Oooh I can't remember the exact video, but I'm pretty sure I watched one and immediately subscribed. Such great quality videos, such a wonderful attitude.
I think I had already found you on insta, then saw the Copenhagen half video and subscribed, coinciding with getting more serious with running. But my history says I watched the parkrun video with JOG ON 6 months prior, when I first started a running program
Collab with Ben and Mary Bridges on their channel. I subscribed before actually watching a full vid on your channel. 😂. If Ben and Mary say you’re good, then you’re good. 👍
Awesome video as always. I am small UA-camr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I haven't used a lot of Famester, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).
I saw you in another youtubers video doing parkrun with them and thought, she's a bit of a character. This somehow led me to your channel. Your fun playful approach is always refreshing and Daniels editing and support makes for a very solid offering.
Phily, I stumbled across your channel some time last year when I tried running for the first time. I remember binge watching nearly the entire library of videos lol! Both you and Daniel are some of my favourite UA-camrs. You both bring great energy, honesty and fun to the whole running process. I have really enjoyed seeing your career progress and lead you to where you are today. Your early videos like the park runs with Daniel were/are still some of my favourites! Here's to 2024 and the future!
Story time then. I got into running last April. I started to consume running content for inspiration and after a few Jog On videos the algorithm threw me into your video with Harry. You were so positive in attitude that I knew you were a creator to follow. Then after the algorithm immediately gave me the Halloween parkrun video with Daniel I SMASHED that subscribe button and haven’t looked back. You’re an inspiration and I’ll watch your original video now since I never have and you told me not to so now I must.
Hello from across the pond (Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada). I've been a subscriber for about a year-ish and thoroughly enjoy your content! I love watching you work towards your goals and hope to one day see you represent your country at the Olympics. Keep being your authentic self Phily, that's what endears people to your videos. Cheers!
Thanks to female runner/creators like you paving the way, I started a channel and made a documentary style video about my 11 year journey to finally run a marathon, after multiple difficult pregnancies and 4+ herniated discs ❤.
I really love watching your videos even though I am not an athlete. I am an artist. A blind artist. I also have a rare heart condition that is affecting my whole body. Sometimes, I would wake up depressed but just last week, I thought about what would help me get out of bed no matter how much I was hurting. I didn't want to hear yet another motivational video. I have over a thousand motivational videos in my playlist. It helped me to a point, but I was thinking that I needed something totally out of the box. That is when I found your videos. Even though you talk about running, you have great advice and motivation that I can use to get out of bed even when it hurts and go do my art. Lol😂 when my hand cramps up from painting, I think about what you said. "Love the grind." I drink a Gatorade, eat some protein, and I keep going. You also taught me how to set a schedule for myself. AND I'm keeping it🎉❤ I also learned not to overdo it and listen to my body. I may not be able to run a race, but your videos are helping me to be an artist. Like you, I'm still doing what I love to do despite all the setbacks. Because of you, I get up every morning and train like an artist. Lol😂 You should see the tone muscles in my art hand💪😂❤ I just want to say thank you. I really love your videos. Lol even the bad ones❤
A lot of people don't realise the amount of editing that goes into making a video like this. With the amount of quick changes in camera angles, topics, old video clips etc. I wouldn't like to hazard a guess as to how much time this video took to edit. I am no film maker but I think that it has been done really well.
Philly, you never fail to put a smile on my face with your videos. You are just wonderfully natural. And a great runner too. Thanks for what you do. Both of you do 😂
Mega congrats to you. I always look forward to your videos, because they're about more than just running: they're about embracing life, warts and all. 👍🏿
Thank you Phily for telling your journey about running and the details with transparency and sincerity. Thanks also to Daniel for making this wonderful videos and give us the possibility to watch them and learn from them. You are a professional runner, but every time I watch your videos I feel like I'm listening to a close friend! Best wishes for both of you.
I started watching your channel in Ma 22, Windiest 5k ever, really liked your humour, the music, and "Come on Philly", the loudest fan ever. Great work, love the grind.
Your smile and enjoyment brightens my day every time I watch your videos. And yes you motivate me to run all the time. I think this year we're signed up for two marathons two half marathons and maybe five other races throughout the year.
Stumbled across your video of you training with others at altitude before Houston marathon and loved your vibe. I've just quit rowing and so have taken up running to keep fit (and make me happy) and all going well so far. You've been a big inspiration so thank you!
Thanks for sharing. I stumbled upon your channel while researching shoes for my first marathon, and thankful to have found it. I enjoy your realness, and the raw aspects that you don’t shy away from. Here’s to 100k by the end of the year
I came across your channel in the "lawn chair interview" with Ben. On another note, my wife and I were shocked when we saw your age listed as 35 in the Houston results. "She looks so young" we thought. 28 makes sense.
I can’t remember the first video of yours that I watched but I was immediately hooked. It’s been fun watching the channel grow. I love your attitude and little glimpses of your life with Daniel. One of the best running channels on UA-cam and an important part of my weekend.
As a 51 year old man who will never run a marathon in 2hr 29min, which is very much ok, I find your channel very entertaining and fun. Keep doing what you are doing, and I will be here watching.
Love what you’ve done. Inspirational. It takes guts to make your own ways in life and not follow the crowd, so thanks for sharing your journey honestly and with very few filters
Philly, you and Daniel have my huge respect for the kind of content you are able to produce! You both are incredibly talented and skilled, it inspires me to work on my skills too. I just started posting videos about training for my first half-marathon and it takes me AGES to think of video idea, create footage, edit it, and put it out. I think people don't realise just how much work it is to create a video that ends up having just a few minutes in total. Only once you start making your own videos, then it really hits ya, haha! Fingers crossed on hitting 100K, you deserve it!
thank you Lenka! It certainly is easier being a team of two, we both help each other so much in the creation process so I feel truly lucky! Keep creating, it gets easier the more you do it!!
Turning 40 this summer and am still searching for that thing I want to do when I grow up ;) I enjoy your content and love the running inspiration you share! Hope you'll get back into the GB jersey soon!!
I absolutely love the insight into the life of a professional runner. Your videos are interesting & fun to watch and that made me subscribe as I want to keep watching them 🙂
I honestly can’t remember the video that made me subscribe, but I feel like I’ve been around since pretty close to the beginning. Let’s get you to 100k!
How dare you dis the camping chair chats champion. I've heard from the producers at team Phily that episode 1 was so good it was immediately shelved as it simply couldn't have been beaten 🤣 Get Radcliffe in a camping chair though...that I would watch!
I think I discovered you through the video you did with Jog On : it put you on the map for me, and then when the algorithm recommended you to me, I remembered you. I might also have watched the one you did with This Messy Happy, and I thought : "Oh, that's her, I remember her !". I can't remember which was the first video of yours that I watched, but I remembered that I really liked it. It felt both very authentic and yet beautifully created and edited. I quickly watched most of your videos, and then I subscribed quite quickly because I wanted to support you and Daniel. It's always a pleasure to see a new video !
I think the first video of yours was the Seville marathon one. I really appreciate you bringing us every day runners along for your journey. Most of us are probably living vicariously through your videos! Keep grinding and thanks again.
The algorithm put your Farnbrough half in my list. I had no idea it was your first. I saw your warm up routine, it made me realise immediately you were a serious and decent runner. That got my interest especially after you won that race.
Can't recall what the first video was but think that is because I binge watched from day one . Release date for new merch is my birthday so don't think I will forget that one lol!
Saw you on the "Jog on" Parkrun episode, where you pushed him to a PB and then your watch said your run had been "Unproductive" 🤣 I thought "how good is this girl"? and it turns out, you're amazing. Really enjoy your content, your honesty and the fantastic achievements you are racking up. Also, is that a Brakespear School tie in your old school photo? Can't wait for your adventures to continue this year.
I started posting a little while ago but have never found consistency but that’s my goal for this year. As you said at the end I just felt like most of the running voices were male so wanted to add a female viewpoint into that mix. And especially a pretty average runner! Thank you for being a role model to those aspiring to get into sports 🎉
I started following you after Ben is Running himself was bigging you up massively after your awesome run at Copenhagen marathon! Started watching your videos, now probably my favourite account 🙌😂
I can’t remember how I got to your channel. I’m not quick to subscribe but I subscribed to you channel after watching a few of your videos because you are very inspiring!
It's so exciting that you and Daniel are supporting yourselves using UA-cam, coaching, and editing. I'm happy to be one of the people who joined sometime in early 2023, and I think you'll hit 100k before the end of 2024! I travel alone, so I plan, film, and edit alone and the videos don't attract many people, so I know how difficult it can be. I prioritized my enjoyment of my around-the-world trip (for which I created my channel) instead of concentrating on the channel, and the results show that. But I wouldn't change it, I fulfilled one of my dreams.
Props to you for doing all those creating steps solo and on the go, its not easy! Sounds like you've found a good balance with it though, good for you!
Love that. You're such an inspiration. I actually just started a UA-cam channel and uploaded my first videos, but I'm still too shy to share them. But as you say, there is no failing; you'll only grow and develop from the beginning. Please keep up the work. Wish you the best for this season! 💫🙏
You know JUST CREATING the videos is a huge first step and can help you grow so much. I do hope you'll feel comfortable to share them one day too, it is scary!
Another great insight video. I'm a keen runner and love consuming running content. But I make a point of watching your videos when my 7yo daughter is present, to subconsciously encourage her by seeing a female runner. Keep doing what you're doing!
I always look forward to watching your videos because so many scenes that leaves me smiling, laugh, and so many great tips! I really needed to hear this trying to find a balance. Time to go run. You will definitely hit 100k subscribers!
Subd in late 2022 to the Q&A video where Daniel got a 400m PB 😂. I took up running for the first time around then and I've always found your videos super fun and very inspiring. As a very average runner I also love that Daniel now has his own channel. Thanks for all the great content and I hope you reach 100k subscribers goal this year!!!
So proud of you, Daniel and this amazing journey you have documented ❤ a couple of video ideas: “full bts of designing, filming etc a video”; and also “tips for balancing full time work and competitive training/“living like I used to when working a 9-5 for a day””???
I was very lucky to find you almost at the beginning. I was following Amritpal Ghatora's channel and I read a comment he made responding to one of yours, which was something like "I'm really loving your channel right now", so out of curiosity I checked it out. You had only made two videos by then, I liked what I saw and have been loving the grind ever since.
Great video Philly! Coming back to UA-cam after a couple year layoff..you've helped inspire my wife (from pro runner) and I to document her running comeback after having kids...what part of her journey should we focus on to grow our subs? I have decent following currently from how to swim vids but anytime we put something personal other than swimming..our views are next to nothing...your feedback would be awesome, we want to live the dream too!
I think I became aware of your channel and who you were after watching a video by Harry Morgan (this is Jog On). I’m sure I subscribed soon after that.
I'm a very new subscriber, only just subbed about a week ago (technically just under 50k, I think). I found you while trying to come up with some variation in my half marathon training plan and I came across your 7 workouts to run a faster half marathon video. I watched 1-2 more videos and then decided to subscribe. I also remembered seeing you on Jog On when you ran a parkrun with Harry.
Hey Phily! Love your channel. Could you please do a video on what your running schedule looks like after a Marathon training block! I’m finishing up my Marathon training this week and looking ahead, I have no idea how to structure my running outside of ‘the block’. Many thanks!
The video that made me subscribe was the Copenhagen marathon video. I recognized you because I had already seen some insta reels of you here and there, and I thought it was so dope you had a UA-cam platform !
I can't even remember how I came across your page, (was a year or so ago, I think) because I have no interest in running but something made me subscribe and I really enjoy the videos and still here. 😂🥳
You remind me of the runner I could have dreamt of becoming if I had started 25 years earlier -- more talent could have helped also. I love that you have tried lots of types of jobs and have had some struggles along the way. My only suggestion is to feature your wonderful gray cats more - there is an entire parallel universe of online cat lovers for you to tap into. ❤
Well done for all the success you guys achieved in just a few years!!:) video idea: how a personal trainer changed your running compared to when you trained on your own? (I'm interested in potentially looking for one haha)
Should start a run club. Like Rapha, or tracksmith. Brands that offer you the opportunity to experience it physically. Like Kofuzi shake outs. I know Manchester would be in, most run clubs require memberships and don’t allow drop ins. I personally struggle with that. People would definitely jump in and bring friends
hey! i just ran my first ever half marathon in 1:39!Thanks for all the tips, i am indebted to your channel and the "The Running Channel" for the workout tips! I only had two weeks to train, and as someone who has just begun running,i really appreciate the content you put out.
😎👍…what I particularly like about your videos: real life, the good tips, the humourous way. I’m looking forward to your new videos... also: now I’m thinking about posting a not perfect YT video (in future)...😁
I think I came over and subscribed after seeing you run parkrun with Harry (March 22). Then I went back and watched the ones I’d missed. In fact I’ve found a few fave channels that way - e.g. Benisrunning did a tie up with Andy FOD runner and Ben from the Messhaps where they each set a session for eachother to do and I subscribed to them. I reckon doing the odd video with other UA-camrs might be a good way to hit that 100k. Though I’m sure you will do it anyway and smah your PB. 💪
Here’s a fun little game for you regulars: comment below the video that made you hit the subscribe button 😆 I’m intrigued 👀
Oooh I can't remember the exact video, but I'm pretty sure I watched one and immediately subscribed. Such great quality videos, such a wonderful attitude.
I watched your park run with jog on then found your channel
I think I had already found you on insta, then saw the Copenhagen half video and subscribed, coinciding with getting more serious with running. But my history says I watched the parkrun video with JOG ON 6 months prior, when I first started a running program
the seville marathon video, actually ! but i saw the night of the 10km pbs video first ...
Same video that got me watching.
That’s how I found Philly as well!!
Me too!
Same here 😂
Snap

Thank you for sharing your story! I am happy for you. I agree that there are plenty of things artists & athletes can learn from one another. ☺️

I actually have no clue how I ended up here, but I'm glad I did. Love seeing your positivo content. Keep your amazing work.
As a recent subscriber love that UA-cam enables you to do what you love, and really enjoy the insights into life as a professional athlete!
Aw I love this, WELCOME TO RUNNING! Maybe one day you can teach me how to row haha
UA-camrs always look like an overnight success because they only just found you.
...but we know the truth Phily 😊❤🎉
I just started my channel this year! Thank you for this video 😊
Literally running while listening to this 🏃♀️
Keep up the great work!
I noticed that too in Houston and I was surprised. Wonder what happened there
Haha, so its a bit misleading, "F35" means under 35 years old... even though yes I'm a good few years under that!
I can’t remember the first video of yours that I watched but I was immediately hooked. It’s been fun watching the channel grow. I love your attitude and little glimpses of your life with Daniel. One of the best running channels on UA-cam and an important part of my weekend.
You're the legend! I love your struggle, your success, and your motto: Love the Grind.
As a 51 year old man who will never run a marathon in 2hr 29min, which is very much ok, I find your channel very entertaining and fun. Keep doing what you are doing, and I will be here watching.

@@PhilyBowden Awww, thanks, Philly! I appreciate it! 🙏🏻
Amazing runner, youtuber and influence thanks and all the best to you both💪🏻💪🏻
Turning 40 this summer and am still searching for that thing I want to do when I grow up ;) I enjoy your content and love the running inspiration you share! Hope you'll get back into the GB jersey soon!!
Congratulations!!!! So happy things are going well. Really enjoy your videos and life story.
Pro Runner and UA-cam Extraordinaire!!! PHILY !!! Phily Bowden !!!
I love how you included the other female runners on UA-cam! Some I hadn’t heard of, thank you. You’re a badass Phily , love you 💜💜
Yes definitely be yourself. Your unique personality is what makes it good.
I absolutely love the insight into the life of a professional runner. Your videos are interesting & fun to watch and that made me subscribe as I want to keep watching them 🙂
Love watching your journey 😊 you are such an inspiration, thx 🙏
The world needs more Phily's.
Love you gorl.
I honestly can’t remember the video that made me subscribe, but I feel like I’ve been around since pretty close to the beginning. Let’s get you to 100k!

Thanks for the great videos, love watching your journey and positivity. Really inspiring even as a plodding club runner. All the best for the future
The 2:29 Copenhagen marathon video! How inspiring and joyful ❤
Can't recall what the first video was but think that is because I binge watched from day one . Release date for new merch is my birthday so don't think I will forget that one lol!
Leap year birthday person!! How old will you be? 4, 5?
I wish lol, 11@@PhilyBowden
I love your content, I was talking about it on my long run this morning.
You and Daniel are a fab team and I feel connected and inspired by you both
Now you’re making me jealous that you’ve already done your long run today!
@PhilyBowden hi phily!!! How does one start there own channel? In terms of how do you grt started to with gear etc
Loove seeing your personality! Thnx for these vids!
I still miss that old intro track you used to use, bangin! Keep up the good work the pair of you!
UA-cam analytics disagreed, musical intro sequences kill retention sadly!!
Haha, was a real fun collab working with Harry on that video! Looks similar, its a Ranelagh school tie!
I really enjoy your videos. You're doing great work with Dan. There are not enough female runners on youtube. Keep paving the way 😊
I started posting a little while ago but have never found consistency but that’s my goal for this year. As you said at the end I just felt like most of the running voices were male so wanted to add a female viewpoint into that mix. And especially a pretty average runner! Seville marathon got me hooked. Didn't realize how early that was.
Basically an OG!
Another great insight video. I'm a keen runner and love consuming running content. But I make a point of watching your videos when my 7yo daughter is present, to subconsciously encourage her by seeing a female runner.
Keep doing what you're doing!
Thank you, this has made my day 🥹❤️
Well done Phily! Been there since the first video 👍👍
altitude camp/what i eat in a day videos are my favorite, but i don't know what video in particular made me smash the subscribe button
I came here from Tiktok, obsessed with you and your content - I've recently started a YT channel and you're really inspired me :)
The beer add was great hahaha. Keep doing what youre doing I love this channel, you are truly an inspiration
I always look forward to watching your videos because so many scenes that leaves me smiling, laugh, and so many great tips! I really needed to hear this trying to find a balance. Time to go run. You will definitely hit 100k subscribers!
You and Allie are deffo my faves!!!
Subd in late 2022 to the Q&A video where Daniel got a 400m PB 😂. I took up running for the first time around then and I've always found your videos super fun and very inspiring. As a very average runner I also love that Daniel now has his own channel. Thanks for all the great content and I hope you reach 100k subscribers goal this year!!!
subscribed here because I realized I want to support what you're doing
Your UA-cam Self will motivate your Athlete Self, and vice versa. Best of Irish luck with Olympic qualifying!
This is honestly so true, its a circle!
Just checked on your oldest videos and realized I‘m watching since your 2nd video. Time is running fast 😱
Congrats to your amazing journey!
Dang, thanks for being here for so long!! ❤
Thanks Phily, great work. I'm subscribed!
Your a very positive UA-camr keep up the awesome work
Great video Phily!!! Very insightful
So proud of you, Daniel and this amazing journey you have documented ❤ a couple of video ideas: “full bts of designing, filming etc a video”; and also “tips for balancing full time work and competitive training/“living like I used to when working a 9-5 for a day””???
Some great ideas here, the first one sounds like its made for Daniel and his channel!!
Pretty early on, saw your Farnborough half video as it’s my home one. Then saw you ran for my old club 🎉 followed straight away 👍💜
I saw you on Jog On l, but didn't subscribe until your second Copenhagen half wrap up.
Keep em coming Phily 🎉
I came across your channel at your second video! Watched all since 😊
I'd also like to meet Ben 😅 looking forward to what you keep brining here!
Race of my life- Copenhagen Marathon 💚
I think YT thought I’d like your channel because I’m a big Allie Ostrander fan… and they were right 🥰
Could you do a video on your selfcare routines? There's so few of them from female athletes!!! I would love to hear.
more cats - NOTED!!!
Found your channel last year after watching a video from This Messy Happy❤
Well done for all the success you guys achieved in just a few years!!:)
video idea: how a personal trainer changed your running compared to when you trained on your own? (I'm interested in potentially looking for one haha)
Should start a run club. Like Rapha, or tracksmith. Brands that offer you the opportunity to experience it physically. Like Kofuzi shake outs.
I know Manchester would be in, most run clubs require memberships and don’t allow drop ins. I personally struggle with that. People would definitely jump in and bring friends
daniel really knows what he's doing, cutting to weird/strange memey gif things.
I’m Ngl yall can say what yall want but Dan was the sole reason i hooked, every week i was wondering how bro was doing😂😂
Legend! 🫵❤
hey! i just ran my first ever half marathon in 1:39!Thanks for all the tips, i am indebted to your channel and the "The Running Channel" for the workout tips!
Lampshade hat looks cool!!
I can’t remember but I think it was “Running has changed the course of my life” …? In any case, huge fan immediately 🙌🏼
Question! Does a viewer skipping the ad on videos impact your pay compared to allowing the ad play all the way through? I’ve heard it both ways.
Your fun personality made me subscribe. 😊
