the output setting is related to your signal pipeline so you need to get a clean output from AF by using Black magic decklink to calibrated monitor, so if your monitor calibrated to Rec.709 gamma 2.4 so your output setting must be Rec.709 2.4 .
Yooo thank you so much for this. Been struggling after the recent update, used to use OCIO plugin and had everything setup but lately couldn't figure out what was happening. Many thanks!
At 2:32 when you change the Interpret Footage - Color: Override Media Color Space to rendering ACES - ACES cg, it defaults back to compositing_linear: ACES - ACEScg. I'm not sure if that matters. Also, for the Output Module Settings, "Output/Output - sRGB" gave me the exact color I had on screen in After Effects. The "Output/Output - sRGB (D60 sim.)" gave a slightly warmer and darker output.
The final render on this looks awful, there's no way you could send that to a client. Can anyone recommend professional C4d/Redshift workflow vids for ACES?

Great job. This is the only tutorial on this subject that got me anywhere. It also is about the only one that includes all the recent updates.
Finally one that's not 1 hour long, thanks!
exactly HAHAHAH

Helped a lot, thanks!
we need more c4d videos, please make more of them, your amazing!
i am not sure you can render 16 bit in aces, i think you need 32 bit in order to see aces displayed correctly
Straight up useful vid - cheers!

What is 16 bit float please?
It means that any non-beatuy AOV passes that don't benefit from being at 32bit (depth, etc), will be capped at 16bit, saving you some EXR file size.
Nice Thank you.@@efergusson
