driven that area tonnes of times and yeah it's super accurate
This really is beyond amazing with ALL the accurate details... Kudos to the (re)creator of Daves english home county. Now you dont have to drive your real car to places on weekends with your family, just place somechairs in front of your monitors and there you go.👍 😉
Man I fokking love scotland! I've driven those roads and it's been amazing to drive for hours without seeing an human being.. you live in one of the best part of this world! cheers from Italy!
BUT it was very hard to drive on the wrong side of the road 🤣
The level of dedication of this mod is immesureable...
that intro !!! What a BOSS!!!
Amazing. As I was watching I started forgetting which one was which.
Little tip Dave, next time you stop too talk to a sheep shout “mint sauce” !! It scares the bejesus out of them 😂
All right M8, would you like to see a wheelspin? that sir was golden :)
They even got the weather right!
This must be so awesome when you can drive this road in real life
Blown my mind so accurate as a Stanhope lad many night Stanhope to st John's chapel has been my race track 😍
Aaaahahahaha! Hello mate, do you want to see a wheel spin! Cheers dave!
I was so relieved to see, Dave, that when driving IRL you're not using the push-pull technique of handling the steering-wheel that I'm seeing in all the British learn-to-drive videos ;) :D. (Yes, I'm the kind of person to watch this kind of stuff for fun, LOL! :D As an excuse: I'm not from UK, so I find it a bit different and, therefore, interesting :)).
Threading the wheel we call it!! It’s a ball ache when learning to drive, but when we pass our test all that goes out the window and we all become racing drivers!! 😂
I'm showing my age, here: But get a MK3 Escort XR3 mod and put some Atlantic 252 from your internet stream of choice, plus this track; and you're back in the early 90's.
Yes! Then go home and watch a bit of Strike it Lucky 😁
It did seem like the drive was alot smoother in the sim dave 😎
wow! Thx for the video!
Best sheep pick up line ever. : Want to see some wheel spin? lol
I'm watching intently hoping to see same cars at same time as you lol great job by the way
Maybe at 7:20 you do it lol
Great vid and brilliant work by the modder.
Going to throw him a fiver
I need this for Sturrow Drive in Boston. I drive it every early morning in my Ford Transit and have it nailed.
Pretty crazy. That is damn good and amazing. What a crazy time we live in.
This is great. I've driven down there many a time...I suspect it cost me a bit less in fuel like 🤣 Really nice video mate. Don't envy you with the edit though 🙃
Yep, this is one of those vids which cost me money to make 😂
Dave Cam LOL - We love ya Dave Cam… omg soooo funny👍👍👍
When can we expect the sim vs real life hotlap video to drop? 😂
And I thought I’m the weird one stopping next to cows and ask them how they’re doing… 😂
Assetto corsa in my opinion is just now reaching it's peak. The amount of high quality mods available now is immense. As the modders are gaining experience the quality is getting higher and higher. As you just showed...not all are on the main sites you have to go mod hunting...especially for the cars. I have maybe errr 800 cars maybe more? I dunno.
Very impressive work done by the modder!
Next video should be to see how fast you can do that run in AC! Without stacking it, of course!
If I had a quid for every attempt I've made to get round the whole route in one piece, at speed...
@@darknewt9959 well the crashes would make just as good a video!
@@dibley1973 Could get expensive if sticking with the 'side by side' footage.
@@darknewt9959 no, I was not thinking of that! Safer for all of just on the sim
How you gonna know where the road is in sim when it snows? No snow polls. Jokes aside, so cool!
Interesting, at 28:40 you can see the difference in steering ratios.
Yep…Been on that road.
"Ello Mate"....."Baaaahhhhhhh"
Dave where did you buy those life like trotter gloves in the video to the left ha ha? Just jokes.. Great video, amazing comparison!
Jeez, just nearly pissed myself 😂😂😂
@@davecamm ha ha that is the intention sir, love all of your content Dave, and what a brilliant choice of road car. Would love to see more of you driving the Pony in Nascar, you are mighty quick on the ovals!
I'm gonna zip down this road in the ford fiesta rally version.
Highforce is epic 👍👀
I would say in real world is not accurate once you are on driving on the wrong side of the car.
Beautiful!
Cheers!
btw, I;ve noticed a new wound on your face. Keep the pace!
Yep, I should really stop wrestling with two 40+ kg dogs 😂
I wasnt able to play AC until i found the Real Head Motion app. Stock camera feels like its hard mounted to the dash extremely bouncy
Top stuff Cammy son
Cheers Shaun. Hope you're well pal 👍
Remarkable
Fooking 'ell m8, your driving in the wrong side of the road :D
Quality mod this
Amazing mod! One day AI will make us able to convert every real place into the game! Good times! 🥳 thanks Dave! 👌
I have noticed only one difference: steering wheel on another side
Damn, all I can see is the stuff that's wrong or missing. Great video tho', thanks!
It's incredible mate, great job 👍
can anyone give google map link for this location pls. I will be travelling to UK in a few days for the first time i wish to visit this place and drive there.
I cant get this mod to work. Can anyone help me out?
Great work, but AC feels a bit too outdated to me from the physics and the creator should think about converting it into a BeamNG-version🤭 With almost 16k peak-players BeamNG might be even more popular than AC nowadays, but I might be wrong since most AC-players launch the Content Manager not the AC-exe I guess.
You're correct.
@@dividedstatesofamerica2520 Actually not really, because Content Manager is launching AC in the background and increases your AC-hour-count, so the Steam numbers are complete.
The difference in the sense of speed is quite astounding! :D While the ride in the IRL seems normal or even quite nippy (I guess that's because the road is somewhat bumpy and the Mustang's suspension is probably fairly firm), the virtual drive appears really, really slow. Almost to the point of being unnatural. And one can see it in the trees as well -- they do seem to roll past notably slower.
Yeah the sense of speed is totally off
That's because he's using a bad fov and neck fx setup. Also the framerate is choppy.
I'm on triples. My fov is just fine
That sheep probably thinks you're the GOAT.
Flexing on Sheep??? uh OK!! LOL
Why is it that the reallife version gives a better sense of speed? Is it all the tiny little bumps, or is it something about the camera blurring moving objects?
Neckfx, fov and framerate.
Dave is not using Pure. Shame shame Dave
Wtf is pure? 😂
@@davecamm oh deary me. You talk about mods and don't know what Pure is... even GM knows what it is! lol. It's the next gen of SOL. If you know what that is. lol.
I'll get right on it 😁
Assetto Corsa footage lagging.. not smooth not 60fps constant..
I had to manipulate the speed of the clips where I was going a little quicker in the sim just so it would match up 👍
🐑👍
Nice try, but the real steering wheel is on the wrong side..
I´m from Germany and I have to say you are driving on the wrong side of the road 😂 Just joking amazing reproduction, really...
The sheep is now a Dave fan.
