I was randomly thinking, what TFL does really well is having two people doing a review or adventure. They just pull it off so well. The conversation, banter and friendliness reflects really well on the culture at TFL. It doesn't seem to matter who the duo are, but Jen and Mary have done a few together and do this brilliantly.
Love this! I’m 18 and daily drive a 1966 mustang and can’t agree with you more. I don’t drive my car because it’s the most comfortable or reliable. I drive it for the thrill. Whether it’s from the rumble of its small block V8, feeling the old suspension leaning as I take on a corner, or listening to classic 50s/60s hits while driving, nothing brings me more joy than driving this car. Great video and keep up this kind of content!
Power brakes were an option - right there with power steering - lol. At least with my 67 RS Camaro Convt. The only thing power was the split glass power top! :)
@@JerryCollins101 Sweet or should I say "Cool"! Funny how the options were laid out on them. My favorite option was on my 72 El Camino & 77 Suburban (tilt wheel & both power steering & power brakes).....heat was nice but that's what more clothes and blankets are for.
"You wont find Apple Car play, wireless charging pads or usb ports" Good, I just want to drive and get where I'm going whilst enjoying a sweet car 🤷♂️
Car reviews are one thing, but seeing two genuinely enjoyable people driving one and enjoying the hell out of it as people would have done when it was new is another. This was a joy to watch 😎👍
Good stuff. Don’t listen to the handful of naysayers out there. This is a great counterbalance to the Tommy/Chase vids. Besides the fact that it’s a good business move, lots of different angles is always useful and entertaining. Keep it up.
Get it in the 4 speed manual that small block will wake up, I would love a 60s Mustang personally I have owned a couple retro modern convertible mustangs with the 4.6 and just loved driving them around and flying through the corners.
great video ladies...Jenn..I am very impressed with your classic car knowledge...it is nice to see the younger generations get to appreciate the cars of OUR days!!!
I was just thinking the CS was taking up barn space, then Jen & Mary made one of your best vids with it! 😅 Jen knows good ol' music! Wonder if she dares to spin some early Yes or Genesis?
I just had a thought, the distance between the first Mustangs and now is roughly equal to the very first automobiles to the introduction of the Mustang. Feeling old now.
I've always been a fan of the 60's mustangs but a little over 30 years ago I saw a I believe a 67 mustang in person and I remember the color too it was a lite yellow and I was working at a garage that's sadly no longer in business when I saw it and I remember that we had to replace the fuel pump on it and I also remember going to auto parts store to get one and that's the day I really fell in love with mustangs and 60's cars in general my 3 favorite cars and I would love to own in a 67 mustang, a 67 to 69 camaro and of course the 57 chevy bel air.
There was a different version for their market in Colorado called the High Country. Had a '66 Mustang when I was 23. 4 barrel A code 289. 4 speed manual. 225HP though mine had the engine rebuilt. A lot of fun. Tin-y sound; no insulation to speak of. Parts are still cheap & plentiful, huge aftermarket following for someone looking for their 1st classic car. I recall buying a new aftermarket chrome bumper for $75US. New carpet, seat belts & other small parts - all shipped to my door in Canada at very reasonable prices. That was 30 years ago. Yet, with over 1 million sold for model years 64 1/2 to 66 and being a simple platform, you will find no other classic with parts so plentiful.
You missed the entire point. This is a 56 yr old car. She said it was slow, noisy, didn't ride well, and they never even got it to 60 MPH. What they did do is ride in a time machine. It took them to what they imagined 1968 was like and they enjoyed every minute of it. They laughed. They sang. They had fun. Those are, by far, the best attributes a classic car has to offer.
Yes they’re just not worth the ridiculous prices that people are asking for them now. Like 90s Japanese imports and early 2000s beaters. Oh and Tjs and Ljs
The 60's. An interesting battle between the US muscle cars and say the Jaguar Etype. I'll admitI'll go for the Jag. Or the MGB as a lower-cost alternative. I'll admit I soent my first 3 years olf driving using the family 1972 MGB GT so I may be baised.
Good stuff here - love it and it brings back the memories!!! 2 friends out in a classic ride being silly and having fun! Singing in key - what a concept! Cant wait to see more being this is the Classic page!
Great new approach to automobile videos. I don't know if you invented the info-filled fun banter session, but TFL is perfecting it. I had a 1968 Ford F100, 3-on-the-tree, no PS or PB = Loved it. Keep it up!!
Rebodied Falcon. Later, rebodied Pinto. Then a rebodied Fairmont. It was a good formula. Now that it’s on its own platform, they can’t sell enough to keep it in production. It’s supposed to be a fun and stylish cheap car for young people just starting out on their careers, not a supercar.
Luv the first gen-6-4/5/6, but, they cultural phenomenon not a great car. Penny pinching accounts seriously compromised the structural build, but give me a 2+2 with the Hypo and I would be in heaven.
Great video. I knew they'd never said anything about getting rid of that car. I hope this video does well so maybe you guys can have more adventures in it. I used to have a 66 and my dad had a 65 so this is my jam. Can you dig it? Lol Thanks guys. I love this car
Both ladies are seats are way too far back. Move them forward girls Driver can hardly tough the brake pedal and added benefit, there would be rear seat leg room!
Agreed, also impressed. Wouldn’t be surprised if one or both of these ladies had some voice training in their past. More a cappella form Jen and Mary please!
Great video! GT/CS came back in 1987 (limited models), 2007, and almost every model year after have been produced since then, except 2010 and 2015. Again great video!
Thank you for socking it to us, because it was indeed groovy… I could practically smell the old car smell of musty interior and gas from the carburetor!
Cool cool cool! I had a ‘67 mustang that I drove out to Canada and brought my future wife back to Cali. So very good memories came back watching your video. Of course you start singing in it, it’s a car that is all about fun.
I owned a 65, 66, 67 mustang and you two are not qualified to review cars. They are just saying what they read off Google. Come on TFL. I know you want to grow, but this ain't the way.
my first car was a 1967 mustang, my mom stole my money i saved and bought it. it was the worst car i ever owned and i learned to hate ford because of it. it was junk a horrible car and i will never forgive her for it.
Loud as heck- The ride terrible The sound loud Wouldn't change a thing Sounds like she's driving my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited 6-speed It's the experience, and i love the Wrangler Definitely, I would buy that old Mustang
The next time you girls review an EV and make the inevitable stop for recharge. Instead of eating in a restaurant, stay outside tailgating and sample/review an MRE or other meal. Have a backpack of food, utensils, electric coffee pot, etc. ready to go and just toss it in the vehicle. When I used to make long trips, I always kept a 24-hr. survival pack with me.
Maybe best episode at TFL history! Thanks ladies and hopefully we see more of you two and classic cars!❤

I had a '66 and a '69. The brakes were as follows: Stand on the brake and car says "you want something?"
Power brakes were an option - right there with power steering - lol. At least with my 67 RS Camaro Convt. The only thing power was the split glass power top! :)

@@robb4866 The '66 was a black 2+2, the '69 was red with a black rag top. Oh, the '66 was a 289 HP with a C4, the '69 302 3 speed manual.

Good, I just want to drive and get where I'm going whilst enjoying a sweet car 🤷♂️
Who needs Apple car play when you can just sing oldies? 😉
The best, most fun video TFL has ever produced!

This is proof that touchscreens are overrated.

These two are so entertaining. They should just have one episode a week with these two driving something interesting.
I just had a thought, the distance between the first Mustangs and now is roughly equal to the very first automobiles to the introduction of the Mustang. Feeling old now.
Disk brakes were still an option.
The ladies are wonderful. You have such a great team at TFL. Keep it cool.
I’ve only seen 1 CS in person, back in the early 1990’s, in Denver. I loved the Shelby styled rear.
This car is back in the garage. We got a bunch of snow this weekend...
Glad it’s not Roman singing!!!
The bad thing about first gen mustangs is the truck floor is also gas tank.
They make conversions that aren't too hard for much safer fuel systems.
More Jen and Mary please! They are delightful. Knowledgeable and entertaining.? They even sing!
I prefer the 67 models but the CA Special is pretty cool.
Not a huge fan of you guys bringing these things out on the salted roads. Smh
Very beautiful 68 Mustang
The 60s were definitely the best years ever! Wish I could be transported back in time to drive 289 Mustang and Chevelle Ss396s
With Brendan gone, a breath of fresh air was needed and these girls rocked it out. Please put Tommy and his Dad out to pasture.
Who do you think hired these girls🤔

The California Special Mustang arrived at the dealership on the short truck.

Reality is, pretty much all old cars are awful to drive. It’s really not about the driving experience, I just like the way they look.
nice mustang.

Loved, loved, loved this episode! I'll bet you're still using the 60's words - Sock It To Me Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reminiscent of the South Park episode where the word “s**t” was uncensored and there was a word counter on the screen.

No
