    These are some amazing points and ideas man! This is definitely how I see housing being implemented if they ever DO decide to do it.
    In terms of how the house is designed and decorated, I for sure think that a "Sims-style" outlook should be how it's pulled off. You're given a plot of land to which you design the shape and height of the house and having themed wall/floor/roof/interior skins that are earned through reputation.

      @@louieflingem housing skins from reputation just makes the most sense at least for the race/faction specific styles.

    ESO Housing System but in WoW would be amazing. Houses physically in world as part of the world itself, instanced so everyone can unlock it and use it, freely accessible across all alts, furniture can be freely crafted and bought (and easily exchangeable across all unlocked/owned houses), with recipes discoverable by doing content. You can even have assistants roam, and you can even set the pathways for how the AI paths around the place. To get a house, you just need the gold to purchase and there is no stupid auction economy, or neighborhood, tied to it. Its just Breezehome, but its your apartment in the middle of Stormwind and you can freely walk to it after spending time at the auction house selling or buying the latest haul or drinking in the inn after the 50th raid wipe. Absolute bliss. What is better is Blizzard already have the perfect system to implement in-world instances and the environment/asset art team will have more cool stuff to design for world building in future expansions, plus new content people can grab from the trading post.

      Oh yeah I forgot to mention the trading post, that would be another great way to give stuff for housing.

    Anywhere in the world, yes, and on a floating island. Alts living there as well is a really cool idea! Blizzard, pls make this happen!

      Lol is it? I haven't looked at how they are doing it yet. Guess I'll have to go look at that

    The garrison was a hot mess. it had it good parts but it was most bad because once it was over. it had little use. I mostly use it as a port because it is free.
    It saves you money here and there but not as much now. It was gold when crafting was real stupid and before the nerfs.

    • @RooksTavern
      @RooksTavern  7 днів тому +2

      Yeah the garrisons were not what we were looking for. They isolated players and didn't allow for the fantasy of building or customizing your own space.

      @@RooksTavern Still it could be use for a base to start from for player hosing. It had a a lot of functions that were nice.you seen your battle pet run around . You had a stable to see your mounts in . To bad they had nothing for armor sets on display like they had in some class halls.
      "trophy' on display is a must have for player housing.

      @@blackgriffinxx yeah the battle pets and mounts were good and I think should be included in any player housing. I think having access to mining and herbalism without needing the professions was a bad idea as it reduced the need to interact with other players.

    i love you are trying but for blizzard to see this, or even think of implementing this in your vission.
    Well buddy you would have more luck getting hit by the same lightning twice

      Oh yeah I'm pretty sure this will never get seen by blizzard, but I still like doing the thought exercise and contributing to the conversation
