For a native like Connor makes more sense his ability in parkour through trees than Shay
Shay was literally trained by a native....
Not really since he needed to adapt after a banding the Assassin's, the surrounding areas of the homestead was forests so it made for perfect practice and Adaptability for him and fits in

@@shamanllama No it's not. It shows in gameplay, shay can do everything connor can do. Shay was taught by a master assassin who had his whole life to train himself. Connor was self taught or learned from one of his common village folk. By logic Master Assassins Kesegowase's training >>>>> Self taught/ learning from village folk. It's not even close.
Free running and parkour on the trees as a native American looks too damn awesome. I enjoyed it so mutch

@@ShUrIkEn2558yeah, Edward is a pirate so he probably did a lot of climbing as practice in the Caribbean or West Indies before we got to see him do it so fluently in gameplay. As for Haytham, he does know how to climb up buildings but not trees. He probably could learn but just didn't want to because there isn't any point to climb trees in an environment made up of mostly buildings (that being London or New York)

As for Shay, he used to be a Frontier Assassin, probably taught by Achilles himself or his old brothers like Kasegowaase.

Although I have always preferred Shay to Connor, Connor's parkour is more fluid and fast than Shay's.
At the same time, normal, Connor was born in this environment, Shay became successful through his work.
It's a bit like Messi and Ronaldo.
One was born in football, the other became it thanks to his work.
Although both are exceptional.

@@rebelxtreme3871 that's not true. Ac3 has the special tree types like the viewpoint ones, in it you can use precision mode to air assassinate ir hang civilians. In ac4 it's basically a much worse ac3 with the better ship climbing. In rogue it's ac4 but with zipplines, ropes properly placed around cities and normal villages and no building-crossing animations
Both great games but AC3 has the edge for me. I loved exploring the wilderness and cities in that game.
Ac 3 , 4 and rogue are pretty much the same in parkour and fighting
3 is slightly better, 4 and rogue are copy paste with no changes

To all the people saying the animations are smoother in ac3, you're wrong, it's the camera in ac3 that moves better, the camera in rogue is more directly stuck behind the character, so you clip through trees and bobble up and down a lot more.

camera in ac3 follow you with smooth motion , ac 4 and rouge has a a far camera than ac 3 , but camera shakes in area really feels good and much better than ac3

Shay is the fastes assassin in the older games, he literally outran an earthquake that destroyed a whole city and ran for like8 minutes straight.

I love these games mechanic
Both have the same mechanics but AC3 parkour and running animations actually bring a feel to it. The AC rouge parkour lacks that.

People like to diss AC3 but it set up the parkour for the games after. It was a few years ahead of it's time. Its a shame its infested with bugs and cutscenes every few seconds.

You forgot to talk about the controls the movement is much smoother in AC3 and also its better in AC4.

AC3 was better than ac4 and rogue in terms of parkour and animations. Connor was also able to climb cliffs and rocks unlike ac4 and rogue protagonists

Yeah but ac 4 and rogue are massive open world game while ac 3 needs to load each maps when you enter. You can pretty much go anywhere with your ship in ac4 and rogue.
