It's like the captain was talking to himself. "Don't move, if you move it's more dangerous" uh yeah the crew and captain is supposed to be the last off. They're so stupid how could they give orders that killed hundreds
So, I work on a cruise, and “don’t move” is so wrong. We have exercises every week on how to evacuate a ship, how to save every life onboard. We approximately have 2500 guests plus 250 staff when it’s high season, and I truly believe that if we EVER were to be in a situation like this, we would be able to save everyone. Because our safety and security is such an important thing for us
When a ship that size tips 5% or more it's a point of no return, it's sinking, why did they think it might get upright. And captain gets out first.... BS
they shouldn't have told to stay inside it is more dangerous because when divers go down it will be difficult to open the doors because of the preasure of the water
One of the teenagers said, "I die because of you (the captain)." During a recording of their last moments. It's heartbreaking one of the kids even send a message to his sister to never go on school trip and die like him, and they were looking out for each other while the adults left them to die.
My prayers go out to the victims and their friends and families. If I was ever in that situation I would be panicking and my head wouldn't function right. So what I would do is follow directions from someone that is SUPPOSE to KNOW WHAT TO DO. But it's terrible to think there is such cowardly people that would put their lives above many others. Even in the moment of chaos there should be some sense of humanity. My condolences to the victims and their families.
i watched a video recorded by a boy and he was joking around at first but later started cursing the captain saying "this devastating captain. I'll die today because of you" and saying "Why did we have to go to Jeju island of all places?" "Why are we having a school trip?" "Why couldn't we board another ship instead of Sewol?" etc. May all the victims rest in peace and that captain burn in hell for what he did (ok that's a bit harsh but I mean come on...)
Moral of this story: If a ship is sinking, don't listen to staff.
