Or the massively underrated Zooropa or Pop. But yeah their prime years commercially were Joshua & Achtung I love Red Hill Mining Town from The Joshua Tree...it evokes the nostalgia & decay of a once prosperous town, due to economic changes, Bono's powerful & emotive tones are perfect for the lyrics in this song. & Acrobat from Achtung Baby is amazing & unusual in its rhythm So many to choose from but favourite all time U2 song is Stay (Faraway, So Close) - reminds me of someone long gone from my life...
One of the greatest songs of all time (in my humble opinion). My favorite U2 songs: 5. Where the Streets Have no Name 4. Bad 3. Pride 2. All I Want is You 1. One
U2 isn't my favorite band. One is my all time favorite song though. That bass line is super underrated, and there are multiple iconic guitar riffs in the song as well. Wish I could hear this song for the first time all over again. As soon as I heard the opening riff I was like "oh shit."
U2? Let's Go !!! So many DECADES of music here. You will not regret it. Back in 1991 and 1992 when I was in High School and this song was big, a group of students performed it. Do 'Mysterious Ways' next. Like TONIGHT ! *Javon* , when you react to videos do you have the lyrics in front on you?
Love this song! Love U2! I’m 66 and have listened to them since their first album in the late 1970’s. Seen them in concert three times....amazing live shows❤️❤️❤️
As a hardcore U2 fan, this was awesome to watch. I know the songs and his voice like my own mind and seeing someone listening to both for the first time, wow. And the bit about his voice making you want to listen what he's got to say! Nobody could have said that better! Sometimes i wish i could erase my memories and listen to these songs for the first time. And yes, they write their songs but usually is bono who writes the majority of them. Love that you loved it!
I've always enjoyed listening to U2, Bono is a wonderful singer and the band is great. You can't go wrong with whatever song you listen to next as they made wonderful songs. Take care and stay safe please everyone love and hugs and Peace to you all Mary-Ellen UK
U2 have some of the most amazing lyrics ever. I've seen people have already suggested some of their hits, I'd like to add Bullet the Blue Sky and the less known Exit, which still gives me goosebumps after so many years. BTW, I truly enjoyed your reaction :)
When Bono sings, he instantly create a big scale of space with height and depth in front of the audience. I would recommend “All I Want Is You” and “With Or Without You Rattle and Hum live version”
I love seeing folks discovering U2 for the first time! I'd definitely recommend watching a live performance, like the combo of Bad and Where the Streets Have No Name from their 2001 Elevation concert in Boston.
It’s a song about the band breaking up that ended up becoming about a million more things. Perfectly sums up the human experience. Easily my favorite song of all time.
The entire “achtung baby” album is amazing!!! I literally wore the cassette out on my Sony walkman while walking to and from classes during my undergrad when it came out!
U2 is a great group, they have many wonderful songs that I am sure have been recommend by others in their comments. Wonderful reactions from you once again Jayvee, Bono is a wonderful singer/songwriter and can never be underestimated. Thank you for once again playing a fantastic song I have forgotten, God bless you sweetheart. Take care and stay safe please everyone, love and hugs to you all Mary-Ellen UK
I think this is the 5th or 6th reaction in a row I've watched of your's, you pick some fabulous music to react to. I drove 8 hours to see U2 in concert in Chicago years ago, worth every mile driven. I was 12 when they hit the US with their ALBUM "War". I can't even pick a song to react to by them because they span decades and so much to choose from. New Year's Day and 11 O"Clock Tick Tock are the first 2 I recall then came Sunday Bloody Sunday which solidified them here. Beautiful Day, Elevation, Desire, Mysterious Ways, Vertigo, City of Blinding Lights, and Sometimes You Can't Make it on Your Own are just a handful to choose from lol.
Everyone has already mentioned the big hit songs of theirs but if you want to go deep into their catalog here is some of their best stuff that didn't get released as a single. One Tree Hill, Bad, Until the End of the World, Running to Stand Still, A Sort of Homecoming, The Unforgettable Fire, All I Want is You, God Part II, and When Love Comes to Town (with B.B. King). Also there is another version of this song where Mary J. Blige sings with them that honestly makes this version sound like a demo.
My favourite song of all time, I have listened to this basically everyday (and often more than once per day) since it’s released. This song will be played at my funeral.
All I Want Is You and Heartland are a must, from the Rattle and Hum album. City Of Blinding Lights Beautiful Day Vértigo An incredible live band with a huge catalogue of masterpieces.
This is a love song for the band as they were almost close to breaking up. "We're one, but we're not the same, we get to carry each other, carry each other."
One of my fav 90s songs and-as far as lyrics concerned-one of my all time favs ever. An 80s song that also has very moving lyrics you should react to is “This Must Be the Place” by Talking Heads! Different vibe but a very moving price of art.
The song was written about the band. They almost broke up but this song happened during recording Achtung Baby. They were jamming and Bono started to count. One love, two drinks, three....
I saw them live in 1987 for their Joshua Tree Tour. I was 15/16yrs old at the time. Absolutely amazing experience. Lots of great song suggestions of theirs have been shared. Their older stuff though... it was really special. “With or Without You “, “Where the Streets Have No Name”, “Sunday Bloody Sunday”, “(Pride) In the Name I’d Love”. So many awesome songs to choose from!
I commented on this reaction after my brother had just passed... it was his favourite song... we had our disagreements n it makes the words so much more powerful... one life with each other , sisters brothers... wish I had him back... I know we go thru day to day n annoy each other but please love your family n those dearest... you never know when they'll be taken from you... music is so powerful xxx
If you have to start with "One", then does the next one have to be "Two Hearts Beat As One"? I'm kidding. The two U2 songs that I recommend the most are "New Years Day" and "Pride in the Name of Love". The latter is a song about Martin Luther King Jr.
No, it's not just you, this song cuts like a knife, right to the heart. So bitter - and yet hopeful. How profoundly human is that? Your reaction brought me to tears. Thank you for sharing your heart with us.
U2 has so many great songs. Check out "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "New Year's Day", "Pride (In the Name of Love)", "Desire", "Beautiful Day", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". I could go on and on.
Omg! The Bono( singer) rabbit hole / U2 band. Such amazing music for gazillion years. Such an amazing singer writer and performer. Also does lots of charity work....more please. The rabbit hole is so long and great
I know "i still haven't found what im looking for" is a very played song and people call it overrated but it is my favorite because i relate to it and it gets me in the feels
U2 has so many greats song...Where the streets have no name.....I Still haven't found what Im looking for...… With or Without You are three songs I would suggest. All are amazing.
Thanks for doing U2! .....Check out GLORIA!...........It's often overlooked----one of their very earliest hits here..........and the video was a big hit when MTV was still pretty new...............The bandmembers all look so young.
If you’ve ever had an ex boyfriend, girlfriend or in my case a husband. This song resonates in many ways. “If I asked too much, more than a lot. You gave me nothing, now that’s all I got” I have so been here.
Love this Reaction!!! They are AMAZING!!!! Sunday Bloody Sunday is my absolute favorite! Also “New Years Day” and “Still haven’t found what I’m looking for” thanks for all you do! I love it!!! ♥️
This was back when they were the greatest band in the world. My favorite songs by them are "All I Want Is You" and "With Or Without You." I love this song and She Moves In Mysterious Ways a ton too.
The song was actually written about the band. About how everyone loved each other and had a purpose until one became hurtful it did a lot of damage and when they realized that they couldn't live without the others tried to repair it but sometimes there's too much hurt that's been made and they don't trust that person to change
This song is a masterpiece.
cookypuss / I agree, have you heard the version where U2 sing this together with Mary Jane Bligh?
@@kerrypapworth1526 I love the Mary J version she kills it but still love the original more.
100% AGREE WITH YOU cookypuss !!!!
Yes, but that's basically all of their songs.
Exactly!!! 😍🎧💕
Bono's perfect voice in a perfect song by a perfect band. U2 Forever.
“And I can’t keep holding on to what you got, when all you got is hurt” Bono
Philip A My favorite moment in the song
You asked me to enter, but then you made me crawl.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written,, a masterpiece of art, especially the lyrics.
Pretty much pick any song at random from the Joshua Tree album and you can't go wrong.
roundrockrock .
This song isn’t from the Joshua Tree album.
Amen
Or the massively underrated Zooropa or Pop. But yeah their prime years commercially were Joshua & Achtung
I love Red Hill Mining Town from The Joshua Tree...it evokes the nostalgia & decay of a once prosperous town, due to economic changes, Bono's powerful & emotive tones are perfect for the lyrics in this song.
& Acrobat from Achtung Baby is amazing & unusual in its rhythm
So many to choose from but favourite all time U2 song is Stay (Faraway, So Close) - reminds me of someone long gone from my life...
@@Pwwh0711 "Walk On" has the same effect for me. Someone preparing themselves for death
This is achung baby from 1991 when they peaked I was a freshman in high school when this album came out and everyone was going zoo tv (tour)crazy
U2 is my all time favorite bands..... " he's spewing knowledge" .... That's Bonos lyrical strength right there ❤️
This song is PERFECTION...one of my Top 5 all time. Seeing them perform this song live the first time made me cry. So many great U2 songs!

"Where the Streets Have No Name" is a must. It is one of U2's greatest!
The build up in this song is so epic! It's really subtle so you don't even realize that it's happening. It just flows so beautifully,
As a hardcore U2 fan, this was awesome to watch. I know the songs and his voice like my own mind and seeing someone listening to both for the first time, wow. Check out “Where the streets have no name”
An absolute must!!!
at best, the live version from Slane Castle!!
Most overplayed song in their entire catalog, IMO. But obviously opinions vary on that. ;-)
You might also like U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name" and "New Year's Day."

His son has inherited the voice and presence. Band called Inhaler.
I appreciate your reactions. You not just hearing the music but listening and feeling it. You get it.
This song evolves a love/hurt song to a message of unity for a generation......beautiful

‘One’ is my favorite U2 song. It’s so deep, oh my God❣️
Their version of 'One' featuring Mary J. Blige is much more better than the original.
“Pride (In The Name Of Love)”
Everyone has already mentioned the big hit songs of theirs but if you want to go deep into their catalog here is some of their best stuff that didn't get released as a single. Streets have no name, Sunday Bloody Sunday, in the name of love, elevation, Beautiful day.... list goes on.... enjoy 💪🏼
Micheal Stipe of R.E.M was asked what song would he loved to have written...........One by U2 was his answer.
This is my absolute favorite U2 song. It’s gorgeous!

In the history of rock music - even if one hates U2 - one of the best ballads of all time.
I love how you listen deep into the lyrics into all the music you check out! Love love your channel!
You need to read his bio he’s a wonderful human being who tries to help the world!
Check out "Bad" performed at Live Aid. U2 performance was right up there with Queen that day.
I can watch those Queen and U2 performances over and over again.
All I Want Is You and Heartland are a must, from the Rattle and Hum album.
City Of Blinding Lights
Beautiful Day
Vértigo
An incredible live band with a huge catalogue of masterpieces.
React to pride in the name of love dedicated to martin luther king. Top tune. Loved the reaction pal. Slainte from ireland.
Also the Mary J blige version from the Nobel prize concert is amazing. Only she and U2 can pull off this song with so much emotion.
My favorite band. Soooo many amazing songs
You can't go wrong with U2!! I remember with they first start! Amazing talent!! Stay safe!!
This is a love song for the band as they were almost close to breaking up.
"We're one, but we're not the same, we get to carry each other, carry each other."
He wrote it for his wife, because they were on the verge of a divorce because of how much he was focusing on the band.
Live Aid U2 “Bad” 💥
EPIC, EPIC, EPIC.
Live Aid is what got me into U2, leaving my hometown travelling around Europe following U2 and Simple Minds
Always loved U2 from their beginning.
One of my fav 90s songs and-as far as lyrics concerned-one of my all time favs ever.

You are so right. Toxicity from one person blinds and eventually destroys a good person.
Like one of my favorite top 5 songs ever. OUTSTANDING.

Can't go wrong with Sunday Bloody Sunday either.
Otis Dylan Great one too!
The live version of Bad from Live Aid.
The pool of U2 is deep and wide and yes the water is fine. I’ve been enjoying the swim for decades.

Bono sings with Pavarotti as well, Miss Sarajevo. Another hidden Gem.
The song was written by Bono (lead singer) about the broken relationship with his father
Great analysis of the lyrics. Many people think this is a love song.
I know "i still haven't found what im looking for" is a very played song and people call it overrated but it is my favorite because i relate to it and it gets me in the feels
I love the Rattle and Hum live version of that one.
U2 has so many greats song...Where the streets have no name.....I Still haven't found what Im looking for...… With or Without You are three songs I would suggest. All are amazing.

This was back when they were the greatest band in the world. My favorite songs by them are "All I Want Is You" and "With Or Without You." I love this song and She Moves In Mysterious Ways a ton too.
My absolute favorite U2 song.
Hi J, U2, Pride ( in the name of love ) was where I started and a good place to head, but you can't really go wrong with a lucky dip🎸
BB King told him he was too young to write lyrics like this. True. Makes me choke up every time.
The song was actually written about the band. About how everyone loved each other and had a purpose until one became hurtful it did a lot of damage and when they realized that they couldn't live without the others tried to repair it but sometimes there's too much hurt that's been made and they don't trust that person to change
One of the best songs ever. Another Irish group check out The Script-Six degrees of separation
Such an amazing song. The live version of this song together with U2 & Mary Jane Bligh is incredible 💕💕
Glad you liked it. Thanks for sharing your reaction. I would listen to the entire Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby albums.
