I haven't seen Tinsley Ellis in at least 25 years. I would not have recognize him. Which is neither here nor there. Warren can cover anything. With Kats like this having your back, the beat is pretty comforting as well.

I use to see Tinsley, at the Harvest Moon Saloon,in Atlanta,Ga, back in the early 80,s! Doing the bump,and drinking Heineken,s those were the day,s baby!
That was about the most iconoclastic guitar solo I've ever heard. Truly shows Scofield's mastery of the neck. I remember Ellis when he started off in Atlanta playing with a 500 foot gtr cable going out into the street. Got to admit he never gave up. The keyboard player is incredible on keys, trumpet, flute and whatever else he plays.
I saw Tinsley many times at the Harvest Moon Saloon in Atlanta. From 81 to 84, he'll I use to live on Piedmont across the street from the 🌙 Moon! Man I youst to get smashed,and soak up some good blues,on that Joint! Good Ole day,s!
Saw Tinsley just before COVID lockdown. He’s an amazing talent as is Warren & John. Found this on National mule day, lol.
Imagine my surprise to see Tinsley....his name not being in the title and such. Whatever... I haven't seen him in 10 years, but I knew that was him. Miss him, miss his guitar. Great! Thanks! I fell right into this groove. wow!

Through a tragic series of mishaps, Tinsley never received the memo they were doing a Tom Waits song.

never seeing Govt Mule when I lived in Bay Area while they were playing clubs there regularly
one of my favorite bands since I started listening to them on youtube
not to mention all of Warren's awesome semi-impersonations to keep older classic bands on the road
