heres the adjustable fuel pressure regulator that you saw installed in this video:www.extremepsi...
Your videos are so helpful, thanks so much!!
I have to say I completely agree. Your terminology isn't too advanced for me. I understand what you're doing. I appreciate your videos man I know there old but keep posting
Oh wait... This is a fresh video! I came to see it done before I dig in my 1g laser rs. Gt35 turbo and intercooler 1000cc injectors and afpr. Got Almost everything to build but I definitely need a maf translator.
I've got a 2g translator sitting on a shelf from the maf install vid. Wish I could have utilized the scanmaster 3 in my 2g I used to have too. Sounds like your gonna have a fun ride soon👍
Yeah we r all interested in the next few videos. Cuse it’s like ur traveling down the same road I am man. Ur just a few miles ahead.. lol
If I’m not mistaking I believe the blue o rings are replacements to the ones that already come on the fittings for the regulator
That’s what I was thinking. Glad they came with it just got confusing in the moment😂
@@TPGDSM keep up the great content 💯
I found your channel the other day and I swear you are building your 2g almost part for part exactly the same as I am building my 1g.
That's awesome man! Cheap/used parts and some new. Love it 👍🔥
Excellent video man.
I just installed my fuelab 515 kit from extreme psi and for some reason the car doesn’t want to run anymore. Pressures at 43 but it only cranks… Gonna be honest I didn’t really look much into it as I was kind of rushing since I had to go to work.
I installed a 255 fuel pump along with 750cc injectors with the stock regulator still in and the car ran okay for about 5 minutes then was totally getting flooded with fuel. I imagine the stock regulator went out like you mentioned…. Well I then installed the fpr shortly after. i expected the car to run extremely rich. But I figured it would still be running. I don’t have any means of tuning yet but my ecm link and socketed ecu should be coming next week. But I figured I’ll start installing what I had now.
Just asking if you have any ideas why it wouldn’t start as everything seems to be hooked up fine and I don’t really have an idea why it shouldn’t be running as it was just running with the factory regulator before the install. Thanks for the video
Sorry for the late response, did you happen to figure it out?
Did you remove the stock regulator and blank it off?
Dis you ever figured it out @rafaelcastaneda3139
Por fin alguien muestra exactamente como montarlo en un dsm gracias por el brico
Awesome video, totally looking forward for more videos ! Keep it up bro
Thanks a lot man! And check us out on instagram@TodaysProjectGuide for info/parts reviews in-between episodes 👍
Thank you
Your very welcome my friend👍💯
Hi so what happen to the factory return line on the feul rail
@@whurnerheyns717 it connects to the bottom of the new regulator
Nice video. And very good install guide. Think i am buying a fuelpressure regulator. 😅 What is it you have around your exhaust manifold ?
I got a used FP manifold blanket from my buddy with the blue 2g i did an episode on. They have them for sale on extremepsi.com and so far look nice and help with the really high temps from the cast fp manifold.
love you right now for these videos lol
Great video helped alot for my install👍
with solenoid i do 43.5psi to regulator without vacuum to FPR.. after plug it she drop little psi to 38-39... and with revving the engine psi is going up maybe to max 43.5 :D
sorru for bad english
If you have ECMLINK you can open the misc tab and activate fuel pump on to see your base pressure. If not remove the vac line with engine idling, plug the port on the afpr and pinch the vacuum hose shut. The gauge will display your base fuel pressure. Aim for 43 psi. Torque down the adjustment nut and it should be set. Fuel pressure will raise 1:1 with boost. So if you run 43psi base fuel pressure with 10psi turbo boost pressure your fuel pressure should raise to 53psi. Hope this helps 👍
Is it normal for car to take longer to fire up after install ?
Normal, no. If it’s only an extra crank or two compared to before the install I wouldn’t worry. If it’s like 10 or more additional seconds of cranking I would verify my fuel pressure is set correctly and check the install.
Love these videos. You wouldn’t happen to be doing a cam install anytime soon, would you?
Once nicer weather rolls in were doing a complete head rebuild and clean. Lapping valves, cams, springs , retainers, seals and lifters. Eventually ending with a short block build😉
Also if your planning on installing cams and are unsure you can always pick up some tips in our episode "replacing valve seals" where the cams are removed. You can cam swap in a day. Accessories come off, valve cover, and cam caps. Pull the old cams and install the new ones. Re time the engine and put it back together. Service manual outlines the majority of the procedure👍
I don’t think you need sealant on AN fittings also the washers go in the fittings going into the regulator.
Thanks, did it for peace of mind and later regretted it. Slowly figuring things out at this point 🤣
I love the intro
Thanks man! Kept snowing the day we shot it😂 came out nice tho. 🤘🙌
255 won’t overrun your stock fpr I have one in right now using the stock fpr
Be that as it may. I had nothing but problems with my 1g's using the stock fpr with a 255. I started stock, ran a 190 for a year and when i upgraded to a 255 it was always pig rich. Added an old aeromotive afpr and problem solved. Maybe I could have gotten away with it but I had the extra money and time to add the afpr now. Guess it doesnt hurt just in case.
All is an-6?
👍
sick
are you planning on doing the updated lifters to fix the lifter tick? also excited to see more fuel upgrades :D
Yessir! I've already got the revised 3g lifters I'm just torn between throwing them in now or waiting for nice weather and doing them when I rebuild the head. But yes they WILL be swapped 😉👍
@@TPGDSM I’m excited to see a video on that! I wanna get mine swapped. The lifter tick is so obnoxious.
@@cjdavis247 you can do it without removing anything other than the valve cover
Nice video. And very good install guide. Think i am buying a fuelpressure regulator. 😅 What is it you have around your exhaust manifold ?
Thanks! Aside from the afpr install I did notice smoother idle, and the fuel trims up top in ecmlink needed some minor adjustments. Now my AEMWIDEBAND and AFRATIOEST in my logs is spot on👍
That is a forced performance turbo manifold blanket.
@@TPGDSM Nice. Looking forward to the pump installation 🙏💪🏽 keep up the good work and thanks for good videoes
