Scenic Virtual Bike Ride | Lake Tahoe - Pope-Baldwin Trail | 4K 60 FPS | Relax/Study/Sleep

Relax and take a virtual bike ride with us! For this amazing scenic bike ride we traveled to South Lake Tahoe in California to ride the Pope-Baldwin Bike Trail. The Pope Baldwin Bike Path is a 3.6 mile (one way) paved bike path in Lake Tahoe, California that runs from the city limits of South Lake Tahoe, California to the beginning of the climb of California State Route 89 up Emerald Bay. Along the way it passes by Pope, Kiva and Baldwin Beaches. A branch of the path passes directly through Pope and Baldwin Estates in the Tallac Historic area run by the U.S. National Forest Service. It also passes over Taylor Creek, a popular area especially in the fall when the Kokanee salmon are spawning.

** IMPORTANT BIKE RIDE INFORMATION AND TIPS **
We visited South Lake Tahoe for this scenic bike ride in late May 2022. On this day May 22nd, it was unusually cold (50°F) and windy.
We parked on the shoulder of the road on State Route 89 about .25 mile past the Fireside Lodge. This is a popular, legal, spot to park.
Since the trail is not a loop, we highly recommend that you explore the beach access roads, and Talloc historical area trails that connect off of this trail. You will have the chance to ride the entire trail on your way back from the last stop which is Baldwin Beach road. In total our bike ride went just over 20 miles. There are multiple bike and e-bike rental shops right on State Route 89 (near Camp Richardson).

We both are riding 2021 Luna Cycle X1 Enduro electric mountain bikes. My bike is has Ludicrous mode upgrade to 2,0000 watts. Her Luna X1 is stock with 1,2000 watts. As you can see this two bikes have no problem with this desert terrain.

Baldwin Beach was one of my favorite spots to kayak from. I tried to get there early so I could park in the spot you stopped with your bike. After my kayak to Emerald Bay and back, I'd pull out a chair and cooler and have lunch. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
