    sir very well .you are great .sir i require some information from you.i have 3 phase AC motor draws current 22 Ampere and input voltage is 450 V .sir please suggest me either mosfet or SCR for this rating .i mean component which SCR or MOsfet will handle this.i am using only for switching purpose of motor

      Please do first Matlab study ( or some other program ) , test for all possible worst condition, then you will know specification of power device. That is the way spec are decided. If you are student then your guide will tell all possible worst conditions ( like max voltage, min voltage , max frequency, min frequency, on off periods, power loss transient and steady state, speed variation of motor, control philosophy, peak voltage and current across devices, protection co ordination to protect device ). If you can not do all these, ( It is just a hobby project) then take much much bigger power device ( current and voltage both ) and suitable heat sink and cooling and some protections.

      Remove gate pulse. It will be off only when current becomes zero. No off control is the disadvantage of the thyristor. If you want off at your wish at your time then select IGBT or MOSFET.

      You should see data sheet. Zener diode is already connected in mosfet generally. No extra zener is frequired.

      इसे वीडियो में मैंने thyristor और Triac का फर्क बताया है । आप वीडियो फिर से देखिए ।
      ट्रायक को गेट से off भी कर सकते हैं thyristor को नहीं कर सकते ।
      Triac का उपयोग आज से 20 साल पहले हम लोग train Locomotive Engine ki AC motor ke VFD में यूज करते थे । IGBT के आने के बाद उसका उपयोग बंद हो गया ।
