      Thanks for the feedback! I'm a newbie with livestreams and learning that if something can go wrong live, it probably will! The live vids will get better and the info in this vid will be covered much more in-depth in a new vid I'll be releasing very soon!! 😀

      Nice to see you in the live stream game man! Production is decent, think you just need to wipe the lens, keep a microfiber cloth in your car or with your gear. Upgrades to streaming could be mics (I use the Rode Video MicMe and Rode smartLav +), gimbals (looking into the DJI Osmo Mobile) and tripods (using the GorillaPod Pro 'mini tripod').
      Your sound quality is good so a mic would be pretty optional. The connection issue is funny, UA-cam tells me I have a bad connection but the stream is fine, much like I see here. A gimbal could be useful if you'll be doing a lot of walking live streams like this.
      Keep it up and hope to catch more live streams from you!

    Will you be making a video about Uber now allowing tipping? I was very happy to hear this news.

      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      Yeah, it is great news! I'll discuss it soon. Let's see how it actually works in real life first! Lyft has had a tipping option for years, but it wasn't that great until this year... It all depends on how visible it is to customers and how much it's encouraged.

    Thank you! Very Helpful Video....I am fairly new to LYFT, and live in Birmingham, AL. A lot of your tips were very helpful, especially when you are a driver in what is classified as an "rural area!" I am definitely trying to figure out every way possible to maximize my daily earnings and get the word out in the community about LYFT. Open to suggestions, how to get the word out, "I was thinking about having cards printed through VISTAPrint..." Also, if you have info, suggestions or a link on how to use referral codes for riders, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Can riders request to stop for food on their route? Do lyft pay just mileage or by the time spent upon arrival to the rider destination?

    really curious to see what is going to happen with the new uber tipping option.. was always trying to provide a happy and friendly ride so they could leave a high rating.. additionally I bought a charging station cause I hate loose cables that get all tangled up which substantially increase my tips.. the charging station is available at www.powapod.com

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому

      Hey Labraun, first you'll wanna check the requirements for your area about driving for these services in general (usually you need to be licensed for at least a year) and unfortunately, most rentals require you to be 25 because the liability is just too much with younger drivers

    I'm not feeling Lyft lately!! They had the ordasity to send me a ride request 23 minutes away. I'm saying to myself, do they pay for my gas? No. Do they pay for me to travel the 23 minutes? No. Will my rider cancel when I'm 6 minutes away? 80% chance!!! Stop playing. My Lyft is officially on punishment!!!!!

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      +Ali-Baski TopGun I would suggest ignoring requests that wouldn't be profitable, like the one you described

    • @RideshareGenius

      So why are you getting upset about it? Just ignore the requests and wait for better ones. The system works the way it works. You understand that. So now make it work for you! 😀

    What cars do you recommend for uber/lyft?

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому

      I think it depends on your situation. Do you want to use the car for personal use as well? Do you plan to drive for Uber/Lyft full time? For just a few months or longer?

    • @PetePuebla
      @PetePuebla 7 років тому

      Nicholas Anderson good gas mileage car, at least 25mpg or better.

    • @NicholasAnderson2
      @NicholasAnderson2 7 років тому +1

      Im buying a car and hopefully the Uber driving covers the cost of owning the car that's why I'd be driving and maybe a little extra, I was thinking maybe starting on a weekend night when it's busiest but I don't really know how much I'd want to do it I'm assuming prob at most a few days a week but prob just when it's busy. I mean I think most of the non-luxury cars look the same/similar so the only cars aside from a Prius I was leaning toward were Volkswagen but I kept getting people telling me that there would be a ton of repairs and to not get a VW for Uber unless I drive like less than 15k a year total, also I was considering getting a luxury car for select it seemed most people were saying don't do a BMW/Mercedes/Audi (which I honestly would prob enjoy driving the most) and maybe go Japanese Infiniti/Lexus/Acura and consider hybrid but since there aren't many select rides (In Los Angeles) that you'd probably have to do a lot of X rides so owning a luxury car probably doesn't make sense. I mean if I pick up more work I was thinking of not Ubering anymore and just doing this in the meantime, I mean once I get a car I have to pay $100 for parking a month, whatever insurance is probably $150-200 or more and then obv gas and prob a little extra for maintenance stuff/cleaning. Long story short after looking at a ton of cars prob for like hours on end, I really liked the Mazda 6 Grand touring but it has low profiles and I don't know what your advice is on low profiles and doing Uber, also there was some Accord Hybrids from 2014 but they had over 110k miles in my budget. I can spend up to like ~18k on a car but I'm thinking a 10-12k used Prius with over 100,000 miles makes the most sense but for a grand or two more I can get one with way less miles. Anyways sorry for the novel my ideal car would have been a Luxury Car / German Car (like a CC/Passat CC), any thoughts here? My last car was a Lexus IS300 and I really enjoyed driving it but I haven't had a car for a while and I don't want to rack up too many additional expenses such as costly repairs. I don't know if you've covered all that like the Luxury/German Car for Uber? but I'd love a video on it. I'm assuming maybe it's like a calculation of earnings per mile Uber/.90 cents (or if it's surging) to cost of owning per mile plus maybe depreciation.

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +3

      As you can tell, there's a lot of factors that go into this! I don't have experience with luxury or German cars. I think from purely a rideshare perspective you want to get a reliable vehicle that keeps your costs low while still being safe and nice enough that you won't get bad ratings because of the car. Beyond that, it's really just personal preference!

  • @PetePuebla
    @PetePuebla 7 років тому +4

    Same here. I'm in San Diego and I've noticed that Lyft requests have increased and I think it's due in part to #deleteuber. I've even had a Lyft rider that said she won't ride Uber and I believe it's cause she's Lesbian.

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

    #deletelyft how's is lyft better I think they worst they just hide behind Uber's shady behavior their prices are cheaper then Uber and they take 25% off the drivers how are they any better I drive for both and I really hate them both

  • @kingpropht
    @kingpropht 7 років тому

    They both are so bad and considering joining a taxi base I juts pay a 100 dollars a week then the rest of the profit I get to keep and their prices are 300% more drivers should stop driving for both of the taxi bases also have applications now day don't let yourself get deceived the ending game is still the self driving cars they both here to try to monopolize the taxi industry using the drivers to accomplish their selfish goals
