That makes sense though, cause as an Amaura, it hasnt evolved or "grown up" enough to learn any ice type moves. Both Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are rock / dragon so ice type moves are devastating to them. Taking out the only other large dinosaur Pokémon that knows how to kill you in one hit with an ice beam seems a smart move.
Plus it's a reference to how scientists believe that large theropod dinosaurs didn't hunt fully grown sauropods. They were too large and powerful for them to take down, so they instead went after the juveniles, which were still pretty big.
Honestly the idea of Tyrantrum with a fur coat is terrifying There's nothing than a 9ft tall king of the dinosaurs pimped out with feathers around its mane walking up to you like you owe it money
I love the gen 3 fossils so much. Cradily looks cute but sinister, in a good way. Armaldo on the other hand is one of my absolute favorite Pokemon ever, it looks super duper cool and weird at the same time, and its shiny is so damn cool. Also, they are based on very interesting concepts.
If we ever see more paradox pokemon in the future, if we get a paradox form of Areodactyl, it should have a roaring moon thing going on, but instead of being covered in spiky rocks, he should be colored like it's shiny, and it's legs should also be wings.
