I don’t understand everyone complaining about the lack of features. If you want a car that’s long lasting, you want tried and true tech with less moving parts. Don’t need a sunroof, don’t need an iPad in the dash and don’t need touchscreen everything. This car looks awesome and I’d love one! Good review bros.
Just bought mine two days ago and I love this car. I also own a x5m bmw and still enjoy the civic way more. Its a functional practical daily driver. Plus it looks so good.
Instead of installing an already outdated radio, should have left a standard sized hole in the dash so owner can find their own radio, and future owners can switch it out to latest tech when buy it as a used car. That is how Japanese cars used to be made and allowed the transition from 8-track to cassette to CD.

I recently got one last month and I’m loving every bit of it. I know it’s not a fast car but it still feels like one at times on the highway and on the street. The handling is my favorite part of this car, my old car had terrible handling and this one just steers like butter. I also feel like this car has all the features I need and more. It’s a nice looking car that’s not too flashy.
It's 2025, screens need to be larger, and be more integrated in the overall aesthetic of the design. A notched out dash with a teeny tiny screen, but it's a Civic, yea yea yea....great video guys.
The new accord has the 12in screen on every trim level except the base trim I think. Integrated screens actually used to be the standard on all vehicles back when they first were being added to vehicles. Now only the luxury lines use the more integrated screens
Civic is an awesome car, and this is no exception. Just wish their msrp was closer to that of a Corolla and they could offer the hybrid on the LX and on hatchback too. That way, the price wouldn’t overlap with Camry hybrid price since the civic hybrid price makes the Camry hybrid look like the best bang for your buck.
Toyota is definitely increasing the MSRP for the 2025 Toyota Corolla sedan (which will be sold starting next month) and you'll find there's not much of a difference in price between 2025 Corolla and 2025 Civic

Civic sport hybrid costs $350 more than Camry LE to start, actually. At that price, while sport hybrid gives you the moonroof and heated seats, Camry LE counters with wireless Apple CarPlay and rear air vents. Then spring for convenience package which puts you about 600-700 above civic, you get power seats with lumbar support and auto dimming review mirror. Personal preference on what you want, but I’d much rather have the rear air vents, power driver seats with lumbar, wireless CarPlay, and auto dimming mirror over heated seats. Camry LE with or without convenience package is arguably better than civic sport hybrid, feature content wise for what I’d desire. Then touring civic is about $1,000 more than Camry SE, so Camry SE vs civic touring is also another story. Love the civic, just wish it was priced closer to its chief rival, the Toyota Corolla, and not closer to the Camry, which is what the accord is supposed to compete against. It’d sell way better if priced closer to the Corolla, imo.
@sachinnair91 The middle class is now being pushed to buy compact cars and Crossovers. My aunt paid about $28k for her well equipped 2021 Toyota Camry SE. Now, the 2025 Camry SE will cost her nearly $35k! And she really didn't care for the hybrid configuration at all on the 2025.

They are very nice cars, but two of my friends have had sport touring both 2023 and had significant problems. The rims are very susceptible to bending, front suspension problems, including sticky steering that the dealer refuses to fix even though it’s under recall. The trim around the windows literally starts fading after five months, granted we are in southern California. I would consider the sport hybrid or sport touring hybrid, but I would definitely put gloss black trim around the windows and get an extended warranty.
Interesting. This is my first time seeing comments like this about the 11th gen Civic. More reasons why the 2025 Camry LE is a better buy for basically the same money.

I got a 2025 sport hatchback for $28,000 cash after everything. Im 6'5 and fit in it fine my only complaint is the road noise. Considering on buying sound deadening material.
The Sport is still a good buy, but honestly for the sedan I would say save the money and buy the LX or go all the way to the Sport Hybrid. It’s a minor price increase for more equipment, more power, and 50mpg. For the hatch definitely get the Sport Hybrid.
Is it like my kia and has different modes? Example Sport mode makes the car go faster, Smart mode takes away some power for mpg. Regular is the middle by default?
The insight was basically the hybrid civic for some time, and then they got rid of that recently. More I see the hybrid civic, I really like it. However, the pricing structure would probably keep me from buying it which is sad since I want to love this car, just can’t get behind that price.
I'm also happy that Honda has made blind spot monitoring standard in the 2025 Civic. Toyota's being cheap and only makes blind spot monitoring standard on the most expensive Corolla XSE trim. So this is a W for the Civic and a L for the Corolla!

How does the adaptive cruise control work at highway speed? I wish you would incorporate this into your reviews of slightly underpowered cars. Changing lanes to get around a slower car can be dangerous if your car does not respond quickly to the open lane. This would add value to your reviews.

The speakers aren't up to par for me..., there are songs I've listened to in my 2010 Malibu fleet car that sounded 100 times better. I just got my 2025 civic sport two days ago but it needs a subwoofer or something because songs that have bass its either nonexistent or it's too much pushing the speaker to its limits.
Another thing, touch screen is tiny also looks outdated already, no rear vents, no auto dimming rearview mirrors, no blind spot monitoring. Disappointed I didn’t go with the touring
The Corolla has four tire pressure indicators, whereas the Civic only has one. You have to check each tire to see which one is low. The Civic's infotainment system is outdated compared to the Corolla's.
Better they get rid of the 1. 5 turbo engines.. you guys already know that’s not good engine, oil dilution problem warm up issues many issues that engine does.. how I know because I got 2018 Honda crv
Start changing your oil at 5k miles and your issues will lessen. I'm surprised that no manufacturer has figured out a way to make GDI more reliable without having dual injection.
Also the new '25 Nissan Kicks curb weight is listed as 2,987lbs. 35mpg highway is still not bad, and the new Kicks grew in size quite a bit and has class leading 8.4" ground clearance so no problems with mild flooding, snow, or steep ramps you'll never scrape.
@@BoopSnootI agree with you 100% who cares if Sedans have a lower center of gravity and weigh less and are more fuel efficient. They have less trunk space and are boring and bad for floods, they are also old news. Sedans are also mostly driven by men that drive aggressively in them. Crossovers, SUVs, and Hatchbacks are the way to go today as most people would agree. Only reason why the Civic Sedan is fuel efficient is because it has idle stop/start as it has the same engine as the Hrv and it only weighs 200 pounds less than the Hrv.

This civic is a great looking car no doubt about it but, that 150hp engine output sounds a little weak. For similar money and more power with no CVT transmission, the mazda 3 seems to out shine the civic by a little bit. What do you guys think?

Yes, the Mazda 3 has 2.5 L which is how it makes the 186hp; Civic has 2L with 150hp. You also have to keep in mind CVT does not need as much power since it can keep RPM at the peak power while geared transmission has to move through rev range and only would be at peak power very briefly.
Sorry Honda, I can get 2025 Mazda3 Select for less than $27,00. It makes 191 HP, 41 more than Civic. Or CX-30 Sport Select with AWD and 191HP. Count me out.
Sadly the Civic drives better. It feels lighter, better planted and has independent rear suspension. I had a 2022 Mazda3 AWD and it was not as good to drive as my older Mazda cars. The hybrid is the Civic to get, otherwise yeah I can see buying a FWD lower trim Mazda3 for less.
@@mindspinn311 I had a 2019 Civic Sport Coupe, a real head turner in tonic yellow. It drove like a dream, thanks to its exquisitely tuned CVT, making all the right sounds. The only drawback was it didn't handle well in the snow. I think the current generation is bland and boring looking, though. Same carry-over engine making the same 158hp. Mazdas by far are better and exciting looking vehicles. My only beef is six speed automatic. It's mooshy and jerky. I wish they'd source Honda's CVT for their vehicles.
Great review thanks. BUT, i prefer the 2024 model. The 2025 front bumper is too protruded and i don't like the whale mouth front grill design that seems to be borrowed from the ugly HRV. Plus my 2024 EX has turn signals built into the mirrors. I think the 2024 model is by far the best Civic ever built.
@@tsw808 front camera broke, autolock system fails all the time, water leaking on the drivers door when it rains, front camera overheats when its too hot outside, seats are súper uncomfortable they are flat and stiff. I cannot drive there for 1 hour
Yup Camry LE is a hell if a buy for $28k, but most of them are $30k with packages. Still better buy and a better hybrid than the Civic, but I do prefer the Civic interior and fun to drive factor.
Yeah it will be a nice upgrade for sure. And for anyone talking about the HP, base model Civics never had huge HP numbers anyway. If you want fast civic get the Type R
Subtle not subtle - if you want options you like you need to go hybrid and 2.0 not a turbo - Honda going in the wrong direction and I’m no longer interested in anything they offer
100%. I think even the current Forte GT is better than this as well. A friend of mine has one of these and it hasn’t been that reliable. Nothing major, but still annoying suspension issues and she thinks the CVT is broken, although I have driven it and know it’s just a CVT. 😂
@jonathanwilkinson242 That will be my next car! 2025 Kia K4 GT-Line trim. Have you seen the standard stuff you get for the money? Standard 12 inch infotainment screen with Apple Carplay/Android Auto standard and dual climate control. I even think blindspot monitoring is standard even on the LX base trim. The pricing is even more competitive than the Civic.
I don't think any Kia will last longer than the Civic, even in 1000 years to come, Hyundai and Kia engines are exploding everywhere, they are just cheap and you can never compare a Korean car to a Japanese one.

Road and tires noises come standard with all Hondas. Sat in the back of a Civic Sport uber and noises coming through was noticably loud.
To be fair, Honda Civic has always been an economy car, not luxury. If you want less road/tire noise, I'd go the luxury route.

what do you expect from large wheels? there's a reason why they used to commonly use 14" wheels vs the 18-19" ones. more air = less road noise

The 2025 is actually 1 inch longer than the 2024 Civic due to the new resigned from end. 184 inches is now 185 inches.

I had a 13,17,19 and 20 sport… didn’t care for the 24 accord sport, so I got the 24 civic sport…I miss the accord!!

Meh, hard to get excited about sedans when they have affordable fastbacks, hatchbacks, and crossovers available with much more useful trunk designs.
Sedans weigh less and have a lower center of gravity which means more fun to drive. I will always choose a sedan!

Sadly the Civic drives better. It feels lighter, better planted and has independent rear suspension. I had a 2022 Mazda3 AWD and it was not as good to drive as my older Mazda cars. The hybrid is the Civic to get, otherwise yeah I can see buying a FWD lower trim Mazda3 for less.
@@mindspinn311 I had a 2019 Civic Sport Coupe, a real head turner in tonic yellow. It drove like a dream, thanks to its exquisitely tuned CVT, making all the right sounds. The only drawback was it didn't handle well in the snow. I think the current generation is bland and boring looking, though. Same carry-over engine making the same 158hp. Mazdas by far are better and exciting looking vehicles. My only beef is six speed automatic. It's mooshy and jerky. I wish they'd source Honda's CVT for their vehicles.

Great review thanks. BUT, i prefer the 2024 model. The 2025 front bumper is too protruded and i don't like the whale mouth front grill design that seems to be borrowed from the ugly HRV. Plus my 2024 EX has turn signals built into the mirrors. I think the 2024 model is by far the best Civic ever built.

@@tsw808 front camera broke, autolock system fails all the time, water leaking on the drivers door when it rains, front camera overheats when its too hot outside, seats are súper uncomfortable they are flat and stiff. I cannot drive there for 1 hour

The new Camry is only a few thousand dollars more and has better gas mileage and more power and more room.
Yup Camry LE is a hell if a buy for $28k, but most of them are $30k with packages. Still better buy and a better hybrid than the Civic, but I do prefer the Civic interior and fun to drive factor.
I've seen subaru legacy premiums for this price too.
150hp is snail level slow but if you get this in a 6mt this car will last until you die so thats the plus

It’s nice for me to go to work and then out bowling with friends, don’t care for boring when it just gets the job done
I averaged 23 in winter 27 in summer, disappointed. Plus accelerating from a stop is beyond disappointing. Otherwise it’s a great car.

200hp hybrid replaced the 1.5T for all Civic models other than Si.
It makes zero sense that the hatchback version doesn't have the 200hp hybrid option like the sedan.

Test drove one of these with 158hp and it was painfully slow. I can't believe they are lowering horsepower for the new model year 😂

I have the 2013 ilx and I like it with only 150 hp no cvt makes it a lot more satisfying to drive.

It was on the hatchback Sport until 2024 so get one while you can! It also has a different engine with slightly more power.

100%. I think even the current Forte GT is better than this as well. A friend of mine has one of these and it hasn’t been that reliable. Nothing major, but still annoying suspension issues and she thinks the CVT is broken, although I have driven it and know it’s just a CVT. 😂
@jonathanwilkinson242 That will be my next car! 2025 Kia K4 GT-Line trim. Have you seen the standard stuff you get for the money? Standard 12 inch infotainment screen with Apple Carplay/Android Auto standard and dual climate control. I even think blindspot monitoring is standard even on the LX base trim. The pricing is even more competitive than the Civic.
So let’s see how reliable will be that Kia k4 or maybe last just 2 years🤔
