Nick Cannon shared his thoughts on his ex-wife Mariah Carey going public about her bipolar diagnosis, as he reveals that he was relieved and very proud of her.
Nick explained that Mariah, along with a lot of high profile celebrities, live in a bubble and are given excess. He added that the purpose of the bubble is to protect the celebrity, but adds that it also leads to people on the inside using their information for leverage. To hear more, including Nick watching Chris Lighty's struggle and a nanny extorting him after his baby headbutted her, hit the above clip.
I admire Nick Cannon's honesty about this. He is such a cool and real person. Mariah Carey is fortunate to have him as her ex-husband and his children are fortunate to have him as their father.

@Christian Barrett i was actually speaking for myself or from my own personal life experiences. I was in a home that wasnt all love & repect. During my teens i was an ass, however now that im grown. I go out of my way to make sure im the exact opposite of what i grew seeing. May not be the norm but it is true for me.

I understand what Mariah is going thru. I was diagnosed with bipolar in my early 20s. It's a battle everyday. I'm on meds now and feel much better. There are side effects but the meds do help a lot. Along with therapy as well.

I love listening to nick talk like this, i only knew him by Wild N Out and then i started watching him on interviews or other stuff like that and i love how he is as a person and his way of thinking. I recently found out he as the same disease as my mom “lupus” it’s just crazy. I’ve learned people who unfortunately get sick with a life time disease come back 10 times better, they stay positive, they gain more knowledge etc. He has a great personality. Love him!

I know that Nick said that people on the outside looking in have ideas about Mariah that are false, but I find it hard to believe that Mariah doesn't care about what people think of her. As somebody who has followed her closely since the mid 90's, she has talked, and shown through her actions, that she very much cares about what people think.

I disagree - also a long-time MC fan I notice that the Mariah pre-emancipation era is very different to the Mariah now. I think she was kicked so many times she just got a thicker skin.
