I flew Los Angeles to Auckland 7 Months ago. Best flight ever, as for the mid flight snacks and drinks no problem ordering on touchscreen. The kitchen is only opened when they have finished in flight service. 😊
Mood lighting will certainly give me headache if I ever fly that route. Food looked good. The best part was wall paper in the lavatory and the music of course.

Re the food and drink offering.. there are two meal services and on the ife screen is an on demand food and drink option. You can order drinks and snacks to be delivered to your seat at any time.
It’s turned off for periods of time. To give the crew time to eat (yes flight attendants need to eat too) and clean the bathrooms etc. it’s also only turned on after meal service.
I adore NZ or did until nothing served for 9 hours. Maybe cutting down on crew allotment and rest? Dunno. at least there's something in the galley but it's a tough route. a YVR departure on NZ is much better.

The kitchen IFE was also “closed” so I couldn’t order anything to my seat. Had to wake up neighbours to hop out and get some water from the rear hahaha 😅
I went to the Gold Coast in Australia on Air New Zealand through Auckland an NZ7. I'm 5'9" and sat on the aisle and was fine. On the 777 there is a black box under the seats for the entertainment system which takes up some space. I found the meals to be filling and didn't miss the snack service.
