Catch on Fire with Enthusiasm and people will come from Miles around to watch You Burn! Kudos, Ryan to You and Your whole Team! We Love watching Your journey and We learn a Ton from You Thanks So much!!!
This is really interesting. I'm just getting into CNC and you're informational videos have been a great help, despite not being profitable your passion is making a huge difference for your viewers, I really appreciate it and hope you have a fantastic and (more) profitable New Year.
Yes we will start generating revenue next year on the channel, I will get more videos coming your way as well. Is there anything more you would like to see from me?
@@cutting-it-close My biggest struggle right now is finding the cut off point between purchasing pre-finished lumber or investing in the tools I'd need to finish it myself. A $500 planer is a serious investment for a garage/hobby level shop with limited time and floor space. Tips related to how you move from making a couple items for friends to a small production shop would be great. Workflow, organization, mail-order, etc.
Okay, I will keep that in mind for sure. Moving over to a planer is just a math game, figure out the difference in what you would pay if you were to get it rough vs finished, take that difference and multiply that by the BF of lumber you are going to use in a year, and see if it is justifiable. If it saves you 1000K a year then it is a no brainer. That planer should last you a decent amount of years as well.
Thanks. I'm considering starting a UA-cam channel and this was very helpful. I have a full time day job so I really don't care about the money as much as the challenge of creating content. Bought a couple of cameras, I have a CNC and I started playing around with Davinci Restore. I plan on doing one video per month and we'll see how it goes this year. Keep up the videos and especially about content creation.
Love this video! I’ve been following your journey and have gained a lot of insight from your other videos. I just started my UA-cam journey about four months ago and this is inspiring!
Great recap of your accomplishments in 2023. I love the detailed ad revenue figures it gives us other creators something to look forward and aspire to! Have a great 2024!
Great video and insights! I’m curious if you’ve seen an increase in your sales for your woodworking and coolers as a result of your UA-cam videos? Would the UA-cam loss be offset by an increase in sales?
Just a tip, I myself find that your shorts are usually CNC based. I don't watch those because I don't have a CNC, so I find no value in videos like that. I do like your thoughts on sponsorships. I have seen too many woodworking creators who don't even do woodwork anymore because they have switched to UA-cam income because of sponsorships. It's sad. Thank you for putting out great content and keeping the rest of us dreaming for bigger things in woodworking.
Thank you for that comment about the shorts, that helps me, I will keep that in mind while I am making them. I am going to try to stay away from sponsorships as much as possible.
I've been following you ever since I watched your manstand video. I've been in the woodworking since I was a little kid I used to help my my grandpa out in the wood shop make everything from Piggy 😂Banks to quilt racks. Unfortunately he passed away right after my 15th birthday and with him being gone Grandma decided to not sell the woodcrafts anymore. Even though I tried to talk Grandma into letting me take over. She thought it was too dangerous for me to do.Also with my lack of running the big saws and equipment she was probably right. So recently in the last 7 years I've been fighting cancer go to no longer drive semi truck so I've been slowly trying to get back into woodcrafting. And after watching some of your videos I've decided that that's what I would like to do. Thank you for all your videos and helping to motivate me in the right direction.
im glad you said no to china, big respect, glad you didnt sell out to them. your doing good things , i enjoy the channel and your wood working knowledge
Hey i have a video id like for you to cover if you could. Ive been finding alot of "turn of the year" furniture sales. Do you think a 50grand a year weekend buisness is obtainable from marketplace restorations.
Great video. You mention in Jan 1 2023 you had 28k subscriber so you video title is a bit misleading. Not in a bad way though. You did not make $21k throughout 2023 with 80k subscribers. You made $21k as you climbed from 29k to 80k subscribers. I look forward to seeing the follow up video in 2025! Keep the momentum going.
Great video as always! Here’s to a successful 2024! I look forward to all your videos this year and a 2024 recap a year from now to see how much more you’ve grown on UA-cam! Maybe throw in some other info on how you’ve grown on other platforms as well ie facebook, instagram, ticktock!
@@JMarcusPedroza I agree for sure not easy! Its a struggle like everything else, but that's what makes it fun and interesting! Hopefully the channel can be a large part of the woodworking world on youtube in the near future! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment as well!

I appreciate the honest feedback - thanks for sharing your journey so far.

Isnt it so that the video's make you sell more with your woodshop? I'd say its a really good way to advertise your creations :).

I would rather watch long form videos, and no live streams.
Great Info, but now plans for world domination through UA-cam aren’t looking so good 😢😂
