I bought the Breakbeats kit I can't believe the amount of sound I can pull out of it. Plus they sound very good. I'm not sure how Ludwig is making money on that kit Good Stuff
Alec Wright I wouldn't say it's horrible, but rather awkward and not formed as well as it could be. DW has excellent customer service all around, too bad they don't make drums that sound as good as ludwig.
Jonah Martinez I know I'll probably get crucified for this, but Ludwig should seriously consider going the way of Gretsch with DW. So far it's looking great for both parties. Just on the hardware front I can't wait to see what DW and Gibraltar come up with now that they can work together. Plus it's novel to get these American drum companies to stick together.
+Carlo Von Sexron I get what you're saying but here's the thing why Ludwig is superior to the rest, in the end its about the 'sound' & that classic Ludwig 'tone' that wins me hands down! Other drum brands can come up with fancy new hardware & accessories but at the end of the day its the craftsmanship & dedication in making the best sounding drums is what draws me to Ludwig. I've played on all the rest & though some sound nice, I'm constantly comparing them to Ludwig. As for hardware, Ludwig's new Atlas Hardware in particularly the Atlas Mount is incredible!!! No more big fat rack chrome pipes covering the drum shell & finish. Basically all you see is pipes & clamps. Ludwig's Atlas Mounts, accessories & cymbal hardware bring the drums out again from the scaffold of hardware that reminds me more of a building construction site! lol
IMO, Ludwig's lugs on their drums looks so much better than DW's big round knobs.
every other lugs do
and the largeness of it isn’t distracting either, regardless of the diameter of the druns
I just bought a breakbeats kit, I love the thing. It breaks down and sets up in a jiff. and sounds great.
For the love of all that's sacred, can somebody just hit the copper phonic!!!

I love Ludwig Drums, but damn you're customer service and interaction is horrible.

I agree. They run their business extremely well.
