I really got a LOT from this. Thank you from Australia. Seeing you go through the process and apply it repeatedly on the examples (Law of constant mass…. Triangle…. Etc) really helped me to understand the big picture. And, your point of NOT trying to create a “portrait” really struck home. I’ve never heard that before, and you really shifted my thinking. This is a video I’ll watch repeatedly and use as a tool to learn. You said you hoped it would help others. Well, it HAS! Fffffffanks!🤪
constant mass has been a hard thing for me to master as I progress. Nice touch and explanation on this. Richmond is so good at this in Mad Art. I thought the second girl had more chin, though.
You were jumping about from topic to topic at first and it was off-putting, but once you got going I picked up a lot of really good tips. That triangle will really stick with me. Thanks, great vid.
I dont think caricature can be taught like painting . Perspective, definition of lines, etc...yes... but capturing an emotion, is difficult. Not to say it cant be taught methodically, but a true caricature is one shot. No going back...if your doing a live caricature.
Self learning artist here…much appreciated on your guide. Thank you
