ISS CONSTELLATION

The USS CONSTELLATION was a ship found adrift with only the half-crazed Cmdr. Decker on board. From the Star Trek original series episode "DOOMSDAY MACHINE" it's a ship I've always wanted to do and finally I have. I hope you like my take on it.
No, it's not an exact replica, I took a few liberties. Addind some damage, not adding some. That's why it's from the Mirror Universe, that explains the differances. :D

Neither this, nor the Romulan Firebird were very
well received by the modelling communkity.
I make too many changes I guess.
But I liked them.

Fun fact. The ISS Constellation appears as an escort ship for the Planet Killer alongside ISS Intrepid in Star Trek :Shattered Universe, mission, From Hell's Heart. My all time favourite mission from the game.

Great job bro' but I, think the left and right rear "corners" of the saucer should show more damage due to the exploding fronts of the warp nacelles... It was overdone in some other areas as well but I, love the overall look...

That is some insane deck building in there and I like the use of the "Spock Plant" in the warp engine. Good idea!

Thanks. I actually painted the individual rooms correct colours from the show, but after adding the weathering you can't see it. Glad you saw the Spock plant. Inside it is the wheel from the Smokey & the Bandit car. :) use what you got, right.

The only thing I didn't like was the missing Starfleet pennant on the starboard side of the engineering hull. Otherwise, fantastic.

Why did you use the mirror universe emblem on the bottom of the hull, instead of the Federation yellow dot?

You're the only one to notice that. Just my personal preference. I like using the Terran Empire logo. One of my favorite episodes. Who knows, maybe in the mirror universe that ship was destroyed by the planet killer, too.

Nice model, you definitely put a lot of work into it. However, just like the CGI remastered version of "The Doomsday Machine" episode, it is too damaged. Spock quoted "the entire bridge is damaged and uninhabitable, however the rest of the ship seems able to sustain life". With that type of damage and exposed decks, that quote would be definitively not be true.

Spock also stated that a starship was too small of an object for the planet killer to be attracted to.
But damnit , this is the mirror universe Constellation, so this version of Matt Decker is more obsessed in destroying that thing, at all costs even his own life, like the prime universe Decker.
