Hey Isaac, great video, nicely paced narrative & overall good production, love the music to, not to loud & calming, no way would i be putting that clutch back in my motor, lookin forward to your next update, hope Lee is enjoying himself...Cheers.
Isaac, no way you don't have your own YT channel already?? That was an excellent video. Like a pro. So how is it, doing the mechanical work and shooting video too? What about that clutch? It looked like a piece of swiss cheese when it got to you and yet you still had to take a bit more out. I would loved to have seen it all taken apart. Lee will be very proud of the job your doing. Excellent!! Alan from NC, USA
If that clutch was that far out,i'd be taking that back. There's no way i'd put that in a car,one or two holes maybe but thats just ridiculous.I'd much prefer adding weight to the other side,a quick tig kinda thing.
Man! That clutch looks horrible! It's hard to believe a new part would be that far out. With the vibration that would have made, it would drive a non suspecting shop crazy chasing that one down.
It's not...his balancing contraption is a mile out...never been calibrated. How can a new Cosworth crank need balancing and not just out by a little bit? Time and time again he removes tons of material because of that thing...wants putting in the scrap
Lee chilling at Centreparcs...Isaac holding the fort and doing a fine job once again. Interesting weatching that last motor strip. Interesting subject and an unusual piece of equipment as well.
Great work Isaac. Great video. I think those clutches that require a hundred holes drilled in them must have some kind of manufacturing fault. They shouldn't be that far out. I think they should be returned to the manufacturer for replacement or go for a different brand /style / type of clutch. There is something not right about them.
There has to be a neater way to balance the clutch than a bunch of holes, it just looks a mess and professional jobs whatever they are should never look like a mess. Maybe instead of drilling a hole all the way through that more holes are drilled but not not all the way through and the holes are then plugged with paste so they are invisible. I would certainly check the balance machine's calibration first.
Cheers Isaac me old under sized big end. That Clutch Cover can’t be right, it’s like a Cullenda!. Just spot weld thin Metal squares on the opposite Circumference then Grind to suit. Get another Clutch Cover and start again, you can’t fit that. See you on the next one.
Done well with this one, Isaac. That clutch cover was complete swiss cheese (before you even got to it). I really wouldn't fancy still using that tbh - are you guys going to recommend the owner gets a new one?
That clutch cover had been poked more times than a lady of the night ! Surely the cover makers get them in the ballpark of being balanced? That just suggests no checking of balance at the factory......
Interesting that it was consistently 20 thou out🤔 So simple question: how often should yourselves or anyone else have their balancing machines calibrated or verified? Isaac, buddy, ( I don't want to sound like your mum but) get some gloves on when you're stripping down engines - with all that horrible old used engine oil, or it will do nasty things to your skin as you get older.
I liked this one, well done Isaac you are a natural. Just one thing, when you show stuff to the camera just hang on a sec or two extra so we see it clearly.
Great video Issac. Hope thumb gets better. You should really get into habit of wearing gloves if you can. I would trust you guys with my engine when the time comes.
Isaac while Lee's away take some photos of your boring and honing equipment , then take them to college a show the boys how you produce oval bores ! Kit from Down Under
Lee/Isaac, was only thinking that I'd like to see small sections of timelapse in the Breakdown And Build-up phases. Lee does a good job of explaining the individual rationale and machining iobs - seeing things like the sump and oil pickup being taken off, and breaker barring the big end bolts undone is worth seeing as a processing now and then. Good videa, thanks.
Just leave Isaac to it when you’re on holiday, Lee - it’ll do you good to relinquish some control and trust the boy. No need to get involved in signing off at the end.
Isaac nailed it! Some comedy sound FX would be great! The squeaky hammer on The Skid Factory is spot on. How about the sound of an A10 Warthog cannon when you get the grinder out. make the noise on Project Binky was cool.
You could make Jhon into a great character. Bit like the Vampire on the show 'The IT Crowd' Could get an extra in and hang from the ceiling polishing a crank. Have ya noticed its around 4:20PM
Hello first commitment I have built the lotus carlton engines and the then lotus current engines its so hard to believe poor engines have now luv or thoughts will always treasure the great times when lotus was at its best!,gutted when gm pulled the plug was progressing well unfortunately I and many great people got laid off!.that's lotus 😢twice I got made redundant 😢. Anyway great to see you guys doing the best as possible Stewart.
Good work Isaac. Pardon my ignorance but why did they turn the clutch cover into Swiss cheese? Couldn’t they have just added weight to the opposite side? I would think that drilling all those holes would have weakened the clutch cover.
Hi I know the crank parts were out of balance individually but did you check them as a fully assembled unit first, I know some company balance it as fully assembled unit, so the assembly unit parts would be out of balance if checked individually. Great video
The first shop should have seen how bad the cover was and got another either from another brand or another from same supplier if that ones still well out something bad is going on with that brand imo
Hi Issac when Im balancing my motorbike wheels if it need a lot of balance weights I move the tyre around the rim to match the tyre and wheel for better weight balance so I use less balancing wieghts. Have you tried repositioning the fly wheel or clutch plate so the weight is moved to a more balanced position before drilling.
Used engine oil is carcinogenic. It should not be in contact with skin and therefore suitable protective gloves should always be worn when handling 'dirty' engines.
A chap I worked with was diagnosed with scrotum cancer at a young age, always washed his hands pluss barrier cream. Health and Safety investigation was the rag he had to wipe most muck of his hand like the rest of us was always put in your overall pockets, oil soaking into clothes and was resting against your scrotum through the working day.
Hi Lee, just a quick question for you?? I was just wondering having the crank+flywheel & clutch, pistons and conrod balanced. Does this make the engine run smoother or give it more bhp. Or is it a bit of both??
Excellently narrated and produced Isaac, well done.
You're a natural Isaac, good footage and explanation of what you're doing 👏
way to go Isaac, nicely paced narrative and overall production. Better than that moany bloke.
Sounds like the moany bloke, just a happier more handsome version of Lee lols
😂
Well done Isaac, keeping the wheels turning as it were. Hope your enjoying the rest Lee? Stay well.
What a natural Isaac is. Looking forward to the rest of the week.
Hey Isaac, great video, nicely paced narrative & overall good production, love the music to, not to loud & calming, no way would i be putting that clutch back in my motor, lookin forward to your next update, hope Lee is enjoying himself...Cheers.
I can not believe how much has been taken of that clutch cover don't you think the makers would get them right ,thanks for the video

Lee needs to get Isaac to do more of these. The lad has talent.
Never seen a clutch with so many holes. Great video too
Well well well Isaac, looks like we have a new producer! Let Lee know he could take a couple of more weeks off.👋👌
Lee chilling at Centreparcs...Isaac holding the fort and doing a fine job once again. Interesting weatching that last motor strip. Interesting subject and an unusual piece of equipment as well.
Lee better bring you a stick of rock back for running the show in his absence.
Great work Isaac. Great video.

Well done Issac nice to have an honest, unbiased, factual video for once please keep them coming, such a refreshing change.
That clutch cover might whistle with all those holes.
Nice one Issac..keeping the place running..hope Lee is paying you extra...👍👍
Cheers Isaac me old under sized big end. That Clutch Cover can’t be right, it’s like a Cullenda!. Just spot weld thin Metal squares on the opposite Circumference then Grind to suit. Get another Clutch Cover and start again, you can’t fit that. See you on the next one.

That clutch cover was complete swiss cheese (before you even got to it). I really wouldn't fancy still using that tbh - are you guys going to recommend the owner gets a new one?
Great video Isaac, you need a payrise. Cheers.
What a brilliant young man Isaac is, he's a credit to the company
When was the last time your balancer was calibrated it looks like it’s older than me and that’s really old
I wonder that same thing
Looking forward to the Vauxhall engine rebuild. If it's a C20 XER, it's a very rare 160bph engine!! Cool video Issac!
That clutch cover had been poked more times than a lady of the night ! Surely the cover makers get them in the ballpark of being balanced? That just suggests no checking of balance at the factory......
Lee might have to come back from holiday early with the top notch video work Isaac is doing - he might be out of a job !
Issacs First Musical engine strip montage , nice
Interesting that it was consistently 20 thou out🤔 So simple question: how often should yourselves or anyone else have their balancing machines calibrated or verified?
Isaac, buddy, ( I don't want to sound like your mum but) get some gloves on when you're stripping down engines - with all that horrible old used engine oil, or it will do nasty things to your skin as you get older.
Balancing parts must be a satisfying job.
I liked this one, well done Isaac you are a natural. Just one thing, when you show stuff to the camera just hang on a sec or two extra so we see it clearly.

Brilliant mate! Great video. Well filmed and explained! A credit to Lee and Barum Engines. Keep it up!
Isaac while Lee's away take some photos of your boring and honing equipment , then take them to college a show the boys how you produce oval bores !
Kit from Down Under
Well done Issac! A natural behind the camera. Lee can be sacked now 😂😂😂

Great video Issac, Lee as got the sack LOL.

More Isaac less owner, nice to have the more positive spin on life than constant doom and gloom!
Yeah he's a dismal bastard
Lee you're out of a job mate 😅. Well done Isaac real professional video.
Bloody hell this the first time i have seen how you chaps do that job amazing

Move over Lee, we have a natural in Isaac, even found some musak AND Johns legs!
shame lee had stick his nose in at the end
How do you calibrate your balancer?
Who's still alive to calibrate a old relic like that .!!. No one would touch the pile of junk . I would bet it's not accurate at all . !!!
Who needs lee ah 😂
Top Man Isaac, well explained and a difficult position to follow Lee. Well Done 👍
Well done Issac ,top video
Great vid Issac, good to see the tear down but surprised your not wearing gloves, as engines are real messy stuff in this state
Nice work Isaac
Nice work Isaac. Enjoyable watch. Switch off work mode and do good family Lee.
Good work Isaac. Pardon my ignorance but why did they turn the clutch cover into Swiss cheese? Couldn’t they have just added weight to the opposite side? I would think that drilling all those holes would have weakened the clutch cover.
Nice video, Isaac! 👏👏👏
Nice job Isaac.
Excellent video!
Oooh the dreaded rear crankshaft scroll oil seal that never lasts long before they start leaking.
Great video Isaac, well done. Hope you have a good restful holiday Lee and stay well.
Those are some crazy looking dumb bells
great job isaac
How can a clutch be so far out, as it is a pressing unless the actual material is of a different thickness.
Well done Isaac...😁😁
Cordialement,
Great job Isaac, always pays to check other peoples work if you dont know who did it.
i would have change that clutch plate its obvious its defected and should fail QC 1 for the bin
The best video to date
@robertburrows6612. It was until Lee put his mug in at the end.
Well done Isaac...
Great video Isaac nice to see a good old XE
Well done Isaac!
Hi I know the crank parts were out of balance individually but did you check them as a fully assembled unit first, I know some company balance it as fully assembled unit, so the assembly unit parts would be out of balance if checked individually. Great video
Nice one Isaac 👍
Well done Issac
A natural
Good job Isaac love the vid bud 👍
Why did my clutch explode?
Great video from Isaac. I'm afraid you're redundant Lee :-))
The c20xe looks very glittery inside
Great job
Thanks Issac.
I wonder if it was balanced as an assembly by the previous shop 🤔
Nice one! 👍
You could do a video of engine disassembly & reassembly to that music and you'd get views
Isaac is doing a great job ..Nice one Isaac 👍👍👍👍
Issac for new management of the UA-cam channel!! Let’s vote!!
Inline engines require bobweights equal to the weight of just the big end. Otherwise your balance job is not a balance job.
well done lads, he's learned a lot since starting with you. #cudos
The first shop should have seen how bad the cover was and got another either from another brand or another from same supplier if that ones still well out something bad is going on with that brand imo
Really enjoyed this one mate. Now get a better Camera :) I say this with Love . Cheers.

Hi Lee, just a quick question for you?? I was just wondering having the crank+flywheel & clutch, pistons and conrod balanced. Does this make the engine run smoother or give it more bhp. Or is it a bit of both??
When balancing a crank, is it better to grind material off of crank, rather than drilling wee holes into it??
We still getting updates when boss is away ❤
Nice Video Issac.
Isaac top Man.. Hoping a pay rise for taking control of the Business 🤬
Well done issac, nice vlog who needs lee 😂😂🤣only joking lee😊
Could it have been balanced assembled with flywheel and clutch?
Potentially, had crossed my mind
That was really good 👌
That's a heavily modded sump.
Nice music the end @ what is it?
Can someone in Barum engines try to find out why my query and request for a quote was ignored....
