Nicely done! One other thing to note is you can set up Alexa on the main display. You will see an Alexa icon at the top of the screen passenger side next to the temperature. It works the same way it does with any Alexa device. Once it's set up (which is very easy as it uses a QR code) you don't need to press any buttons. You simply say "Alexa what's today's weather" or "Alexa navigate to 555 Waybridge Street". You use it exactly the way you would use Alexa at home. So far it works great. So very cool!
Thanks Trey! Appreciate the call out for people wondering about Alexa. I mention it briefly in the uConnect video but it's really neat how easy connecting and using it is. May have to carve out some time to shoot an Alexa video
Don't believe the Grand Cherokee has the option to disable the paddle shifters.. it would normally be in Performance Pages on the media screen which the GC doesn't have. I think you can disable it during the drive by pressing and holding the right paddle but that resets it when the car is turned off
Just hold down the positive (right) paddle and it turns off. This vehicle is a joke, thank goodness Stellantis literally just fired everyone in engineering who worked on it.
Question if I push the shift paddle on accident how do I put it back on normal drive without turning off and on the car?? My car doesn’t have a M mode like the one before.
I have lost the ability to operate my power windows, and I have lost visual access to the large centre screen. How can I recover these features, PLEASE!!
If it's the infotainment screen that's blacked out, press the power button on the volume rocker. For the cluster screen, press the up/down arrows on the pad to change screens. If that doesn't work there could be a module that needs to be replaced. Book it in for a service appt
I have a 2023 limited JGC and in my other car (mustang) i cant tap a button on the steering wheel and ask it to call someone or for directions. On this jeep it seems i have to hit the microphone on the screen?????
There's a voice command prompt on the steering wheel of the Grand Cherokee.. It's also the green phone button on the left pad. Short press activates uConnect while a longer press and hold will activate Google Assistant/Siri if your phone is connected
It might be the one for the air suspension system or Forward Collision Warning/Pedestrian Emergency Braking Warning. Most likely need to bring it in for service
Unfortunately no factory option to disable them.. only thing you can do is leave the manual shift mode by pressing and holding the "+" paddle on the right until the "D" gear is shown again
Hey steve . I got a 2024 grand cheeroke l summut 5.7 . If i pedal shift than how do you get off the pedal back to normal and also what are those 2 buttons on the pedal shifter
You can press and hold the left paddle for a few seconds to get out of the paddle shifter mode! The buttons behind the steering wheel depend on the side.. Left side is a jump between presets or a longer press and hold to seek while the buttons on the right are for adjusting the volume
You can see it in this video throughout on the bottom of the screen in the very middle. It's a Canadian spec so it's in KM but this one had 94 km on it
Hey! If you've got the digital cluster it should be available. It would be under Settings -- > Display -- > Navigation Turn by Turn in Cluster Check out this uConnect 5 walk through: ua-cam.com/video/ZKSrholQuz4/v-deo.html
Hi Steve - I have a 2023 Grand Cherokee L with Nav - the digital cluster only shows the turn by turn, but not the entire map. Do you know if there is a separate setting for that?
@@CarsWithSteve Thanks. They made it hard to find on this model. I've owned several Jeeps and miles to empty was always prominent on the instrument cluster.

This instrument cluster is extremely difficult to learn. Your video helps but it’s not intuitive at all to use it
It does take a bit to get used to. How are you enjoying the car so far otherwise?
That is so cool with the maps and was wondering why the map wasn't loading on dash
Make sure that maps in cluster is selected through the media screen settings!
It takes about 20 to 30 seconds to load. Steve didn't allow it to load as he moved on to another feature.
How do you turn off paddle shifters entirely?? I almost died when I touched mine and couldn’t figure out how to turn it off.
If yours has the option of turning it off it would be through the uConnect media screen Settings --> Vehicle
How do I turn off the paddle shifters ? My mom always accidentally hits them rather then the volume or skip song buttons

@@CarsWithSteve yea the old body grand cherokees use to have that in its settings the newer bodies don’t seem to have it
@@CarsWithSteve i believe to disable the paddle shifters when accidentally pressing one is by pressing the left and right paddle simultaneously
Annoying that it's not a standard option in the newer ones. Hopefully she gets used to where the paddles are

My dad just got this jeep and it's definitely taking a little getting used to
There's definitely a lot to learn, hopefully these videos help! What trim level did he go for?
do you know why my 2024 jeep grand cherokee keeps making a beeping noise? I just got mine yesterday. Is it the blind spot detection?@@CarsWithSteve
Yess! @@hype2784
If you’re on the RPM gauge hold OK it will switch to a normal odometer

do you know why my 2024 jeep grand cherokee keeps making a beeping noise? I just got mine yesterday. Is it the blind spot detection?
@@hype2784 if the beeping happens when one of the blind spot lights are on then it’s that. You can switch it off in the settings
Is it the chime? I want the blind spot lights on on the side mirrors. I would believe its the sound to remove @@MahruqiYousef

Is there a way to display the compass so it shows N,S,E,W instead of just the current direction?
Believe it's only the one view for the compass

23grand cherokee, how to brighten instrument panel where speedometer is? Dimmer seems to only adjust nav screen
Should just be the switch on the far right side by your left knee.. If you lower the rocker does it affect your cluster brightness at all?
Didn't see it there, thank you! My knee blocking it

Are you able to see Apple maps through the dash? Itll show turn by turn in my HUD but not the dash
Unfortunately not... there aren't any brands I know of that can bring CarPlay/Android Auto maps into the dash
