Now would be a good time to start marking areas that need drainage. Once the mud dries out, you can dig out the area, and install some drainage rock and pipes.
I'm guessing that they are riding after a Freeze/Thaw cycle. No amount of drainage improvement will fix that. That said, I LOVE to see them build a proper groomed (mountain bike style) track!
Are we all gonna just ignore how magnificent ike's retirement beard is looking? Love the content guys, keep it up. Lets see some more trophy truck action.
I agree liked where the trophy mini truck was going bet it is kinda hard to support that with out that many sponsors for that build though especially after he ran into a tree (LOL )
I'd say more like an alarm system lol. I have a motorized bicycle and it doesn't have the bicycle chain hooked up and the pedals just spin. A kid tried to steal it one day and couldn't figure out how to get it to move because I had the clutch engaged and he was just sitting on it spinning the pedals for all he was worth lol 🤣
@@wadewehunt502 Pretty sure it's a Thunderbird, looks just like the one I have. Hang a Hemi 212, add a smaller sprocket and it is one scary ride, nothing but a scrub brake to slow you down.
Well we know the next few months will be mini bikes rebuild content, nice. I live in a small farm community and our honda shop closed about 5 yrs ago and last week I went looking at the old building to buy as a shop and the whole place is still full of new parts and used dirt and street bikes. It's like they just closed one night and never came back. Hoping my bank loan comes though then open as a small engine/cycle repair shop.
Ike is a natural star! Funny, likeable, skilled and yet relatable. But don't get the big head, John does equally well keeping the flow and telling the story. You two are excellent compliments!
When you have a stripped bolt hole sometimes you can wrap cooper wire around the bolt and the cooper wire will allow the bolt to grab the threads just a temporary fix but in a pinch it'll last a while.
Great video, awesome find. I couldn't believe that one started. I hope no one grabs a Gatorade bottle thinking its lemon lime, lol. Thanks for showing guys.
In a pinch if you have a wallowed hole you can wrap the stud with fine copper wire , or sometimes just put stands down in the hole and get it to grab . I learned it from AvE and used it on multiple occasions with a motorized bicycle .
I had one exactly like the rusty one at 6:55, same condition and foolishly got rid of it before trying to do something with it years ago. Good luck with this collection, plenty to work with there!
SSScat is definitely the gem in there...any artic cat minibike is hard to come by. Good luck finding the missing parts. I have a ramrod and SSScat myself
That is amazing. Here in Houston if you get lucky... a striped down frame will run $400.00. Supply and demand I guess. I need to look way outside of town to maybe find a deal. Keep up your good work...It'll be fine! Rusty
The blue bike with fenders and missing motor is called a Grand Prix by Deckson. Aussie-commissioned, built in Taiwan. Originally came with a 3-3.5 Tecumseh engine as far as I know. I've just restored a grand prix with a Tecumseh H35 and 15 tooth max torque clutch. Runs up to mid-30s on a little small block, the entire bike is extremely lightweight with dual suspension and folds completely flat including handlebars for backseat storage, I bet fully folded the bike could fit in a Miata trunk... I recommend building a new seat bracket, the stock ones seem to be made of tin-foil
I couldn't help but notice yall had batteries sitting on the concrete floor. They'll keep a charge a lot better if stored a few inches off the floor on an insulated material. Great stuff guys! can't wait to see what the next epic build will be.
Hey guys great score with those bikes, and I definitely agree with hooking up the five spoke' I also like the rake on that bike, and it looks like it could Shred the course better than some of the others.👍🤙👋🤙👋✌🍻
That Honda mini-bike ike is riding reminds me of the old Honda " q 50 ", which I'm surprised they haven't run across one of them, they were very popular in the 70's with the younger ones 🤔, big brother would get the SL 125, or the very popular SL 70, then Jr. High school brother would get the honda trail 70..... but, all in all everybody was riding something!!!!!, we had a cool motorcycle riding club.....the developer was very happy because we were not hell raising on the freshly sodden golf course! ( as far as they knew)....... , anyway, watching these episodes takes me back to a simpler time, before all the; B.S that we all have to deal with!!!!!, ..well, have a nice day 😊
@@JohnHill-jm7tm I found them when they built the Honda Davidson ☺️. I didn't watch much of their go-kart videos at first but now I'm hooked and have enjoyed being able to go back and catch up. They've come a long way.
Water always sit on the bottom when it's with gasoline. it still has a vacuum leak, after Ike pulled the choke on partially it started to run better a for sure sign. that exhaust LOL!!!! that mud is slicker than snot. Ike's beard is getting sort of lengthy. when mine gets that lengthy it starts driving me crazy. and it's got to come off.
I had a Scattcat AYT660 as a kid. That one is a 1976 model. The best motor to put on it is a Briggs and Stratton 5hp edger motor with a centrifugal clutch. You cannot put a foot starter on it. It will not clear the frame. You're going to need to use a pull starter like the one that comes with the Briggs and Stratton.
You should hang the time slip sheet metal on the wall so we can see it better and you don't have to bend over to add or change time slips. Keep up the great builds, always fun to watch.
Nice find Ike 6 mini bikes and so far 2 runners .im dying to see the one that looks like a chopper(the blue one) fixed up and running ..all the best from Scotland.

More proper term for “stiff chassis” as John says, is “Hardtail”. Refers to any two wheel frame without rear suspension. Thanks for the great content guys.
I’m all about that z50r get some wheels on it and have fun! Meanwhile I have a 1980 atc 110 for a project. I pulled it off a dump trailer before it was gave back to Mother Earth.
2:23 That the type of bike I had a s a kid. Mine was white with red strips and had a number plaque on the front. After trying to research it I believe it was called a "thunderbird" by Bird Engineering.
I have that same carb on one of my atvs and when I took it apart and saw that choke I was kind of confused. Rebuilding it now so hopefully I can go rip soon.
Would REALLY enjoy one of them built as budget and easy as possible... something we can learn from and do over a weekend... do one with new parts and another with used/ found parts... no welding.
Ike, when you are running a carb that is too small, you draw more vacuum. That causes the engine to run rich. A bigger jet only makes the problem worse. A bigger fuel jet doesn’t allow more air to the engine, it just gives a choked down engine way too much fuel.
Man what a score guys I’m always looking for finds like this super sweet that z50 r was the exact same one I had growing up such cool bikes man to find one again would be a dream come true I want my son to have the same bike I had growing up

The one with the spoked wheels is a bird manufacturing “thunderbird”. Build break repeat built a cafe racer out of one.
