As an avid Verdant Moon player, I actually like that the community today is kinda small. It helps the narrative of "Only a few people survived the song" and it becomes easier to make a name for yourself. However what I think the game lacks is story and lore prescence. Now don't get me wrong. The lore is definately there. It's just tucked away enough for people to more or less ignore it. Lore and worldbuilding is one of Verdant Moon's biggest strengths and it feels sad seeing it go unnoticed.
As a person who discovered verdant Moon its final days of popularity when it had around 1,000k every other day, i neglected it, its only when it died i actually played it because it was in my recommended for so long, and im happy about it, its really fun as a new face, i just hope a bigger playerbase comes along, when you make friends and enemies you tend to see the same faces alot.
weapons, skills, gems, spells, prestige, shrines, quests, relics, arcana, upgrades, covenant, mini-bosses, factions. There's so much stuff to do even after or before you prestige, its just so hidden not much people know about it, but if you know, it starts getting fun again
This was the most beautiful game on roblox… I wish… I really do wish that it was still around… around this time project star and verdant moon were the most promising games on roblox. It’s so sad…
lack of content kills a game in the long run in roblox. thats why there is so many games that though not a simulator, still has has some simulator elements into it. Take the simulator elements out and you got a game with less content, and even if devs somehow made a game like verdant moon its a pain as it requires so much time. By now your future core audience will be gone chasing another game.
I'm interested in its lore; perhaps if there was an option to know more of the world around the players, it would feel like they *actually* lived in it, and not just spawned out of nowhere.
i love verdant moon for its pvp system and the rogue lineage feel of it, been playing it since release and i was devastated when i came back to roblox after a break from it and seeing it only has a few players left.
i remember when i first played it.. was like 2020 or 2021 something? eh i forget.. still get the same vibe, i finally came back to it in 2022-2023ish and the lore expanded by alot.. it still hold the old memory when i first played it. pretty sad that the game is just so dead.. the soundtrack that the dev pick was really perfect, sometime i even cried to the soundtrack ngl.
honestly its hard for a roblox game to get constant updates because even though it may be a game like any other, a lot of developer teams will encounter issues going forward. They aren't professionals, and they are only getting paid in the robux they get from the game, which can be not a lot for passion projects. Devs in roblox are still just people, and people that don't have perfect work etiquette since in the end its just roblox and they arent getting jackshit from it
its not that the devs are people which is holding most games back. its the fact those devs are mostly kids, they have school, homework, chores. and since they're still growing up alot of conflict can happen for stupid reasons.
arent getting jackshit? u know sum roblox devs are millonares rn from their games right? u make 0 sense and roblox is easy asf to learn u dont have to be a professional (i have been a dev for 4 years now) u can learn anything on roblox within a few weeks they stop working on the game due to lack of motivation simple as that
i understand your point of how they do get money and maybe i overgeneralized (sorry if i did) but its not like all devs get that kind of money, especially since I said if it was a passion project. and by devs being people that also umbrellas to things like lack of motivation or things like that. I'm also a dev (much less time than you), and from my experience, not posting updates for a long period of time is understandable; there are a lot of factors like work, school, mental issues, etc. that can happen because most passion project developers (for roblox at least) are more person than developer.
I started at around 500 players and it’s quite bewildering because of how few players you see now, it’s such a large world and it feels so mysterious I really want to know all about this world like. What is the deal with sin and virtue, what’s the deal with terra and the song and so much more I just am desperate to know
verdant moon is what got me into rouge like games in roblox, i've played it for 2 weeks and there's still new stuff im discovering in this gamebut i don't think that will be for much longer
I only discovered Verdant Moon about a month ago, and as of right now it averages around 70-80 players, so I will say that making a name for yourself is definitely easier, and the feeling of being within a close knit community is really comforting as well as adding to the atmosphere, but it does become monotonous and truly boring after you’ve been grinding for weeks only for 10 big stars and cool title. So much potential, such poor execution
Im pretty sure its because of the lack of content the endgame has nothing to do and it gets very boring if you repeat the same thing for 15 times Edit : Just got to lvl 50 and cant prestige >;(
You mentioned how all there is left to do is prestige, but you didn’t even mention how there’s not enough content to want you to prestige in the first place after like level 20-30 there’s like nothing left, the game had a really nice look to it and I enjoyed playing while I did, but it shouldn’t have released that early with so little content Ruinam FTW btw it’s basically Snarv
The devs just don't seem to care, multiple major bugs left in the game since launch, new really awful bugs introduced with the update (items won't even save anymore). Combined with basically nonexistant moderation in their discord and no interaction with the community they had, a lot of the oldest players that stuck with the game through everything are just being flushed out. I quit because one of their friends with specs teleported to me twice across map with his group of 10 and killed me while I was trying to farm the items I lost to a bug 5 times in a row. It's a shame with the potential the game has and I believe they could still recover but with the way they treat their most committed players you really can't count on it.
@@fortent I thought this was the issue at first too, but I collected items for over an hour in a server and lost them all instantly next time I joined. Not a combat log, loaded in at the same spot with my hotbar scrambled and items deleted. This happens almost every time you rejoin now.

same
btw like last week it had almost 1k if 789 players doesent sound like almost 1k then i dont no what does
Imao when the next generation comes and then they try it after like 20 years (my kids) it'll prob be popular again.
i discovered verdant moon a day ago
its really fun

simple explanation like every roblox game that gets the spotlight for a second

the soundtrack is so emotional, i have no idea why
Because those OSTs were actually from Rewrite, an ADV game made by Key.
It's being killed off by rogue mods now.

Still seeing it alive with 100+ players still makes me want to play it again lol.
verdant moon is what got me into rouge like games in roblox, i've played it for 2 weeks and there's still new stuff im discovering in this gamebut i don't think that will be for much longer
People were impatient that's why it died
I wish they would make little updates like every week than a a big update in a year
the devs are working on a rewrite yeahhh

It also emphasizes on the whole thing about not many people surviving The Song.
i just want you guys to understand verdant moon is trying to make its comeback
lmao i just discovered it i dont really care that it has 400 players usually i like it anyways and play it for fun :D
Im pretty sure its because of the lack of content the endgame has nothing to do and it gets very boring if you repeat the same thing for 15 times
Edit : Just got to lvl 50 and cant prestige >;(
it wants a close community
Nice vid keep doing these pls
I first played it when it was dead tbh it was really good it just not as much content for a really good game
is not boring is actually diffrent if you play the game long enough you will be addicted to it and you will play it non stop
world of magic is being remade completel. 70% now, drop next year, gonna be big

I agree with your points and had the the same after 20 experience as you. thanks for sharing!
