    Accumulator springs simply cushion the shift. Stiffer springs equal a firmer shift, and the thicker plate holds the higher spring pressure without distorting. I'm running this kit and love it.

    Good job and saved me some guess work! My Durango is an '02 4.7 4x4 with 197,000 miles. The trans was not shifting into 2nd or 3rd all the way, on occasion, and this kit is highly recommended. I hope it does the job and will find out today. FYI, Rock Auto has a replacement oil pan with a drain plug for this trans.

    Thanks for posting this. Ordering the trango kit to solve my 2nd to 3rd problem. Plate screws came out in the pan and plate was bent.

    I just purchased a transgo kit yesterday and the first thing I was going to do it shoot a video. Looks like you took a good video. I will probably do the snap ring and the trans pump spring upgrades too.

      The only thing I wish I had shown in this video was how to unplug the electrical connector but for the most part I tried to make this video as informative as possible. Good luck with your trans!

    Hello. I like your video. I have a 5-45RFE and plan to install the Shift kit. But I have seen some change the pistons. What do you think?

    Hi..my transmission In 09 ram sometimes stays in 4th gear..would this kit help that out...last time I changed the fluid my truck ,it somehow gave it tire ripping power..lasted for maybe 6 months but went soggy again..it still drives fine...would this kit benefit me with that issue as well?

    What is the reason for installing this kit? What does it fix or repair?

    I did not notice any difference after installing this shift kit.

    I know this is an old video, but what were you doing at the end of part 1?
    It looked as though you were getting ready to change that little valve,
    and you were messing with some kind of tool but I have no idea what it was, and in part 2 it looks like you were already done with it.

    • @Internetpirate3
      @Internetpirate3  2 роки тому

      It was an old hard drive magnet. The valve is steel and the VB is aluminum so pulled the valve out easier.

      @@Internetpirate3 Nice, so when you got it out you just coated in ATF and put the new ones back in? Was there any trick to that or do they just slide in and that's it?

    • @Internetpirate3
      @Internetpirate3  2 роки тому

      @@CHAOSMOVEMENT Yep just do that. If it doesnt just slide in theres trash in the bore and will need to be sprayed out with brake cleaner

    Hi I have a dodge dakota with a 545rfe transmission. The problem is that it stalls when I put it in gear but it works in reverse. I changed the shift solenoid but it didn´t help. Is the torque converter lock up somehow any clues of what part it make it to fail.

    changing the transmission solenoid pack will fix my neutral safety switch or reverse safety switch problem? (they are the same ,aren't they?)

    I'm thinking about doing this to my 2011 ram and I dont have a tuner. I plan on getting one later, is it hard to remove the resistor later?

    • @Internetpirate3
      @Internetpirate3  5 років тому

      It should be pretty easy to remove the resistor later on. Just when you install it you can use a spade connector in the wiring harness to attach the resistor temporarily.

      @@Internetpirate3thanks so much for the reply. I didn't notice that the video was so old until after I posted.
      Does the resistor get connected in the fuse box?
      Again thank you for replying

    • @Internetpirate3

      Connect the resistor inline with the wiring harness preferably at the solenold pack connector.

    how did you know that your shift kit needed replacement? i have tge same transmission and after a throughral atf change with new filters, the car will shift, but wont move. did this happen in your car? mant thanx and great video

    • @Internetpirate3
      @Internetpirate3  10 років тому +1

      Check the fluid level and check to make sure you have the flat filter seated correctly. Also make sure that when you install the new seal for the flat filter you have to tap it in with a hammer or it will leak and your car won't move.

    • @user-dr1ez1yr3u

      Sounds like your seal on the flat filter hasn't seated all the way. I've seen it in this transmission many times.

    First, B for the effort, but have the right tools and use the correct assembly lube. Overall, thumbs down.
