I think I will break the bank and get a Weihrauch in 22cal. I do not think you can go wrong with one any model according to the reviews. Just have to decide on a break barrel, under lever spring or gas piston yet. That is still a lot to decide on for a 70+ senior.Being a real airgun newbie.I enjoy your videos and respect you honesty.
OK johnny winter is the best, on your review I have the same gun in .177 for about 5 yrs now, it is excellent in all exceptions, you shoot to the left & need to adjust to it .
Do you know if the whisper fusion and big cat and swarm etc.. All use the same power plant? I believe They do and they just raise the fps rating on box for the higher priced more decked out guns
All springers should be broken in before review. Sadly even if they used automatized rigs to do this in the factory it would probably raise the price too much, so shooting the 500-2000 round break-in is left to the buyer.
Had my Gamo whisper elite fusion .22 for years now.. still dead accurate and consistent power ..just shot a bunch right now with h and N sniper magnums and gamo red fire ... Im upset my vintage crossman 38T didn't hold pressure when I took it out.. 1st Time ever.. so it's now out of action .. I need a good revolver or pistol with good accuracy and power ..
Yeah, I made a remark on a forum the other day that some Gamo products are (or seemed) to be getting better, but I believed that they are on average about $100.00 overpriced. I have a Hatsan 155, an 85 Sniper, two NPs and an NP2, and for the price, they are all better guns than the Gamos from everything that I've seen and heard. And their Hunter Extreme (not quite as powerful as my 155) costs $100.00 more at $459.00. That's ridiculous. Thank you for the truth !!
Well there goes your Gamo endorsement ... ha ... Good review Kenny but for the prices that they are asking for these Gamo rifles you can shop around and find some very nice alternatives like the Walther Terrus for under $200 add a cheap Leapers scope and you are way ahead .... Kelly
I have this Gamo Whisper Fusion Elite .177 cal Spring Air Rifle. And the scope is no good. It fell apart from the forward and backward recoil of the springer being shot. I replaced the scope with one from Walther. It's the 4x32 one and I'm testing it right now. The scope recoil thing won't allow me to mount the Walter scope with proper eye relief so I removed the scope backstop thing and move the riser back some more. I torqued the screws down and used blue Loctite on the screws to keep them from moving or backing out. After less than 25 Crosman Premier 7.9 Gr. Super Match lead pellets through the gun I'm getting some accuracy. I'm shooting from about 40 yards away at a 17" diameter Shoot N C target with a 2" bull's eye and hitting the bull's eye when using a stable shooting table and a Caldwell Shooting Bag. Before I mounted the Walter scope back for proper eye relief when having a proper cheek mount I was not able to hit the bullseye with consistency. I don't have a chronograph so I can't give you the speeds. I'm using the gun to try to dissuade some fox squirrels from eating the blueberries out of my blueberry bush. So far the squirrel's score is 10 and zero for me. Although I thought that I hit a small gray squirrel in the head. But I didn't find the body so he got away. But I did hear a plopping sound after I shot that I never hear when I missed. The thing to watch out for is the scope moving backward on the rifle mount platform. Make a etch at the back of the scope to see if the scope moves in the rings or if the mount moves back on the rifle's dovetailed groves. If it's moving back the POI will change and the scope's accuracy will go down. My Gamo Scope on the Bone Collector Air Rifle fell apart too. It won't track at all and the reticle is loose inside the scope now due to the recoil of the spring.
hey guys with the gamo whisper fusion elite if you wont a better shot take out the so cald silencer theres two push pins take them out pull cap off and take silencer out take the cap with a reaming bit ream it out to just about where the 6 holes are put cap back on push pins back in and then get a new scope I put bsa sweet 17 on mine it shoots dead on if you have any question splease let me know thanks
The Gamo Scope falls apart after a while. So replace that scope with a Springer Rifle Rated Scope as the Gamo scope will not last. Even with the scope backstop in place. And for me, the eye relief was not proper even with the scope mounted all the way back in its scope rings. The scope rings mount into a platform that fits in the dovetail grooves.
It's really too bad that QC is lacking so much. I have an older socom 1250 and that rifle will shoot comfortably 5 pellets within an inch at 50m. They have the know-how, they just need to do it. Make the pivot tension adjustable, make fair claims concerning power and leave the scope choosing up to the customer.
Kenny>>>What rifle (.177) would you recommend for approx. $100-$125 bucks?.Unfortunately I purchased the Swiss Arms TG-1 BEFORE I read your review! I love your tests!
After seeing your excellent review on the Ruger Airhawk Elite II, I scrambled out to Walmart and luckily got the last one on the shelf! I just love this rifle! Plenty of power, VERY accurate with the scope dialed in and I like the scope mount as well as the safety trigger! Thanks for sterring me to an excellent product!
What I know about the Hatsan Vortex Piston is the O Rings deteriorate in some of them after around 2000 shots and I thing the fill pressure from the factory is inconsistent.
for the money you guys are spending on these inexpensive airguns if you took tow of those guns and combined the money together you could buy one good airgun . when are you people going to learn that the inexpensive airgun are not worth it buy your self a r9 or lgu or a tx200 you will be happier in the long run instead of sitting there telling us how bad inexpensive airguns are that is my opinion
I can’t believe there are still people who buy the marketing hype concerning pellet velocity, and think faster is better. Pellets lose accuracy at anything more than about 920fps. There are plenty of videos here on UA-cam demonstrating it. The best accuracy is usually around 850fps. But people continue to look at the big numbers on the box, and buy air rifles based solely on those silly claims.
I deleted my other comment, having gained more experience with Gamo now.......I recently purchased two Gamo rifles and I think the best place for them is at the dump. I could not even sell them used to someone and not be bothered by it. I know one thing for sure, I will never again purchase a Gamo product. Live and learn I guess is the name of Gamo. One learns to not buy them. This goes for some of the other bargain price rifle brands also. I will stick with German made, but the quality of Gamo not only frustrates me it pisses me off. Cheers! Kit Carson
I'm really glad I didn't pay any attention to ur review on the maxxim I bought that gun and it shoots amazing, but I did change the scope b4 I ever shot it. The scopes that come on any of the entry lvl guns I have seen are junk. For that matter combo deals that exclude a scope on real steal guns are crap too. You just seem bitter toward gamo. I have had 2 and both have put many squirrels in the pan.
Can you be any more dull or biased? Its a spring piston airgun with no mods. what did you expect? All Gamo's FPS claims are with PBA pellets, its written right on the box. Its muzzle velocity which it loses in about 2 ft. but its an entry level airgun, its not Daystate. Def not subscribing.
wow maybe your just a bad shot. i bought 2 swarm maxxims and they work grear. i can shoot sparrows at 50 yards.. i shot 3 rounds at 25 yards to sight in scope. it was off 3.5 " low and 1/2" left. scope adjustments was one click 1/4" hundred yards. Sence I was shooting only a quarter that distance I had to do 4 clicks per 1/4 " so I moved 56" clicks right and 8 clicks up and gun was dead on. I killed a week befor I shot at another taget. Ive had 6 months and is still dead on bulllseye. I shoot teetee birds off power lines 50 yards away. i dont miss with a rest ever. I shot expert through my military carreeer. Maybe you just cant shoot well. Easy guns to shoot. How is my experience so good and yours so bad? Because Im an expert shot your not clearly no offense. My scope was fine. the paralex was factory set at 25 yards but I still didnt notice any at 50 yards. Im also an expert in optics. when adjusting for parallax you use what we call the "with, out rull". This means what? First parallax is apparent movement of the retical with respect to field of view. So with gun setting stationary as in a mount move your eye slightly to left and right while observing crosshairs. if the retical moves with the eye off the target then you screw the objective lense out. Hence the "with out rule". if you move eye left and retical moves right then you move objective lense furrher in scope closer to eye piece. Maybe you was experiencing paralllax I dont know but Ill tell you the Gamo guns I own work extremely well. That the opinion or an old soldier who qualified expert over and over and shot "hawkeye" atleast 10 times. That means qualifications day I hit 40 out of 40 targets up to 300 yards open sites with an M-16
I think you should start reviewing fruit not guns this gun shoots great dime at 75 yards in the .22 cal and you neglected to say a full 5 test warranty you should pay more attention
jerry m i got one too .22 cal and i love it it better the my Ruger impact .22 cal and lot lighter too it just as strong as Remington Express synthetic . 22 cal this dude here don't know a good air gun if it kicks him in his ass
Adrian Armstrong I don't know what he's doing he Sure doesn't know guns every one he says is bad seems to do better then advertising I never have a problem and I'm picky at 61 yrs old
I Love my Gamo Elite .22 and .177 fusion, they both are dead nuts accurate, light weight, durable and quiet. Will buy Gamo again, no hesitation.
WOW!
Thank you Kenny....for one's money, one should know what ones getting....thanks for keeping the venders on their toes!
Thanks for the honesty Kenny that's why i watch your videos..great vid.
Wish I would have seen this before I bought one a couple of years ago, This explains a lot.
Only honest reviewer out there sorry he passed

Thanks for your honest review. I'll steer clear. ;)
Do you know if the whisper fusion and big cat and swarm etc.. All use the same power plant? I believe They do and they just raise the fps rating on box for the higher priced more decked out guns
Big Cat uses a spring piston.
My Gamo Whisper came with bent barrel, open sights had to be almost off the scale to the right side to shoot straight :)
All springers should be broken in before review. Sadly even if they used automatized rigs to do this in the factory it would probably raise the price too much, so shooting the 500-2000 round break-in is left to the buyer.

Hi can u test the new Gamo "magnum" 177 ???, thanks
another lemon from Gamo...!!! lol! you got that right!

it seems to me that the oil is dieseling the pellet not just lubricating it correct?
Well that seems to the point review wise. 😃

so you saying the pellets are hitting the hole thru the silencer ?

Hi Jenny have you ever reviewed a xisico sentry pcp
Kenny>>>What rifle (.177) would you recommend for approx. $100-$125 bucks?.Unfortunately I purchased the Swiss Arms TG-1 BEFORE I read your review! I love your tests!
I see that Pyramyd Air has the Hatsan Edge on sale for $99.99. That or the Ruger Air Hawk Elite II from Walmart.

No doubt about powerful gas gun! Need heavy pellet to group! A lot of work! What about open sights? TU! Semper FI!
KENNY, YOU SAY YOU'RE DONE WITH Gamo. I am too after 2 0f them. How about hatsan gas piston 95?
What I know about the Hatsan Vortex Piston is the O Rings deteriorate in some of them after around 2000 shots and I thing the fill pressure from the factory is inconsistent.
Thanks for the adjustment info on Gamo triggers. Got screws ordered.

Is there a pellet rifle that shoots what they say it shoots fps wise ?
hi can u test the new Gamo magnun .22??, thanks
What equipment do u use on the airguns to measure the cocking effort?
A scale with a non slip Pad
myairgunreviews OK I feel stupid now. Lol thank u for responding. That's a good idea. I'm gonna try it.
Hi. At Your experience what air rifle you would prefer ? .22 cal . just in your case. can you give me some names I can choose?
thank you!!
I like the Hatsan 125 Sniper, The Benjamin NP XL2200 and the Umarex Octane.
wich one you would you buy when it means power and accuracy? brake, under lever barrel.
NO pcp
I realy like the Hatsan 150 or 155 Torpedo. Do the 150 , 155 have a bigger air " tank" ? I know 135 has a bigger air tank than a 135.
They all put out the same power.

and b4 the spell check police show up I know it's steel
In my last 5 Gamo Gun reviews, I went through 8 Gamo Air Rifles and 6 of the 8 were Bad. Now ask me if I'm a little fed up with Gamo.
Stop buying junk and you won't be fed up.
Buy RWS and Weihrauch airguns...problem solved!

So you have to diesel it to get the velocity!!!!!Junk for that price, better off with the Ruger Airhawk.
they shoot plastic pallet

Gamo quality= Spanish Socialism
Nothing worse than a bad scope..
+ Derek Foulkes Bad gun?
@@whiff1962 exactly
After having many game of us I'm convinced the company is built on lies! They say 1500 FPS maybe shooting a feather. And without accuracy
