🍵 Do you prefer hot or cold drinks?
Both
hot
I was raised in a household where we thought cold drinks were unhealthy so it's just so nostalgic drinking a drink that I normally drink with ice, but hot.
Cold! Most hot drinks gross me out.
I like both. I usually have iced drinks most of the year and when it gets cold in the winter season is when I switch to hot drinks. 🧋☕️❤️
Cold
Idk: This looks genius & efficient, not lazy.
What about cleaning?
I think she meant she doing it differently in an easier way
Or maybe your just hella lazy
@@baespa isn't that efficient
@@himaririku5289 pretty efficient without getting shitty lumps.
"But not like super lazy where i get those matcha lumps in my drink"
.. i feel attacked
Matcha needs heat to dissolve and vigorous whisking/mixing. :) If the liquid is not hot enough, it simply won't dissolve. Good luck!
@@NasikaSakurawho asked? ik your dad didnt as you dont have one
@@NasikaSakura I don't think that's a problem, I think you need to use sifter
@@NasikaSakura I don't think that's a problem, I think you need to use a sifter
@@lemonjuice6715 Ah, you should use a sifter anyways! I didn't think to mention that because that's something we do for tea powder management in classes, regardless of what we're making. Thank you for mentioning it! Storing the matcha sealed in the fridge helps keep it fresh longer as well, and controls humidity. :) High humidity makes the matcha tend to clump more, and sifting much more vital.
god I really need to invest in a small sifter don't I? also that frother looks wonderful. I usually drink matcha lattes iced!
Invest? They’re like three dollars
@@sebastyanmeixger just what i was abt to say
@Salama Alhammadi the word invest doesn't imply a large amount of money. it's also just a figure of speech
the small sifter is not neccesary. Mine comes out great without it
what does it taste like lol
I feel like a lot of people are caught up in making things aesthetic all the time! This is SOOOO realistic!!
The traditional way is not just for aesthetics
How to make easy matcha latte
Step 1: Acquire a milk frother
I mean you really gotta have a milk frother, handheld frother, or matcha whisk if you want to make matcha lattes!
This is the easiest, requiring no hands.
But there's a lot of cheaper frothers out there.
Edit: and you can use the generic blender you already have for starters. You don't need the specialized frother.
A handheld frother works great
… I make iced matcha in a blender. 😬 a friend caught me and looked at me like I was the devil.
Nah that’s what I do. It’s efficient as hell
Damn they be doing that at Starbucks 🤣😭
@@highimally3520 I wish they did that at my Starbucks. They give it a two pump shake then pour it in my cup lumps and all. 😞
@@notasuspect3722 goddamnn nooo
@@highimally3520 I’m sorry! But it’s so fast! And convenient! 😞
Omg now I want a matcha latte 😂
It doesn't taste good
@@dikshyapokhrel998 it does to me.. I used to drink them all the time
@@breetonee1526Only the sweetened shit.
I put honey in a round - bottom mug, sprinkle in my matcha and use a silicone pastry brush to mix it. The matcha is completely homogeneous with the honey so when you add your liquid, it's just mixing honey + milk and it's totally smooth no clumps
Love this. I always mix my matcha like I do my cornstarch: just add a touch of water to make a paste, then slowly drizzle in more hot water/milk while whisking the whole time.
This is genius thank u
My lazy way is usually making a paste with a little vanilla syrup (or sweetener) and a bit of milk just to make s thick paste
Then I keep stirring and adding milk until it's as best as I can incorporate it
But I also like mine iced personally
I do that too!
Same!
I used to do the same thing when I worked at a coffee bar! But, when people got it iced and unsweetened I used to do like half an ounce of hot water and toss the matcha in that to make the "paste". Then I'd add the milk and ice after I whisked out the chunks! Works like a charm!
eyyy my ppl
My lazy way is to throw a little vanilla syrup and matcha powder directly into a glass, then stir that with a handheld whisk WITHOUT turning it on just yet. Then I add a couple tbsp of water and whisk that together (with the whisk on now) until fully combined. Then I add coconut milk and ice. That way I only have to use the one glass.
I do 2 cups of oat milk (cause it’s sweeter) then add in a teaspoon of matcha green tea powder. (I don’t sift it 😁) Then I blend it up in an emersion blender. And after that I add ice. And if I’m fancy I add on some Trader Joe’s coconut whipped cream.
This is an even lazier way. 🤤
Sounds soooo good
This is how I’ve been making my oatmilk pistachio matcha latte too! I put the milk in my nespresso frother, 1 teaspoon of matcha powder, 1 teaspoon of pistachio syrup and homemade vanilla syrup. I set it up to cold froth. It is super delicious.
pistachio and matcha is a heavenly combination
"Efficiency is just clever laziness"

I’m hooked on iced matcha latte’s 😍
I use about 1/4 cup heated water (not too hot or it will burn the matcha which makes it bitter) and add a teaspoon of matcha to it. I use Ippodo matcha which is very fine and I rarely see any lumps so I don’t even bother sifting it. Then, I use my handheld frother that I got for like ten bucks on Amazon and it’s ready in a matter of seconds. I pour it over a glass of almond coconut milk with ice and add a drop or two of vanilla extract & about half a teaspoon of agave syrup. Give it a little stir and I just about inhale it because it’s so good ❤️
All you have to do to avoid the clumps is mix a little bit of water to the matcha powder which makes a paste and then you can add it to the milk.
This looks so good🤤
Nah its not
Bec i try matcha it was 🤮
i recently turned my matcha into a syrup! Dissolved it in some boiling water with a little bit of honey and put it into a squeeze bottle! Then i just fill a cup with about 2 tablespoons and it mixes into hot or cold milk 🫶🏻 i work at a coffee shop and this is what we do. Life changing!
Truly yours, i love that LAZY matcha! I've tried it, it really easy to make!
I love matcha lattes! Though I always end up with matcha lumps in my mug when I make it at home. Where did you get your milk frother? I would love to get one.🍵🙏
P.S love your vids Jeanell.❤️
From amazon, i have one on my wish list!
@@strawburybounce thanks👍
Sifter will help with the lumps. If u don't have a frother, use a blender bottle. I do this all the time and it taste really good.
The best way would be with a blender and with ice in it. Which will look and taste just like the starbucks' green tea frapee.
Love lattes, as long as soy milk is used, I get an immediate upset stomach if I drink too much dairy milk
you can also use chopsticks, fork, or regular whisk to mix the macha with your preferred liquid. i use chopsticks in a zigzag motion. no lumps.
This is how I make mine tooo!!!🥰
I've watched so many of her videos when I look at the title and find a word with all caps I automatically read it in my mind the same way she does
SAME
I just heat up water and add my matcha latte powder lmao
If you want it hot. I think the way she made it is a cold or refrigerator temp matcha latte.
I mean, you COULD put it in a coffee cup and then put it in the refrigerator to keep it cool OR just add ice. 😊
Milk frothers are the best, so convenient
I have a traditional matcha tea set and I adore it, I also have a milk frother at home so I'll try this when I'm in a rush.
The face at the end after the sip lol so cute 💕
I just make the powder into a smooth paste with a little bit of water, smooshing the lumps with a teaspoon. Then I add water or milk. Works for me.
That is a really cool way. I usually just through some milk, syrup or honey, and matcha in a mini blender, blend, and put it in a cup.👍🏾
Now that's and lazy way. I MUST try it. Thanks 😊
you literally saved my life, i have been looking on how to make fast and good matcha for years, and now i just gotta get that thingie and boom! problem solved, thank you so much
Matcha tip : the casein found in animal milk reduce by ~30% our absorption of matcha's polyphenols. Vegetal milk is not only an equally delicious option, your body gets all the goodness matcha has to give 💚
Or maybe it doesnt really matter lol, only nerds drink matcha latte for the polyp fennels
@@blobbita Well I'm a nerd, what are you gonna to about it, Ritablob?
this is the video i've been looking for all my life (the last week at least)
I got a way that doesn’t even need a machine OR a sifter. Just a spoon, the powder, milk, and cream
I’ve only used heavy cream since I use that for other recipes too. You add a tiny bit of heavy cream to the powder, stir with the spoon. It should be like a paste, then continue adding a little bit of the cream at a time and stirring once or twice. After you have a smooth LIQUID then you can pour in the milk and stir. Tada! Hope this helps!
So cool! Love your videos!
YESSSS I DO THIS LIKE EVERYDAY
My lazy matcha latte (I don’t have a milk frother):
- In your mug mix matcha powder with either sugar syrup, maple syrup or honey
- at first it will look dry but keep mixing with a spoon at some point it makes a wet paste
- add milk that’s already warmed up in a saucepan, or even lazier: top with cold milk and put in microwave
- once the milk is warm because it’s a matcha paste and not matcha powder it mixes with the milk perfectly, never any lump!
Wow I'll try this!
GREAT IDEA. I have a nespresso and one of those came with it but never used it!!!
This is so smart!
Oohh maple syrup sounds like a good add. I'll have to try that the next time I make one.
Girl, I love you! 💕
I need to try this
Wow that looks amazing!!!
I'm a tea student, and we try to spread the understanding that "tea ceremony" is a misnomer because it is not religious. I think "sacred" has a similar misunderstanding with it. There is certainly a "traditional way of doing it," which varies by which established tradition you're following, but it's traditional for being old and respected, and not for being a religious ceremony. It was misinterpreted due to Orientalism in the modern period by western and European scholars who travelled the Asian continent and wrote about their "discoveries" but recorded them through the lense of their own western and European experience without trying to view it from the lense of the culture it is writing about. The methodical practice tea senseis describe as simply "logical," and not ceremonial. A lot of Buddhist references appear in tea utensils and scrolls, but again, tea practitioners typically do not make and display their own creations, but the creations of others who have dedicated their lives to the betterment of society, regardless of religious affiliation. And this tea practice was developed in a country in which most people were aware of Buddhist symbols and mantras, regardless if they themselves are Buddhist, and Buddhist symbolism is rampant within that society. Also, this means a lot of people recognized as having dedicated their lives to the betterment of society also happen to be Buddhists, but they don't have to be Buddhists. Calling tea gatherings "tea ceremonies" confuses The Way of Tea with Zen Buddhist tea ceremony used for meditation. The former is a secular in practice and welcomes people of any religious affiliations equally, and their interpretations of the words of the scroll equally. The latter is a religious ceremony as part of a specific religious practice. So, the tea practice I follow, and any I am aware of, prefer to stop this misunderstanding by instead translating Chadou literally as "Way of Tea," and temai as "tea gathering." 🍵 I hope you enjoy the matcha, no matter how it is prepared!
This was very interesting! Thank you for the lesson 🙏🏾
Thanks for this, it was good read 🙏
Yah it's just a traditional custom and past time essentially.
This is a VIBE. Thank you Jeanelle!!
Thank you!!!!!
I did it this way tn and it came out perfect!! ty for this! :)))
Excellent tip!!! Thanks!
Genius and simple!! I was looking for something like this.❤
Its BUTIFULL
Got to love that frother!
This is how I always do it with my aeroccino and I think it’s pure genius 🍵
wow looks yummy!!
Soooo helpful!
I use my milk frother this way too, it makes life so much easier, especially when you want hot chocolate that requires no work. God bless the milk frother latte hack
Brilliant idea 👍
Thank you for the tutorial it’s so good😮💨
Looks good 👍
So simple yet it looks soo yummy! 😋
You’re so fun and adorable. Your videos brighten my day.
Love your intonation
Just tried and YUM so good
So smart!
Your skin is beautiful!
I loved this 🥰
Delicious!🤤🍵💚
this is how i make mine most days because i just dont have the time with a toddler and they come out delicious.
looks delicious
Tbh getting a spoon is easier than buying frother and make a paste first so it's not lumpy
Thanks for teaching me something new 🥺
I do this too!
I made my matcha latte just like that
Omg just bought this steamer, excited to try this out!
Did u try?
Looks
Fabulous 👌 👏 👍
Smart idea
If you are gonna sweeten it, I like to mix the sugar with the matcha, then add a tiny bit of hot water to make a loose paste. The sugar helps break up matcha lumps. Then I add milk or whatever. Really easy.
I just put matcha powder in water/milk and use a regular whisk. no lumps and it takes like a minute
Omg I‘ll try this 😍
the way i literally just added matcha and milk to a bottle and shook it😭😭😭
I have the same frother. Love it❤
You've inspired me to try matcha at home for the first time!
Genius!
That’s how we did it at my coffee shop I use to work at too! Mini sifter for the win
Yoooooo I'm gonna try this tonight!!!!!!😍😍😍 Thanks for the lazy tip!😜
Yeah I vibe with this
This is brilliant
Try Aki Matcha ❤
MATCHA IS MY FAV BRO
I watched this video earlier today and it made me crave matcha latte so I got some matcha powder and now im drinking my matcha while watching this again😋
I work at dunkins and we have matcha powder. I always put it through the oasis, our frozen drinks maker (its cleaned after every drink dont worry) and throw the milk and powder in. If you just mix it with the spoons you get clumpy bits, but the oasis makes it much better and mixes it so well!
Just got a milk frother and trying it this way! :)
add whipped cream, some mocha dust on top, and a green straw- YUM
I actually like the lumps on my SB Hot Matcha Latte. Feels like the real deal. 🥰
I love this! My super quick "lazy" trucker method: I take a 1/2 empty water bottle, put in matcha powder and honey inside, fill it to the rest of the way w milk (I like chobani oat it's the most creamy), close the lid and shake the shit out of it. Turn it around upside down to really disolve the honey, side to side, shake shake shake. It comes out great every time & no mess, and if you shook it enough, there won't be lumps 😁 when I have more time I use those small electric hand frothers to mix it all up in a cup.
Very smart..not lazy !😎
I never knew how much I needed this milk frother until today
Your satisfied look is priceless
Please share info about the milk frothier you’re using
this is exactly what i do! if you put the milk and matcha in a blender with ice, it makes a yummy frappucino.
If you have a jet sprayer as a part of the sink you can make matcha/instant coffee to make and whip it, has a little foam ontop all from jet water
