You're doing great, kid. Your storytelling has really progressed, and you've found the magic of making a connection. Your grandfather's connection with old Tom has clearly picked up again with you. Now, as you travel to new destinations that feeling of a connection will draw you even further towards an answer. It'll be up to you through storytelling to make we the viewers feel what you're feeling. As you just did. Stop by and visit Johny Ringo Peters grave on the other side of the mountain. There you'll find my connection. We carry the same family name. Yep that Johny Ringo ...
great video bro and finally an honest review on an overland channel. You and your buddys do it right, it's a breath of fresh air just seeing real people. SHAMROCK SPONSOR THIS MAN!
The old stomping grounds. The roads look a lot smoother now then they use to. Your story telling and homework that you have put together has defiantly progressed over time with your trips. That is some of my favorite land in the whole SW. I had some really great times with your grandpa in those hills on our hunting trips. Those were definitely some of the good old days. Great job as always son. Love you! Your Pa...
It’s a really special place, I hope one day I can also have my ashes spread out there in those hills. Out of everywhere you mentioned when I was growing up, dragoons were what I most remember, and taking that pig out of there. Love you pops thank you for your support
That box doesn’t shut all the way but damn it lets people know you overland! Man the southwest is truly an awesome part of the country. I was born and raised in Scotland now live in the pnw of the United States but I have been down to Arizona a few times and just love the desert.
Appreciate the history lesson along with the travel. Have done most of my exploring Central, Northern Arizona. Southern mostly by Harley and some Backpacking. have been in the area, not explored as much,,, gotta go. thanks sir. Informative. good video.
Thanks for a great video and history tutorial. Hope to make the trip to the China pass next fall. Regarding your Rav, people can be a little judgmental. If it work for you, go for it…I would be happy with 27 mpg while seeing the world. Too many are caught up on all the gadgets they think will make life better on the trail. Work with in your budget and make sure you have the essential equipment to be safe. Cheers!
Thank you for supplying your ventures with historical info...places we visit & the sights discovered become monumental for avid trekkers in search of familiarity. Keep venturing and thanks for documenting the terrain and complimenting our awesomely historical and beautiful state of AZ that I can't seem to get enough of. Days later returning home, all I can do is plan to see more, with more context & added reason about future journeys trekking to the middle of NowHere. 👉🤛 thnx
Very interesting history lesson thanks. The Toyota is still going well. Just been watching Shaun on the story till now. And his new truck . has a drive shaft problem .
Thanks yeah loving this car. And that is exactly why I steer everyone away from modern Chrysler (stellaris). They have really hit rock bottom, I own a 2015 Cummins and other than a transmission and turbo it’s been a great truck but the new stuff is bottom of the barrel!
LOL. Visions come to mind of "Anchorman, the Legend of Ron Burgundy" and the part where he was suffering from the heat drinking milk and proclaiming, "it's so damn hot... milk was a bad choice." 🤣🤣
I’m a HUGE fan of this new rig and your old RAV4. My business had an old rav4 years ago and I loved it so much I might just get one in the future. There are far more people who have small suv & crossovers than have full size rigs. I always look forward to seeing your new videos. I drive a full-size SUV & jeep. Millers Valley in Prescott was named after my 3 or 4th great Grandfather.
Thanks for you support as always, and I’m glad you’re on board with the rav! They are killer cars, I’ve actually looked at a few prospects out near Miller valley, neat history you have there!
LOL, I took a rental car over Middlemarch pass last time I was in the area. Wondered if I'd make it or have to turn around, but I did. Got more comfortable as I got out on the flats toward Pierce for sure. Spent most of my time and young life on the Sulpher Springs side. We would wander about looking around mines, for pretty rocks, arrowheads, and gather acorns to eat. Although a small acorn you could eat them raw as they did not have the bitter tannins other acorns had. Went there with a Christmas tree permit once, damn hard to find a good tree though. Thanks again for the memories.
Well, you had me until you put all that mayo on the sandwich... Joking aside I am glad I found your channel. I've explored the Chiricahuas a couple times and the Dragoons very limited. I have a two week Jeep camping trip out that way next March driving all the way from FL so this has already given me some ideas. Thank you for the time you are putting in.
I love your RAV4. Don't listen to the naysayers. I would like updates on how the RAV is doing on your trips. It's encouraging to see the capabilities of your rig as a fellow RAV owner.
Greetings from Benson. Saw your T-shirt, Kimes Ranch and looked it up. Too bad it turns out TSC is run by an idiot that does not think his customers are the most important thing. Genius lost $2B in a week. Thanks for your pro quality videos! and all the research you do!
I have the ONXHUNT planning on the Off road as well but I wish you could combine them. Need the off road for trails to get to the hunt areas but also need the property ownership and hunt unit boundaries together be nice to over lay them. I put in for AZ deer should know soon.
I hear that a lot, it would be really nice especially if you pay for both. They did update the premium to show boundaries lines for private property and ownership recently
What are you doing for your lower bumper delete? I have a trip to the NJ pine barrens coming up and I wanna squeeze a little more clearance in front of the tires on my Rav. I'm mainly worried about the washer reservoir though. Our bumpers a different but I know the lower cover is almost the same if not the same.
The washer reservoir only sticks out from under the plastic shroud a small amount, I made two supports off the bumper support and bent a piece of aluminum as a skid. I’ll do a video on the rav soon
You're realistic with today's fuel economy and balanced with life's obstacles. I always love your content dude. Have you considered doing filming in Colorado or Moab. You know Arizona to a t, Just curious if you've ever wanted to explore those territories and film it?
Oh yeah! Looking to get up to CO in late august and run the rim rocker trail in Moab late fall! Love both areas, actually haven’t been to Moab just trying to balance out life and a week worth of trips can be challenging!
@@Whitedogoverland both in one shot, Nice bro 👍. Rimrockers on my bucket list too. Badass how you could take Colorado off-road trails all the way to Moab pretty much. I hear you dude, dirt trails are how I find my center and balance. Keep up the awesome content🤟
Love the History you do along with some awesome views. I don't care what you drive. Just better never see you in a side by side LOL. keep up the good work
Crazy quality and history. You’ve made me want to get out there and try to overland with my Corolla. I’m 19 in college, got to do what I can with what I have. Saw the og rav4 and then saw u got this one, thinking about getting an adventure trim over a Tacoma in the future as a daily and light off-roader with good gas mileage.
@@Whitedogoverland Gotcha man. From what I’ve seen I’m taking your word for it. Keep up the adventures, watching them where none of this cool land exists is extremely refreshing
Love my Rav and I know some people look down on it but who cares. Oh no I don't have lockers and low gear! What ever will I do in the soft rolling mountains in Pennsylvania where the worst trails are in off road parks! Can't wait to see a walk around video of yours see what you have done to make it a little more capable.

Really love your channel. I’m also loving the new RAV4. I use an ‘18 forester and people love to give me crap for not having a try 4x4. But the fuel economy is great, it’s great on and off road, and fits my gear and family. Nothing more is needed. Stay safe, thanks for the great content.
