My FIRST DAY in KRAKOW | POLAND'S Most Visited City
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лют 2024
- I'm taking a train from Wroclaw to Krakow today. It's my first time visiting this famous Polish city and I'm beyond excited. After a short 3 hour train ride I arrived at the Krakow main station. After a walk through a mall, I arrived at a Plaza. From there it was a short walk to the Florian's Gate and Barbican Castle. Then the Main Square and famous Basilica were the next stop. It is the most magnificent town square I've seen in Poland. From there I walked through a bazaar and later checked in to the Meininger Krakow Hostel. Which is an amazing new hotel.

Safe travels!! New city.. you’re making me want to visit you this spring :D
Thanks Elliot, you should really come to Poland. It's an amazing country.
I am impressed with the city. Lots of large buildings and archways. No snow and noticed all the leaves on the ground. Have a great time there and be safe.
Krakow is one of Poland's most beautiful cities, some say it's the most. Some amazing architecture here and lot's of it. Thank you, hope you're enjoying Valencia. 🙏🏻😎
Funny watching you walk round in circles but that's what exploring is about I suppose 👍
I like to show what a real travel experience is like. 😁
I caught myself screaming - "You are going wrong way !" many times, or "Why don't you use the underpass to cross under the street!". I guess I make the same mistakes when I am exploring Spain or France...
@@richardpuskarz2275 That's quite funny. We all get lost traveling some times. I like to show things as they are in my videos. Happy travels to you!
In the UK, Kraków was voted #1 Best City Break three years in the row (in some travel magazine), beating Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Berlin and Prague.
That's very impressive and I'm so glad that you recognize how great of a destination Poland is. Thanks for sharing.
Looks beautiful and whatta great hostel!!!
The city and hostel are both fabulous. 🇵🇱👌😎
Great video. The old town square is super beautiful. Looking forward to seeing more
It's probably the most beautiful Old Town Square in all of Poland. Thanks, more videos from Krakow are on the way.
Interesting city.
It's a really unique city.
It is said to be the oldest market hall in Europe. The one in the center of Krakow.
That is quite interesting. Thanks for sharing. 🙏🇵🇱
Greetings from Kraków :)
Thank you, greetings to you as well. 🙏
A beautiful city for sure. Poland has some very interesting cities. The architecture is very nice. Nice hostel and can't beat that price. So very modern. A lively city for sure. Nice video Kerry.
Krakow is truly and incredible city. The hostel was super nice, it's brand new in fact.
Thankyou my friend
Thanks so much for commenting and watching.
Kerry ... one more tip about polish language. Everytime when you have a word ending CKI or CKA, for example MARIACKA, CKA is not just 2 sounds, but 3. Try pronounce it like TZKA. C=TZ. In english when you got CK, C letter is silent. Not in polish language. C you always pronounce like TZ. So for example in Wrocław: DWORZEC ŚWIEBOCKI you sdhould pronounce ŚWIEBOTZKI, not just ŚWIEBOKI. I hope you will get it quick :) Take care.
That actually helps a lot. I get confused between Spanish, English and Polish pronunciation sometimes. Dzieki.
Thanks
Thanks for the Super Grumpy Barista. 🙏🏻☕😎
Krakow is the 3 rd biggest city in Poland.
The 3rd? I thought it was the 2nd. Who is 2nd?
Hey kerry, im happy to see your channel is growing up rapidly. That dog was a westy 😂
Also see your polish has improved alot....keep up the good work..........
Ps: Come on tigers, don't be as so trash as kansas royals, hahahahaaha
Thanks, buddy, such a pretty little pup. Being in Poland, I'm starting to pick up a few things. 🇵🇱😎
maybe that train passed through Berlin before and got its Graffiti there ...
Hahaha, maybe, it doesn't look like a normal Polish train.
POLregio :)
You are very lost lol. You exited out the wrong side at first which is why you had to circle around the building and go back the way you came. Krakow is awesome by the way! 🇵🇱
Yes, I was a bit lost. I just followed most of the people leaving. It usually works, but not this time. There aren't really any signs as to where to go. Krakow is incredible!
I almost sent someone to rescue you from the train station
Hahaha, I think I needed someone to. At least send them with food hopefully. 😁
Krokaw or Warsaw, which is ypur favorite and Why? Thanks in advance
Krakow is more beautiful and historic. While Warsaw has a lot of modern architecture and skyscrapers. I think that they both offer something quite different. If I had to choose, it would be Krakow.
What is a name of the hostel?
The hostel is called Meininger Krakow, they have Meininger hostels all over Europe and they are normally fantastic. This one is new and it's excellent. They even have a game room in the basement, which I forgot to mention.
Not Krakov but Krakoov the pronunciation like in a book.
I'm glad to know the Polish pronunciation. The English version is how I pronounced, just like War - saw and var- sha- va is the Polish one. But I will let people know on my next visit. Dziekuje bardzo.
Is the coffee in Poland as good as in Spain?
They have great specilaty coffee in Poland. But it's more expensive here for some reason.
@@TravelAddictGuy Probably because Poland never had colonies. That's why it's more expensive. Spain negotiates with countries like Colombia, Guatemala, México because they were former colonies and I think that's why coffee is less expensive in Spain. It has to do with the yearly Ibero America get together Spain has in Iberoamérica to discuss diplomatic relations with the former colonies etcetera.
I was thinkin about miko and you said the catman....and i said, true!!, i had forgotten he was the catman
Do u know anything about him actually?
....
Yes, we are in contact again. He is still living in La Palmilla of Malaga, basically the hood. He's doing well and was happy to hear that people are asking about him.
I've shared rooms with strangers, but I always knew they would be other women. I did not know they don't segregate by sex in hostels.
Most hostel rooms are mixed men and women. Some hostels do have women only dorms. In fact, I've seen a few hostels that are only for women.
@@TravelAddictGuy in this clown world, wouldn't be surprised to see a dude identified as a woman in the women's room?
DUDE... ive missed ya.... graffiti looks cool. stop bitin' about it. ur as is so lost BTW.
Nice to hear from you again. Krakow is an amazing city. 🇵🇱
@@TravelAddictGuy DUDE u did cut me off.
@@sawomirmarnotrawny1694
Nah, kerry never ghost anyone, just you, lol (just kiddin)
Kraków is a beautiful, good place to stay as a base so you can go to the concentration camps and salt minds in a day, Kraków though is too touristy for me, too expensive especially if buying amber, you'll have fun there though, lots to do and explore
I think that's great advice. It's beautiful, but quite touristic as well.
those guys collecting money are of fighting age: they should head back to Ukraine to protect their country.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
24:58 you should not read the oppinions on Internet. I mean, maybe a small procentege, like 7-10 % max have a negative opinion towards Ukrainians. And those people are very loud about their opinnions in the Internet but do not represent the majority. I mean, of course the support for Ukraine in two years changed from "lets give Ukraine everything we can, so they can wit the war" to "I hope Ukraine wins the war, but lets focus on our problems".
BTW, I live so close to Krakow (like 120 km), and I was not on the Wawel castle since I was a kid 🤣
I think you're right about the vocal minority. But as you said, the longer this war goes on. The more peoples support starts to wane. I do wish the best for Ukraine and that this and all wars will end. Krakow is wonderful, I'm so glad that I visited it. 🙏🏻
@@TravelAddictGuy Lets hope the best for Ukraine.
May I ask what are you even doing in Poland for so long? I mean are you revisting or staying here for longer?
@@x_mazda8235 Yes, I'm planning on staying in Poland for now.
24:31 I've heard you read much better, to be honest 😚
Some words are tougher to pronounce for me, trying my best. Appreciate the honesty, I'll try harder next time.
I think many of us, also living in Kraków are digusted and upset on how the "ukrainian case" has turned for us, polish people.
And these ukrainian flags and their language everywhere makes me very angry.
I appreciate your honesty, I could sense that some people are becoming annoyed with them.
"Ukrainian case"? You're sounding like a certain moustache man over here man. I understand feeling weird with how our reality turned out in recent years but Jesus, some of my fellow Poles are showcasing disgusting behaviour.
You look great with your moustache.
@@robertkukuczka9469 Thanks.
