yoo been workin on it homie, finally got it to a place where it's good enough to share I'll be startin the video tmrw probs. I've had a buncha other stuff goin on my bros game that's been under NDA is launchin in a couple weeks so been workin on gettin vids ready for that
you get a +6 hit to a spec rune and a auto crit on a fireblast that can be used while casting so that pretty much goes with hot streak (didnt know that about it going to head slot. you get an arcane version of fire blast or a ice orb. pretty underwealming
Everyone, stop complaining and wait until next week when the hot streak is moved to helmet. Once they do, you’ll see mage is goated

still a bit underwhelming for sure, I think advanced warding will always be the play over this because of how strong that rune is now, healers being able to dispel while tossing out fire/frost ward and mana shields will be higher value than this in most situations. I can see the shield working well for certain boss fights in raid

Frost is alwasy going to be stronger in pvp and weaker in pve because of the way the kit is designed - its all about freezing and cc, which you can't do to raid bosses so like half the talents don't even apply to pve. Frost mage was honestly closer to fire mage than I expected in phase 3 with the winters chill FFB tech running with a fire mage who's scorching
first of all, by moving hotstreak to head they killed mage pvp when you til this point could at least have hotstreak and brain freeze and potentially get a kill. secondly, a pve andy using fireblast and pyro in his rotation on bosses will make you oom so fast into the fight that you can say bye bye to your parses. fucking ridiculous. make hotstreak a talent in fire tree or a base talent.
I don't disagree with you, the sad reality is that sod has never been balanced for pvp since the beginning. Mage pvp has felt like shit compared to other versions the whole time because the entire kit in vanilla was designed around control - now there are too many outs with too much burst for our control to matter we just get 1 shot

Dude if you're using hot streak and deep freeze your Speck is total garbage. You really shouldn't be playing a mage. This is literally one of the most overpowered things they could have done
