Hey guys! Today on my channel we are reacting to some choosing beggars being entitled during the pandemic! Entitled karens are EVERYWHEREl Entitled parents, entitled customers. There is no shortage of entitled people and they seem to be out in full force since the pandemic started. As an artist, I've experienced my fair share of choosing beggars. Everyone wants your art, but nobody wants to pay for it. Enjoy :)

That mask entitlement was no joke. My mom and I made nearly 1000 free masks during the first months of the pandemic. All of the materials were donated by really generous people in the community. They take a lot of time to make. The two of us could make about 10-20/ day really pushing hard all day long. Most went to hospitals and grocery stores and the extras were posted on social media and gone within minutes (like if the hospital asked for 35 and we made 40, the extra 5 would go up for grabs). We made it very clear that we were not taking orders for individuals. We were only taking orders for essential workers. One woman was in my inbox wanting 100 masks for her friends and family. That was more than hospitals were asking for. When I told her that (1) we weren't taking orders and (2) we couldn't make that much for a single order, she refused to take no for an answer. I finally had to block her. Other people were ridiculous asking for specific patterns and colors and sending me links to order the fabric on Amazon or eBay. Absolute insanity.

What is scary is the facts that masks worked shit for nothing. I appreciate what you did, I did it too, then found out they were worthless. That's what we all got for believing the bullshit that our government put out. They are all liars especially pharma, who made trillions, while we begged for scraps and lost our jobs. I work as a caregiver, had to comply with all the mandates, been exposed everyday and still have not caught the vid. No playing with them again, but I get thet the sheep will. 😢

I remember years ago, my mom worked for the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program and a boyfriend of one of her co-workers would collect money and buy gifts. He would come around before X-mas day and dress like Santa and give gifts out to the kids. One mom said, "Maybe next time you can bring a gift for me too!" He said, "Santa ain't that loaded."

I used to work in a Planned Parenthood Clinic many years ago and one of the mothers that'd go there yelled at my co-worker and told her that she pays our salary. My co-worker held up her paperwork where it states her insurance. Medi-Cal. Luckily, our manager heard the commotion and straightened her up on who pays our salary and who contributes to her Medi-Cal insurance. Plus, she doesn't have the right to verbally abuse us.

Decades ago my best friend and I worked in different businesses but in the same office building. She was a single mom with a 'revolving door' of live-in boyfriends, none of whom worked.
One year she started complaining how difficult things were and she didn't know how she'd be able to buy things for a nice Thanksgiving dinner....... my job paid me well, though I put in a lot of overtime and so I also got good bonuses.
On the Friday before Thanksgiving she mentioned she was going to stop at the market and try to buy a few things for the Thanksgiving dinner - I asked could I ride along too (I didn't own car as I lived near the office and walked or rode my bike).
Once at the market I rushed through the store buying up basic things: 10 pounds of potatoes, sweet potatoes, 10 pound bags of flour, yeast, different baking items, lots of canned vegetables, boxes of cereal, cartons of eggs and a big turkey -- Basic things for her holiday dinner but also to help her with holiday baking and try to stock up her pantry. All told I spent almost my whole bonus check of almost $300 (this was back in the early 1980's).
Went to her car to wait for her and when she came out she had a couple things - mainly frozen stuff, ice cream, lots of chips and cookies and the like. She asked why I bought so much groceries since I lived alone -- I smiled and told her it was for her and her family -- Call it an early Christmas present from me to her.
She was happy ---- Until the following Monday at work when she stopped by my office and said her kids liked most of the food I had bought but ......... her boyfriend said that next time I should just give them the cash because he didn't like 'poor people's food' ---She said the bags of rice and pasta had insulted him.........
Told her to tell her boyfriend not to worry --- I wouldn't insult him with 'poor people's food', again ........ Because my next bonus check would go into my bank and not their bellies..........
Yes that was a snarky remark on my part but I was insulted that her lazy, unemployed boyfriend would be so ungrateful and she would actually relay his message to me .

      @WomanRoaring 6 місяців тому +2

I did similar things for my best friend but she didn’t have live in boyfriends so she was just grateful. I don’t think your response was snarky, it was appropriate for someone being ungrateful you feed their kids and thier lazy boyfriend. I wouldn’t have helped my friend again if she said anything negative about my help.

Yesterday, while waiting for my bus in Seattle, two lovely gentlemen came up to people offering free masks and hand sanitizer. I thanked them and told them how appreciative I was. I hope that the end of the pandemic finds you well and able to find jobs. My son worked in the hospital operating room and worked throughout the pandemic. He did not get the vaccine, a long with most of the doctors, and almost all of his colleagues did get the vaccine. Each and every one of them had COVID to some degree or another although my son had a very mild case, some of his coworkers (including the fully vaccinated) got very ill and missed a great deal of time. Since he did not get the vaccination, my son was "resigned" because his natural immunity wasn't considered important at that point in time. Now patients can't get surgery, the hospitals are desperate for workers and the current workers are a mess. But since the board says that only the non-working vaccine will protect people from COVID in spite of the natural immunity providing four times the protection (estimated at this time). The pandemic has become a religion to some people and instead of accepting differing points of view, these fanatics are watching care deteriorate because they won't require their previous employees. This is an f****ed up system that power hungry people are now exploiting.

I'm an actual front line worker. My unit was a COVID ICU during the first wave and my unit is fast approaching to becoming a COVID ICU again (over the weekend alone we fill half way with COVID). I didn't take advantage of any of the free stuff offered except once when I forgot my wallet at home and desperately needed a coffee so I went to Starbucks. I can't believe the nerve of these people. People are sick, dying or become permanently disabled and they want to complain that the free stuff isn't good enough. SMH

Because the face masks are made of cotton, and you breathe, they get wet easily. Then your face mask has no protection effect. That's why I have so many masks. It's much easier to buy these face masks because you can wash them and use them again.
I'm not a fan of disposable masks because you can't wear them again. Once you wore them, you can't just throw them into a trash can but into a bio-waste bin, which we don't have.
Don't worry. I'm not selfish. I share those masks with others. Not only with my family, but also with my friends, neighbors who are like my family, and those who need them.
And to avoid another misunderstanding, I give them these masks for free. I never ask for a refund.

I use good quality quilting material for the outside of my masks, line them with cotton sheet material with the highest thread count (at least 800 thread count), and there's a layer of unbleached cotton batting too for extra filtering. I figure if I'm going to that much trouble, I'm using cute, fun fabrics and making them stylish. The design I use has a fold at the top and a nose wire so it doesn't fog up my glasses. It's soft, comfy, very breathable, and covers and fits well. 20 years ago, I had my own business doing custom sewing and alterations. I've been sewing for more than 50 years. My masks are well-made.
I offered to give some to anyone in my small rural community that needs one on our local FB page. I got a message from one "neighbor" who told me I am trying to kill people, because masks force them to breathe CO2, and all masks are dangerous. What rubbish! I had my oxygen checked at the doctor's office, and I was at 99%.
I offered, but I think I should try selling them now. I need the money, badly, but I wanted to help.

People demanded I make them one too, with pay (I'm talking like 20-30 bucks, not a lot for a piece of molten glass that I shape and spend literal money to stay in the hotshop to work on). I give them their pumpkins, they act like it's not good at all and walked away, avoiding me entirely until they magically quit. I never saw a dime. Couple of things. Thank you for the unbridled honesty and calling out low-thinking selfish assholes.
Subbed since your “old channel” gig.
    Keep up the great work.
Some people have uphill battles in life...processing information correctly, etc.
Those people do deserve patience and understanding.
But these entitled and/or social media influencer fucks? Keep calling them out!
You just straight out call out the selfish dipshits. Kudos, CD!
    I’ll keep following.

Thank you for the shout out regaurding making masks, they are hard to make. I am a Master seamstress. I gave and sold to save my biz too. still am etc. I take the time to custom make the 3D printed for those with foggy glasses and lipstick , as well as perfect fit. Every time someone buys one from a local seamstress you are keeping the hydro on and some food in the fridge. Just say NO to the mass produced ones. especially not from Canada. Cheers

Fogging is horrible, but a reality. I am not sure if anyone local does the same as you.
