Love Chris Shontz. I watch your channel every Thursday and his every Saturday. Both you guys make such inspiring content. Thank you! 🙌🏻
The kids and I do too!
A place that is most certainly on my bucket list. Awesome having you run into @venture4wd !
Yes! It was so cool seeing him out there!
I've been lucky enough to see longhorn sheep while kayaking Canyon Lake in AZ. They are quite majestic.
I am here in Kofa now after seeing Chris’s video a week or so ago. This place is not to be missed!,,
Came back from 2024 searching for this episode where Kevin runs into Chris of Venture4WD…and it took you guys a whole year to go on a trip together!
Great episode! I’m glad I got to watch early without commercials on your Patreon site but it was worth watching again!
So awesome to see this video and realize that this will be one of the areas where my wife and I will be going on this years month long September trip. Can't wait to see the next videos from this amazing area. Thanks Kevin!
Man Kevin, every Thursday my list of places I want to go get’s longer. Thanks for the inspiration as always!
My two favorite Overlander channels run into each other on the trail! Most excellent.
That was fun….in the old days…..Now ,a four season ,two axel, travel trailer….minimal set up….. thanks for the view , beautiful. 👍🏻
Thank you for all the great videos. You are all in our prayers, stay well and safe. Cheers from Canada. R&D
So cool you ran into Chris - I saw his rig before you turned in - one of a kind
That was great!! Went out the following weekend with the herd of turtles and had an amazing weekend!! Can't wait to see the rest, and to see what Sarah was up to in New Mexico. Thanks for sharing Kevin!!
Love you guys. My #1 Overlanders. Keep em coming!
That’s funny! A couple weeks ago when both you and Chris mentioned y’all were headed to the same place, I told my wife “I bet they run into each other”.
And sure enough!!!
I can't wait to share your video with my friends lol. it is so so amazing. Thank you so much for sharing !!
If you hike palm canyon early in the morning near sunrise you'll have a really good chance on seeing the big horn sheep towards the top of the trail
Great video again as always! That scenery was incredible. I have been spending part of winter in that area the past few years, but have yet to explore Kofa. It definitely moved higher on my list after watching this video! Thanks for sharing.
We can't recommend it enough! Glad you enjoyed it!
Another fun episode. We UA-cam watchers appreciate the time and effort you put into creating the content!
"Always Home" instrumental - - - love it
Get video, especially when morning hits and you guys actually see where you are. I LOVE that feeling!
So cool to see you run into Chris. He is the one that got me caught up in watching these type of videos. totally made my day! Also keep an eye out for Eric of Nomadic Fanatic and Slim Potatohead from Canada. You guys are the elite 4 I watch faithfully! Also really love the backing the trailer down the trail part, would have made a truck driver blush. Great job!
Just found your channel tonight definitely worth the sub thanks again for taking us along on your adventure
Not really big on driving to a spot at night but it sure worked out well for ya. Thanks for taking us along on your travels. Cheers!!!
That was cool running into Chris. You both do such great jobs at telling a story. It's no wonder why 12 hours of editing is the norm. Thank you.
Two of my favorite overlanders in one video!
Thank you guys for the awesome content and continually pushing me get the family out. Goals to get a trailer that will fit all 4 of us plus our 2 pups. Thank you ken again ken from @wanderingrubicon for the patch!
Great video. Kofa and the surrounding BLM land has become my favorite Arizona winter trail system. Once deep into it, you may go days without seeing anyone (except perhaps random UA-cam celebrities, lol). Definitely a beautiful and rugged area. I hope this was just the first part of more in Kofa.
I will never forget your channel was the reason I bought a 4runner! Awesome vid!
4Runner's are amazing vehicles! Thanks for watching!
Amazing video! Wish I was out there with you.
^^I see, it ’s good to collect the camera Thank you for your hard work. 👍Stars and Stripes
Well done on this and other videos.
Are you serious!!!! My two favorite UA-camr's on one episode!! @lifestyleoverland @venture4wd
Cool and thanks for the north country videos
Nice video, keep them coming 👍
THAT WAS AWESOME SEEING CHRIS !
You running into Chris was funny for sure. The part were he says I would come out but I would have to put pants on was classic. Safe travels
I love your channel! I'm building out a trailer right now. I live in Van Horn TX and go down to Big Bend Ranch State Park all the time!
Thanks for sharing your Awesome adventures!
Lol...a guy in the desert in his jeep with no pants on, on the computer....I'd be good with a fist bump..🤣🤣🤣 Great vid as always!
I don’t see how you guys with trailers do it. I came from the RV world and having just a vehicle makes things so simple - which is why overlanding is so appealing to me. Add a trailer and it quickly becomes work and too much stuff. JMHO
Looks like my daily commute when I worked for maricopa county flood control... Nice stuff
Man that rabbit had some big ears!!!
Your trips are a amazing my friend.
haha that was very cool running into him I also subscribed to his channel
Hwy 191, East Arizona in the Apache Sitgraves Area! Best Camping and Adventure Area! My Home State! Morenci, AZ!
My fam is from Clifton! Rattlesnake canyon area is good too!
Awesome 👏
First video, new subscriber! Love your style - Dan from NE Minnesota
KOFA - King of Arizona Mine Hugh gold mine in the day. Very interesting story worth researching...
You're making me think about how to get back to AZ for a long weekend to do this area!
hello we will accompany you from Brazil. soon we hope to travel all over your country and all your parks on an expedition. your videos are very interesting and informative. keep it up, congratulations
Love your videos!! Have you ever thought about doing the Arizona Peace Trail? If you like Kofa, check it out! I’ve not done it, but the southern portion of the trail encompasses much of that area.
Ha! I'm getting married in a week's time right about where you camped! Stunning landscape with Castle Dome in the background. It is a fantastic hidden gem ;-)
Hope you explore the tucson area lots of great places to overland
Did anyone else notice at 13:21 the rock that looked like a giant tiki? It was right before you show skull rock. Very cool
Great work on putting this together. Fine adventure and seamless edits. Fresh Sub here ~>
Bout time we see a 4th gen. Woot!
Have you or can you do a video on front bumper/winch system? Have a 2014 T4R, want to add that
Thanks
CHRIS!!!!! What a great guy!!
Funny running into Chris Shontz from Venture4wd... have watched his whole series based on your recommendation
BREATHTAKING BEAUTY COLORS SCENERY VIEWS VIDEO ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ! ENJOYED !
I was hoping for a nice shot of the trucks all lined up with their trailers there! Is there an Insta post or anything you got? Great video though as always man.
That’s wild! You actually ran into Chris. OIIIIIIIO
wow. didn't know it snow down there kevin.
Another great video! Just spent the weekend out there! Love Kofa! You aren't kidding about Phoenix traffic! The 10 can be brutal
2:09 vintage Bronco in the passing lane??
That's what it looks like. In great shape, too.
OK I'm dying to know. The really long drive away shot at the start. Did you turn around all that way and come get the camera?
What tablet mount are you running?
It's Chris!!!
Chris from venture4wd! haha, looks like a crossover
Did you get some tips from Ronny on how to get to camp at night ;) Nice video
Shout out to Roane County Tennessee (Kingston) 1:30
already 4 days, but no new video, i always waiting your great picture and video... your vdeo can show situation at that moment and i can fill it.....
Всем привет! У меня вопрос, а что за шевроны у тебя в автомобиле на потолке???
Ha ha, you ran into Orange Guy (Chris), we have been waiting over a year for this to happen.
“Get off my lawn tourists!” - Mr Shontz probably lol.
You should start producing "Camp Cooking" episodes... along the lines of "Good Eats"....
Rumour has that Kevin wore the Pyjama pants 😂
Not getting to camp till after dark!? Sounds like Ronnie Dahl rubbed off on ya!😂
Those palm trees are California fan palms and have been there since the ice age!!! They're the only stand of native palm trees that were not planted by man in the Arizona desert!! So it's actually a big deal to see them!!!
We were informed by a Kofa park ranger (pack everything out yes poop to) leave no trace
As much as your in AZ lately when you all gonna just move out here. Haha

Whatever happened to a tent, a backpack and a portal stove? Why the need for all this equipment?
Never said it was needed. 👍
At first I thought I mis-directed to the channel of Adam the Woo.
Definitely not a secret.. in a lot of off road books. A lot of folks began to avoid it because cartels were robbing campers in the areas for supplies to get back to mexico after making a drop. There's some great terrain in the area for all capabilities.. wonderful history, and tons of animals. Keep your eye out for flat tire booby traps, they are placed along the roads there often by "environmentalist"
Oh jeez... when we were driving across AZ, we saw roads where they were doing check points...I'm guessing drug check points???
Wondering if they doing the Arizona peace trail over there
Are you by any chance confusing this with El Camino Del Diablo along the US Mexico border. We just did Kofa last weekend and only saw one other group. No flat tire booby traps. It was incredible.
@@artbalourdas negative. Talking about the Kofa.
Y'all sure eat strange stuff , we usually just have pork chops fried in bacon grease and a side of pork n beans with a cold PBR . Now that's eating the way it should be my friend. Mmmmm good
your video SANGAT BAGUS = awesome!! #indonesian language ...
👍🇰🇷👍한국에서 응원합니다
Where is star of the show?
Yes, it harbors cartels
I wouldn’t wanna come across a cartel
Chris was being overly polite.
Here is the BIGGEST problem with your videos..........
They are too damn good, they make me feel like Im right there camping with you guys... so the need to actually get out and camp for myself is rapidly declining. Might have to stop watching and start camping. :) All jokes aside... thanks for the great content. Love the editing skills. Safe roads for you and your family.
Loooongest hours EVER!!! 😴
