The church you visited was probably Syrian Orthodox who, like the Roman Catholic Church, like to assert that their first bishop was St Peter. That this might be an implied insult to Paul is an interesting thought!
@@marcionbruno8197 What I am trying to point out is that the narrative in Acts is an insult to Paul. And thus, most Christians have a skewed perspective on “how things developed.” Yes, the RC Church has done a solid job in the various claims they make ….persuasive and effective. So many are just not accurate, though. In a sense, ANY church named St Peter is an affront to Paul. 😉
