Thanks I'll be diving my prop off in SW Florida. I think I'll put a drop cloth under the area as I'm not that confident and our water vis sucks. Great help to see how it's supposed to be done.
Hardest part was getting the cone gear out. On the VP MAX you have to twist and back blow it out. Did the vise grips on the tiny surface area cause some scratches? You bet cha. LOL But yes got it off thanks, your video was inspiring I owe you a beverage some time some where....
svbluehighway I use an L-shaped allen wrench on the cone gears. You just need to stick something in the hole that will grab the interior side of the gear and wiggle it out.
nice clear vis- I used to dive SF Bay and typically did not enjoy such clarity- Love the 9mm don't miss the cold either- you deftly earned your money
