The Parfum is so good.
I'm wearing parfum right now, the opening is really pleasant, smooth. I have edp as well, and i wear it only when i need to project like a beast. Nevertheless, I'm happy to have both. I prefer the smell of parfum.
I have all 3 and agree Parfum has the best overall smell!
Perfum does smell good but no one around you can smell it.
I saw this, and then went to try the Sauvage Parfum, and I liked it so much that I got it, even though is bashed horribly in this video. 3 sprays, and it lasted on me some solid 6+ hours because my wife constantly was getting into my office and asking me to take it out as it was too strong, which it was, so after some hours, I had to dial it down. This is NOT close to the EDT by any means, all 3 the EDT, Parfum, and Elixir are completely different fragrances and this is just pure poetry.
I experienced the same thing with this fragrance but at the 2 hour mark I was receiving compliments. I could not smell it but I guess others could.
People tend to think that because you can’t smell the scent then others can’t , this is not true . I’ve had compliments some 14 hours later even though I can’t smell it .
I've been enjoying this for 2 months now and I prefer it over EDT and EDP(both of which I love). The opening is beautiful and that fresh orange pop crops up from time to time over the first hour, the smokey, powdery notes really suit the rich and delicious vanilla and tonic bean combo and there's a warm spicy kick throughout. Sits close to the skin for me but stays all day and it's nice to have a familiar fresh opening but dries down to a much warmer and more inviting scent for the longevity, EDP has that familiar vanilla but not quite as moreish as the Parfum. Really enjoy it and I hope that others have found the same over the years
I think that Dior created this Savauge Parfum because, edp was a projection beast with too strong metallic taste and Dior wanted to calm it down, because for many people this was too offensive. It sounds weird that the Parfum version is lighter than edt and edp but I think this was Dior's purpose. Anyway, I really enjoyed the whiskey break 😀

Sauvage is my all time favorite, same story as well Chris it was my first true love in fragrances and it has a special spot in my heart whether it’s the edt edp or parfum
Appreciate both of your takes on this , I tried it and found it pleasant but forgettable but I'm sure many will gravitate towards this and love it. I hope they find what they enjoy regardless of the concentration.
I feel pretty much the same Robert. When compared to the previous iterations it's more forgettable.
All the Scent Tubers bash the parfum, mostly because they are all young folks used to harsher and “more projecting” scents. I like it a lot. The Parfum is much more subtle and in my opinion more classy, it doesn’t try to knock people out. By the way, Dior knows the secret formula for men’s fragrances - open bright and fresh, then sweet or vanilla to draw women closer, then powdery to close the deal. Women love the smell of baby powder, it turns many women on and outs them in baby mode.
Sorry George, you're wrong .. sauvage is a great line that took more thinking than you realise..hence you smell it everywhere..

I got 12+ hrs with nice projection and I bought mines Honestly for close encounters. As time goes on more people will grow to love it. If not , more juice for me lol
4 yrs later and all these frag-heads are saying it's 2nd best after the Elixir.

Heavily disagree with George here. BdC parfum is definitely not generic. It’s a masterpiece. It may be not super special and artistic but it’s the pinnacle of designers imo. My all time fav scent as of today that made me get into fragrances and i smelled a lot of fragrances by now.
You are the ONLY reviewer that I watch who likes the Parfum release.
My Dad had the Parfum and for him, it worked because of his skin chemistry. However, I do agree that it’s not the strongest Sauvage. But it’s still as unique as the elixir in terms of scent. Both the Parfum and Elixir have different scents. One having a creamy orangey opening, while the other one has more of a nutmeg and spicy cinnamon opening. But the projection, longevity and overall performance are completely different. The Parfum doesn’t last long. Now on your clothes? Yeah because it’s an Alcohol Based Cologne. My Dad thought it was oil based. I think he read it wrong. Or maybe like I said, his skin chemistry is so good that for him, it just works. The elixir will last long on pretty much everything. Now if we’re talking about The EDT. It’s sharper, piercing and more synthetic while the EDP is more smoother and well rounded. Not to mention darker. If I had to choose any Sauvage, I’d go for the EDP. Why? Because you can wear it in any season and any occasion just like the EDT, but I like fragrances that aren’t super sharp and piercing. I like more well rounded and smoother fragrances. It creates a balance. I already have the elixir and love it. Although I wouldn’t recommend wearing it in the spring or summer. As it’s too pungent. Too overpowering. Go with the EDP if you’re wanting to wear a fragrance that isn’t too strong in the heat.
Weird how both BdC parfum and sausage parfum are both different and not as strong as their counterparts
George must've got a bad batch because mine smells very nice on my skin at least. I can smell it the next day on my clothes too! Got a compliment as soon as i walked into a restaurant! It's a win for me 😉
I really enjoy the sandalwood and it's not as loud/strong as the others. It's overpriced for what it is though sadly. But if you like it, wear it I say. I agree with you and if this release was a stand alone people wouldn't of given it shit.
I have and love the EDP, I like the EDT, but I wouldn't spend money to get it. I find it too loud and overbearing, while EDP is so smooth and alluring for me.
Parfum is even better, it is so nice, so warm and pleasent, while retaining the original DNA. I tried it 2 times it lasted 8 hours and I had to wash and 9 hours and I had to go to sleep. Performance is very good, projection is good for 2 hours, then it is a skin scent.
Now, the price... it is just ridiculous... Maybe next year or so when it makes its way to discounters for about 75-80 euros, then it will be worth picking this up.

You are both spot on! Have had the EDT and love it and tested the EDP and I dig that one too. But the Parfum-version is ridiculously weak. Great channel and collab.

The best In the Sauvage line🙌 Here’s the trick to test this: Take a break from the sauvage dna couple of days, spray it behind your knees, let it do the work and enjoy how awesome this smells in the air without getting noseblind. When I spray it on my neck or even my arm I’m starting to losing the shades in the scent already after some minutes and after an hour Im noseblind to it!

You should try Buffalo trace or double barrel woodford reserve. Strongly recommend both neat. Let them breath for a minute or two and they’ll be so smooth. Gentlemen drink.

Good honest review I'd defo pick the whiskey lol. I get ur point on its own it would be OK, I'm glad you get that dirty skanky phase I thought it was my skin, it does go but its definitely there. I really ain't a sauvage fan but id go for the edp out of the 3
Yeh it's not bad on it's own but compared to its brothers it comes off as lackluster.
I’ve never seen something hated so much because it’s so good. It’s a lot of haters in the fragrance community lol it’s awesome. Just too popular for some 💯

This Parfum last on skin just doesn’t project. An i think its more for the colder weather. But yall just bashed it especially george lol
It lasts longer on my skin than my edp version it just doesn’t project as much … but … that’s just a pure parfum characteristic due to less alcohol 🍺

Great video guys. As I am not a fan of Sauvage, I'm really interested now to sniff the new parfum.
Powdered floral bomb that is very reminiscent of grandma's perfumes. Stays like that for four hours then weirdly turns into an amazing cedar skin scent. Not worth wearing because of the opening and mid and the zero projection.
I own EDP and is bloody fantastic, guys buy EDP not the Parfume version
Since you guys enjoyed Gentleman Jack I highly recommend getting a taste of Jefferson Reserve very old batch had friend who GJ and Woodford Reserve and got JRVO for him and he's vmnever looked back
Can’t say I’m over stoked to get my nose on it but Im in no doubt the day will come when I get round to actually try it, but hopes aren’t high as I’m not that keen on the edt lol 😆

Fragmental i value your opinion and agree with you that its more an intimate take on Sauvage but i would add to that saying its more like a Cologne concentration than a Parfum? Personally i would have preferred a little more projection and perhaps some unique twist? i just find it a little minimalistic & uninteresting. I'm a huge fan of both the EDT & EDP and your guest George is correct in having Empathy for Sauvage's fan base in such a disappointing Sauvage release, Due to its pre Christmas add campaign it will sell but there will be a lot of disappointed fellas come Boxing day. what on earth was Dior & Francois Demachy trying to achieve ?
Some very salient points. Whilst I don't think it's bad I am very underwhelmed. I'd have loved a bit more strength and darkness. Possibly some leather, tobacco or even a boozy note. I think any of those could mix pretty well with the Sauvage DNA.

I have all 3, Parfum doesn’t last 😟
Certainly not compared to the other two.
I just DONT GET the love for this fragrance. I have the EDP and just sold it on ebay. Used the funds to order Chronic by Byron 50ml. Yaaaay. I prefer Dylan Blue which is similar but for me waaaay nicer than Sauvage.
I quite liked it too, know it's not the popular view. Got the EDP however so until it's time to consider replacing it will save the £ for now.
Thought the t was suitable for someone maybe 26/27 in age but maybe not for someone a couple of years older 😉
Sauvage went down the same road as BDC. These companies need to come up with an orginal idea. It's a pass for me. Have a great Sunday!✌

Smell wise I love the new Parfum but the performance is almost non existing.It’s quite funny ,they’ve refined the smell but at the same time the performance has gone downhill.
For me the Edp remains the best of this line all things considered.

This testing of cologne is a bit off guys. Wear them for a day and see.

I have so high expectations about the Parfum version but the projection and longevity are so weak I try it put 6 heavy sprays in my arm in 30 Mn can’t smell at all so disappointed at this price point I will pass
WTF? I sprayed 1 spray from a decant and the smell was still on my hand like 8 hours later
Sauvage is a copy of a forgotten fragrance called Brut. I think Brut actually smells better! Sauvage is bascially Brut with molasses added to it. Their names are similar too. A savage is a brutish person.
Hey Chris, I'm sure you agree but I am really proud of George for getting that bottle open, so manly. If you have any other version of this it is just unnecessary.

In the mean time some great fragrances are being released and get no attention. The designer game is all about 15 year old's. Thats their market. Man things really changed. The fragrance community's has a big share of blame to where the designer game came to. All the best.

Nothing special but not all that bad either, what's more, doesn't deserve the guff it's been getting...just ridiculous. The only problem I would say I have is the bloody price, what are you doing Dior, greedy gits. Mind you, don't wear it in high temps because It's ridiculously strong when the sun's popping.

The parfum sucks, I don't get it. EDP is miles better. It's like the toned down the top notes and made it weaker. When you say a whole lot of nothing I totally agree. It's like you're waiting for more and it never comes. Bland
