Jesus endorses secularism
Well, if Jesus is endorsing his content then ...
Nice to see you. Good luck with becoming a lawyer, and wish you a happy new year in Portland.
Thanks, Jesus.
Jesus Christ really does exist, but without proper evidence, he still approves of the skepticism. What a legend.

A self fulfilling prophecy.
peopleon his of thousands killed and atheistan Stalin wasn't Actually
Actually Stalin killed thousands of his own people and he was an Atheist
The wrench: Stalin, like many dictators, killed many because he was an irrational, narcissist madman. Not because he was an atheist. Believers, on the other hand, have a history of killing in the name of religion.
Even when I was Christian I knew that all of this extreme worship was just ridiculous and a waste of time.

This is exactly how I felt when I visited the Vatican. The merch was everywhere.
I regard the Vatican as a museum collection of fraudulent religious merch.
@@LudosErgoSum Total hypocrisy, do as I say not as I do.
Yeah, the throngs of merchants selling catholic tchotchkes, made in China. My favorite was a big lenticular picture of Jesus on the cross, close up. Depending on how you held it, the eyes would open and close. It was hilarious and depressing.
I left St Peter's Basilica feeling very depressed, angry and saddened at the magnitude of the vulgar ostentation created in the service of swindling and exploiting the masses with a grand show of power, so that those poor, illiterate people over the centuries had no choice but to stand in awe of the facade that is christendom or be obliterated for not believing. Poisons everything indeed!
Same for me when I visited Fatima on a tour of Portugal. The shops selling religious tat left me unmoved and depressed.
I was in Jerusalem in 2004 and I saw exactly what you did. It’s Disney Jesus everywhere, be sure to get the t-shirt and commemorative mug.
and the Mickey ears with the crucifix on top!
Sry I ruined your 69 likes
It's obvious why Hollywood always depicts the story as they do; and their interpretations haven't helped any fields...
Anyway, with the crucifixion site being so close to the tomb, which is cost effective, no way any grave robbers theory could be why the body was missing; no way there wasn't constant eyes the entire time - this only supports the accounts written in the Acta Pilate; it also makes sense as burying the body any distance away would only bring droves of mourning and angry masses that no leaders would want; the body surely wouldn't make it to the burial site, the city would be brought down like Jesus predicted.
Now that we see why the body had to buried close to where the crucifixion took place, why would a real tomb actually exist at all for an imaginary figure? Yea, because we know where Thor and Odin are buried, right? The people back then coined all the terms like corruption, conspiracy, and control, no one trusted their leaders, everyone was stealing to the point the empire would crumble, drawing penises on everything was cliché; therefore:
Had the story of Jesus indeed been just a story, no way any of that stuff even gets built in the 1st place; I mean, the elite only wanted him dead because they despised him. If it was a fraudulent story, there would be countless evidence showing how it was a 2000 year old Disneyland, defrauding it would be commonplace in all Roman literature - instead of carving weeners in stone everywhere, you'd see carved mockings of the crucifixion everywhere - those people were allowed to call bull and loved to, they didn't...
Deductive Reasoning So you ration that because they drew penises that it must be true, even if the chapel he rested on was built millennia after he died.
@@deductivereasoning4257 How can you prove a random site that happens to be close to the story one is the "true" one?

Holy crap that “I don’t need a savior because I’m not lost, I don’t need to be fixed cause I’m not broken, and I don’t need a religious shepherd because I’m not a sheep” part was seriously super powerful
ArcJunkie never be a sheep correct stay true to yourself and what God wants from you
Speak for yourself! I was clearly born broken.
I'm not sure how this is powerful, it just sounds like denial. I used to watch Holy Koolaid when I was a fedora tipping atheist who wasn't alive long enough to know any better, but anyone with a brain understands God must exist, and although I believe that is the God of the Bible, you must at least assume there is something out there that created the universe. After all, it is only natural that there is a process which started energy/matter in a closed system universe of which no energy can enter or leave. Anyone who understands thermodynamics understands that something cannot come from nothing. My main skepticism of this argument was the origin of God, however I realized the answer is quite simple. If God created the universe, it's safe to assume that the systems within the closed system do not necessarily apply outside of it. I also find it difficult to explain why hundreds of Christians went to their bloody doom in the early first century claiming they saw Christ risen after three days. I mean, I could understand a few people or a few false accounts, but hundreds of people all going to their brutal death at the end of Roman spears and crucifixions (which did exist historically despite what some have said...) for a lie created by ancient desert dwelling people so they can extort shekels from the populace? What good are shekels if you're dead? And the reason I even bring this up is because these accounts aren't the same as some Christian going to his death in Palestine in the modern day, these Christians claimed to have actually seen Christ raise from the dead.

I felt those words strongly myself. Never mind the arrogance and zealotry from the other posters. Wolves don’t lose sleep over the opinions of sheep.

Enjoy and Travel The World! Facts I don’t believe in fairy tales
Over half the population still believes in things like gods, ghosts, psychic powers, speaking with the dead, and other such horse shit. @Enjoy and Travel The World! Do you know what indoctrination is ?
I was a U.N. Peacekeeper in Cyprus and on my vacation, I visited Egypt and the Holy Land as an atheist. Most of the people on the tour were very wealthy Evangelicals who took it very seriously. When people talk of books being written decades after Jesus died, or Holy Relics being tracked down after hundreds of years, I am reminded of Ronald Reagan. He was president in a time of incredible literacy. His time in office was covered by innumerable journalists, both print and television. His time in office ended about thirty years ago. The stories about his time as president vary so widely that you might almost think he was a fictional character. In one, he was the great communicator, firmly in charge and ruling over a great time in American history. In another, he was a disinterested, demented person who just wanted to watch westerns and had to be guided through every event like a trained puppy. Using movie techniques to have him stand on his mark and read from cue cards. Imagine the same events with an illiterate population and no television. How can we trust any of it.

@ConfusionFusion Thanks you for mass murdering children during illegal wars like Iraq and Afghanistan? What about the Vietnamese children burned to death with napalm? Or the torture of Innocent people based on a rumor? Each time a American vet commits suicide its justice for those Innocent people.
@Harry Denny Thanks for helping to make my point. Despite there being a really good record of who he was, people have radically different images of him. Conservatives think he was some kind of almost demigod and others think he was an easily manipulated, demented fool. Imagine the same scenario with an illiterate population and no T.V. or radio?

why is their god so late? our species is at least 200 000 years old. motherhood was pretty common at the age of 20 not so long ago. so at least 10 000 generations had no chance to know Da Trooth of Da Lawrd. roughly 100 generations had some chance to become christians. denying any chance of christianity is... weird from an allknowing, timeless god.
and why do they want said god in charge at all?? space daddy and junior are horrific monsters in their OWN books! not even the most horrible criminals are evil in their OWN books, they all need independent or hostile sources to show them as evil. the christian god (and many other gods) don't. based on their behaviour in their OWN books, I don't want those gods to manage an ant farm, let alone the universe. So why?
you probably won't be able to reason them outa their religion. because it was not reason and common sense what put them in that brainwashing BS.
but it might be entertaining / interesting.
@@istvansipos9940 if I can draw a few to use critical thinking or to study beyond the bible then that would be good enough for me. After all I came out and I was one for over 30yrs. So it's possible. The problem is, like all such nonsense, is people such as my sister, interpret however they choose within their own biases. Thankfully, the latest pope is a little more forward thinking however, he is still a believer on faith, as opposed to evidence. Yes, he accepts evolution but that's a big whoop, when they won't accept a woman's right to sovereignty over her own body. Considering the Roman Catholic church's history, it is disappointing to see anyone continue to choose such a world view.

Ive just discovered your channel today, loving your passion an enthusiasm.
Great video. I love the emotion you put into it.
I enjoyed my time in Israel. It was a lovely place with lots of diversity in topography, ethnicities, religions, and culture. But as has been noted, it was also very commercial in that all of the “holy” sites were peppered with souvenir stands. The only thing that I purchased was wine and a bunch of little plastic bottles that I filled with water from the Jordan River. Needless to say, gift giving was easy that holiday season.
Tbh I’m surprised a lot of my fellow atheists here are so negative about all of this in the comments? Maybe it’s just me, but I find the idea of learning about the history behind all of the mythological mumbo jumbo as a worthwhile thing to engage and learn of while romping around the place.
With religion, it brings other facets of what makes people and cultures who and what they are. I genuinely would not be surprised if for every token run of the mill believer that there’s probably quite a few wannabe archeology, sociology, anthropology, or historian visitors gawking at whatever else the place has to offer.
I mean all of this stuff is super duper old; it’s been around for a hell of a long time and still kicking. And that art and craftsmanship from all the paintings and gold thingies!! Maybe I’m easily impressed, but the fact that people just like us from who knows how long ago but with much less technology made them all so well is just really cool!
And even though I 100% agree on religion being a reason for how completely shit everything there is; I bet you my bottom dollar that mankind would find a way to be extraordinarily petty over something to the point where needless bloodshed goes down. I mean people in history always loose their greedy shit over any form gold takes, and as they say... money’s the route of all evil. 🤷🏻♀️

I live in Jerusalem and it’s just sad. Couldn’t have said it better myself- amazing video

Heresy!! Cabbage fart man is the one true profit!
See his power when you let him speak through you in the elevator, and I love how he availed himself to Koolaid. The one true prophet knows best
Plus, he's vegan.
Hi Burt Bachattack. Did you mean prophet? But never mind. Prophet = profit.
Not profit or prophet, but profart...
@A C Jack John has a God Which god would that be?
All gods are man made.
@Juan Santiago Salariosa What evidence are you referring to?
Asking for a friend...

@Juan Santiago Salariosa Then God needs a creator.
@@jamiearnold1711 I am reasonably confident that Juan Santiago Salariosa will be unconvinced by your valid and rational logical entailment. The mere fact that he advocates the teleological argument, illustrates his incapacity to correctly understand syllogistic deductive propositions.
@Juan Santiago Salariosa Who created god then ? there simple huh
You really help in getting people of different conviction come together. You are a class act.
Powerful and impassioned! Lovely stuff
I see you journeyed to batshit crazy land. Land of the abrahamic tribal war god. One of the best days of my life is when I became an atheist. I was agnostic for a long time that is until I met Aron Ra. Since I went atheist I haven't looked back.
Damn it, the chat cut off before I could make it clear I was joking and referring to MCU Thor at the end... 😅
I'm just glad that he paid his respects to Harambe, even if UA-cam doesn't allow dicks out.
Love this video! Well said!
Love this channel!!
How dare you make me cry over so much logic 😡
People killing themselves because of stupid rocks, it's so true it's painful 😔
"I felt like a time traveller or an alien looking in on a foreign species"

So, so ,so well put!!!
