List of things I forgot: A VERY important part of the lore explanation: after the events of the song of distraction Aeon’s like “I’m not having any of this” and creates husks (called dissonants) (which is what you play as in the game) and sends them down to earth for no purpose but to kill then give him all of your experience so he can combat the song because apparently it’s still being sung ( rebirthing ) - Crediting the wiki for images and lore - Didn’t pronounce Ilitria properly
I think its kind of poetic the state the game is in right now, slowly dying, husks of the former player base just running around. Its as if the lore and the game itself merged, as if Terra literally sung her song and the present game is the aftermath.
Verdant moon was truly one of my favoruite games ever. The lore was great, the map was distorted yet beautiful, the music (althought taken from another project) was so fitting and perfect. I will always remember this game and I do hope that rewritten brings this game back up to the top page. What a game. 10/10.
Played verdant moon since it’s release and watched it die slowly, although sad I don’t regret the time I put into that game nor do I regret meeting the people I met and the experiences I had. The combat, the story literally everything about it to me was so addictive and it had so much potential. Nowadays I join servers that are almost empty or go through the screenshots I have on my computer and reminisce, glad to see it’s being remade and I’m glad to see people overtime mentioning it else where because I felt like deepwoken really overshadowed verdant moon
This game was a masterpiece to me man, it really meant everything for the time i played it, seeing the new verdant moon rewrite leaks holy hell it gives me so much hope. Nice video by the way! Your experience in verdant moon was cool to watch.
man, its a shame im only discovering this game and community as of 2 days ago from today, But it also is a nice feeling of exploring a almost abandoned game, as it give of the "ruins" vibe much more. Knowing the games inactivity.

Maaan doing conquest with the guys was some of the most fun i had on roblox, i really hope the remake will be as good as this. It was so much fun to figure stuff out, make new builds, and even doing kon was fun when you knew how to do it solo. Virtue and sin are really fun mechanics, and i really hope the remake includes them in some way.

I was actually so sad that stella quitted because there wouldn't be any contribution to deepwoken made by stella. I had prestige 5 and I'm a claw (?) main or whatever the name is due to the last time I've played was when the inventory slot's UI has changed. Hearing rewrite's ost from anywhere brings me to tears probably because I was so attached to the game since like 3 or 2 years ago. I really hope stella will come back and vm:r continues. Best pvp game ever 10/10.

Once in a while i just comeback to the game and just walk around for minutes until i have walked over the whole map and then i just close the game. Great video. I'll also add something from my own experience here like others did. I started playing Verdant Moon around the time the weapon rework was added. The game had an awesome community and everything was well documented on more than 1 wiki, so it was simple to get started. I made a faction of my own and met a lot of people who I am still in contact with, sadly not long after, the popularity started declining and there was a period where barely anyone was playing. Today, there are times when activity peaks at almost 2 semi-full servers, so the game is still playable and I often see new players, though I don't know how many of them stay. I hope VMR will be the revival of the game we are all waiting for.
I remember that my first exposure to Verdant Moon was from BeanBoi's video. First time playing was so cool. I Really enjoyed it, my favorite weapons were push daggers and sword. And i met alot of interesting people! (Crabulon Cult) Love the video!

I miss playing with all my friends. We ran a faction called Heavenhold and would jump strangers and each other just to have fun and would be chill after. We would all dress the same and there would be constant Levantase arcanas flying everywhere lol. You knew the ganks were fun when you had a group of 5+ people in one outfit jumping each other. The Pomu Ganks will always live on. Phenomenal video! Thanks for letting me reminisce about the fun days!

This game I hold dearly to my heart. Playing this game every second of the day all the way back when covid and the pandemic was a thing was nothing but pure fun. Experiencing this game was almost ethereal akin to a fantastical dream that I sometimes dream about every so often. Running around the map seeing the wonders of that enchanting world and meeting friends and people was something I miss. Verdant Moon may be my favorite game on Roblox. I can't remember quite well, but I think I started playing the game about a year ago. I loved everything about it, and the fact that barely any players were on it made it so much more special. The lack of players really fits the whole post-apocalyptic vibe and abandoned setting of the game with The Song. In a way, The Song reminds me of the mass bans. Terra causing the destruction of the world, in which few remain, would correlate to the mass bans and how not much players remain in the game anymore. It's not just a game, it's a story. The places, music, vibe, lore, it's as if poetry was a game itself. I remember first playing the game and exploring the map, thinking I've seen everything, only to find The Embrace, The Hidden Land, and covenant locations. Sunlit Respite (the bard covenant place), will always be my comfort place, even if I'm in the shadow covenant. Nonetheless, It's as if The Song became a reality, Terra sang, and now few players remain, scurrying around Silver Woods not in groups, but alone.
I could talk about Verdant Moon for hours, because I've never seen a game on Roblox as special as this one. It makes you think how fast something can be abandoned, something that you thought would never die out. Something that they thought would never fall to destruction. It almost makes you wonder how long it'll be till OUR Earth is like that. When buildings are covered in vine, smoke plagues the streets, homes are in pieces, and most of all, when humanity is but a remnant of the past.
After years, grown up, I haven't really took realisation of game, I've been that's clueless soul, wandering and getting no knowledge, like an empty head, sad to know V.M is got purged, and the halo forbidden ability.
literally my first experience of playing this game was me spawning in with a sword, getting attacked by a random dude with spells and somehow I won because I could do M1s better and that’s it after that it gave me motivation to grind this game so thanks to that random fella
Finja, the fool, I truly love verdant moon. Coming from over 1.1k hours on deepwoken (yes I know I’m a no life) switching over to verdant again after so long has truly been one of the greatest experiences I’ve had in a long time on Roblox. Even though the community is slowly dying, it allows you to get to know almost everyone in the small but dedicated playerbase almost as if it’s a cc game. Everything down to exploring the map to learning the ins and outs of pvp (wheel main through and through 😤) and even the tedious but oddly rewarding grind of pve has allowed me to slow down and start to enjoy gaming again. I used to play games for the community with my irl friends but somewhere along the line I guess I got lost (deepwoken) and it’s almost like verdant has become a new home to me.
I'm glad to see you're enjoying verdant moon, I wish you were there to experience it's glory days. As said by many others, it seems kind of accurate that the game is semi-dead with the passionate verdant moon enthusiasts left, as the emptiness kind of fits the lore of the game.
@@CiibrCat i regret not playing more back then, i only hopped on occasionally when my friend who was actually really into the game at the time would ask me to play or to show me something (he got ms and wanted to show me 💀) other than that though i never really got too deep into learning the combat until very recently
i played verdant moon back when it was released and man i had so much fun i got maxed near instantly but i haven't played it in a long while now might go see it again depending on how much has changed
it was truly incredible it is a piece of me, i started playing the game while waiting for deep and in the end i sticked for it instead of the other one, i started playing at the very start of the game runing around didnt know what to do, i came back from time to time and one day i simply decided to explore and explroed i did this world was incredible truly incredible it amazed me how much work they had put inside the build, and the mechanics it also made me start being a dev, (a very important part of my life as of right now) and one thing led to another, i was the 27 virtue obtener, (am felxing) it was incredible, i pvped a lot way too much and i eventualy left and i went back to it abnout 3 month ago and it was incredible ther were conquest things and it was just such a great game and it sticks to my mind til this very day i still from time to time play it to somewhat take a break from my life enter enter this game these memorys i had the friends i made, it was truly incredible i love and loved this game see you all in rewrittened btw i have one last thing to say: SPEAR MAIN WILL RISE BACK AGAIN THE BEST WEAPON EVER
I played vm since release and played everyday, got 10 prestieges, and was involved in the community. Eventually i quit after the lack of updates and the removal of arcana (only tjing that kept me on). The immersion of ur first playthrough hits so hard and I want that feeling back so bad, even when I went to deepwoken and played my first playthrough it didn't hit as hard and I really don't know why. I don't know if it was the music, the map, thr weapons, the monsters, all of that, I have no clue. I missed that charm and even went as far as trying out the new vm remake by saelent and some other devs but it just didnt hit as hard and thr fact there was no release confirmed just made me not want to follow the project. The remake honestly didny capture the same broken world slowly dying feel but instead made a more of a warzone/battleground feel instead. I hope that the game they're working on actually manages to capture that feeling of og vm, but rn I highly doubt it.
Damn, watching this really put me back on 2021, I have no words other than I did everything I could do? A ton of nostalgia makes me want to create a new account to play the game again but VM:R is coming, and I don't have that much free time in my life anymore lol
I regret finding this game only yesterday, i've had a lot of fun so far and i can't wait to try out VM:R if it still is being developed, and even though this game is already dead / few players still play it, there are no exploiters , which surprises me, as most dead game usually have lots of exoloiters, but this one doesn't.
Wishing you well on a future UA-cam career! If you'll accept any criticism, I do have a small tip - the music tended to overpower your voice a little bit, making it a bit harder to understand you. Lower the music volume, or make your voice louder, maybe? Regardless, you've earned a sub from me!
I just prestiged to 10th, which is i finally quit from verdant moon though... Looking forward for the Rewritten one! but yeah, back in the days the game was on front page but now that is almost dead due to not getting updates... i guess the torch goes to Rewritten team. I also enjoyed the lore and the environment building too. Environment part is kinda underrated for me...
verdant moon was a real gem, such a shame it got abandoned. my only real complaint about the game was the sin and virtue auras being permanent. also needing to progress them to be fully competitive but thats more of a personal complaint. wonder what happened to illtria, ive heard about some allegations or some shit but never anything concrete.
Its been a while since i play Verdant moon i remember that scythe model(im a scythe main)the thing i do that time is just pvp with 400 ping and explore stuff. Its a pretty good game and also because of this game music it makes me watch rewrite despite i don't play the visual novel tho maybe just going to watch other play it
Only reason I'm not looking forward to VM:R is because they won't use the rewrite ost. Like if they could make something that could even compare to it.
Like honestly, verdant moon is the whole reason why I found about Rewrite (My favorite anime/vn/fiction of all time), and I don't think it will be verdant moon if it's without the Rewrite ost, Rewrite OST is basically one of the most iconic things of Verdant Moon, and it's very disappointing to know that they going to use newly composed OST instead (I highly doubt it could come close to the feeling that all Rewrite songs give)
I was never apart of the good days, although i do know a good amount of people, mainly blade runners, Awakened, and Last Fragments of War. I joined so I could do conquest, i wanted to fight even if i was good, although i found it disappointing how easily my team quits fighting them. They never attemlted tl fight them, and ultimately let them get the win. The game eventually got boring for me, because I felt there wasn't a challenge for me and nobody would ever help me with KON (except for a few people, those damn chads) Ultimately im ready for VM:R
@@incvrsion319 it’s a song from the rewrite ost, but you can find it if you search for “verdant moon silver woods”. The original song should be in the description or comments of one of the vm reuploads.
Btw im pretty sure the halo thing was jut part of the reason, the other reason is becausse with half of the evidence on the allegations of iltria being a predator, saelent didn't trust her anymore and wanted the game to die, which subsequently be cause of the allegations led iltria to leave the platform. Then it was found out the evidence wasnt complete and iltria wasnt actually a groomer, she jut frequently vented to some minor. Correct if im wrong
All due to that idiot, Sealant wanted the game to die out bc he didn't like being a mod under the control of a retired dev, Iltria so after iltria retired and left the discord server he went on and accused her of grooming people in verdant moon, and started banning people who played the game under the excuse of "not supporting a game made by a groomer" The actual reason he did that is bc he wanted to make his own verdant moon where he controls everything with no one above him. That's why he killed verdant moon and rewritten it all by himself. Poor iltria trusted that power hungry idiot. Iltria is no groomer, she was no awful person.
List of things I forgot:
A VERY important part of the lore explanation:
after the events of the song of distraction Aeon’s like “I’m not having any of this” and creates husks (called dissonants) (which is what you play as in the game) and sends them down to earth for no purpose but to kill then give him all of your experience so he can combat the song because apparently it’s still being sung ( rebirthing )

i love your videos dude
♥
literally my first experience of playing this game was me spawning in with a sword, getting attacked by a random dude with spells and somehow I won because I could do M1s better and that’s it
after that it gave me motivation to grind this game so thanks to that random fella
honestly this was and till now is still the game which has my favorite pvp mechanics
4:52 what was the background music? sounds like made in abyss ost or sth

Yooo you were in my old faction, i miss those good times when verdant moon was getting updates
@@finja8896 i see
i played verdant moon back when it was released and man i had so much fun
i got maxed near instantly but i haven't played it in a long while now
might go see it again depending on how much has changed
it was truly incredible it is a piece of me, i started playing the game while waiting for deep and in the end i sticked for it instead of the other one, i started playing at the very start of the game runing around didnt know what to do, i came back from time to time and one day i simply decided to explore and explroed i did this world was incredible truly incredible it amazed me how much work they had put inside the build, and the mechanics it also made me start being a dev, (a very important part of my life as of right now) and one thing led to another, i was the 27 virtue obtener, (am felxing) it was incredible, i pvped a lot way too much and i eventualy left and i went back to it abnout 3 month ago and it was incredible ther were conquest things and it was just such a great game and it sticks to my mind til this very day i still from time to time play it to somewhat take a break from my life enter enter this game these memorys i had the friends i made, it was truly incredible i love and loved this game see you all in rewrittened
btw i have one last thing to say: SPEAR MAIN WILL RISE BACK AGAIN THE BEST WEAPON EVER
this game was still is and will always be an expericence
i made friends overseas with this game because how fun it is to play with friends/faction member
YO man, it's been a year. Hope you doing alright (if you remember me from VM TFA). Stay blessed brother!
Oh my god, Rain! Good to know you're still around. Hope to see you in VMR!
I used to play it ages ago, seems i missed alot watching this video
Damn, watching this really put me back on 2021, I have no words other than I did everything I could do? A ton of nostalgia makes me want to create a new account to play the game again but VM:R is coming, and I don't have that much free time in my life anymore lol
I regret finding this game only yesterday, i've had a lot of fun so far and i can't wait to try out VM:R if it still is being developed, and even though this game is already dead / few players still play it, there are no exploiters , which surprises me, as most dead game usually have lots of exoloiters, but this one doesn't.
The game was very strictly moderated before the fallout, and there is an anticheat system, which is why there are basically no cheaters
@@CiibrCat oh alright, what about VM:R? is it still being developed / is public?
@@Michael-vk6py it isn’t public, but is periodically open for testing in the discord server. discord.gg/verdantmoon
Verdant moon rewritten unfortunately won't be the same hopefully the devs will make that a good thing
Hopefully you won't smash any more keyboards when it comes out 😁
Wishing you well on a future UA-cam career! If you'll accept any criticism, I do have a small tip - the music tended to overpower your voice a little bit, making it a bit harder to understand you. Lower the music volume, or make your voice louder, maybe?
Regardless, you've earned a sub from me!
thank you for your feedback! I did notice that the music was a bit unbalanced while editing the video. I'll try harder to balance it better next time!
if verdant moon was released today it would probably be popular
I just prestiged to 10th, which is i finally quit from verdant moon though... Looking forward for the Rewritten one!
but yeah, back in the days the game was on front page but now that is almost dead due to not getting updates... i guess the torch goes to Rewritten team. I also enjoyed the lore and the environment building too. Environment part is kinda underrated for me...
I found this game like a day ago, im so sad i didnt nanage to find it earlier on its prime :(
verdant moon was a real gem, such a shame it got abandoned. my only real complaint about the game was the sin and virtue auras being permanent. also needing to progress them to be fully competitive but thats more of a personal complaint.
wonder what happened to illtria, ive heard about some allegations or some shit but never anything concrete.
@@cakedrew same. I think most of the information is gatekept
@@srlorenzo1517 I was really disappointed about this too, but i like that they're trying to be original.
was so fun to get ganked while i was trying to peacefully explore best game of all time

Most of the music used in Verdant Moon comes from Rewrite (a visual novel) and Made In Abyss (an anime)

@@CiibrCat what u mean you mean its coming soom?
Thank you verdant moon.

how do you show time played on a game?
A google extension called ropro
Awesome job on this.
Thank you, Lithcri!
The game eventually got boring for me, because I felt there wasn't a challenge for me and nobody would ever help me with KON (except for a few people, those damn chads)
Ultimately im ready for VM:R
Whats the song at the very start? Would really appreciate it
@@incvrsion319 it’s a song from the rewrite ost, but you can find it if you search for “verdant moon silver woods”. The original song should be in the description or comments of one of the vm reuploads.
@@CiibrCat earned a new sub, thanks for the fast reply, well put vid as well although im late 😅

lol
If you know about rogue lineage would you say that this was your rogue? (rblx game that took too much time out of ur day for awhile)
Absolutley
Btw im pretty sure the halo thing was jut part of the reason, the other reason is becausse with half of the evidence on the allegations of iltria being a predator, saelent didn't trust her anymore and wanted the game to die, which subsequently be cause of the allegations led iltria to leave the platform. Then it was found out the evidence wasnt complete and iltria wasnt actually a groomer, she jut frequently vented to some minor. Correct if im wrong
that clears it up for me, thank you
Why did this game have to die?
nah bro peak vm was like september 2021 - 2022
Exactly
I got banned and can't play it anymore
:(
but rewritten will come soon
Thought this video was great but then I heard the LoR music 🔥
vedart mon 😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭
All due to that idiot, Sealant wanted the game to die out bc he didn't like being a mod under the control of a retired dev, Iltria so after iltria retired and left the discord server he went on and accused her of grooming people in verdant moon, and started banning people who played the game under the excuse of "not supporting a game made by a groomer"
The actual reason he did that is bc he wanted to make his own verdant moon where he controls everything with no one above him.
That's why he killed verdant moon and rewritten it all by himself.
Poor iltria trusted that power hungry idiot.
Iltria is no groomer, she was no awful person.
what a nice video dude
